OVERVIEW

For the first time in Indonesia and ASEAN, first integrated supply chain logistics expo and conference CeMAT Southeast Asia | TransAsia Jakarta | ColdChain Indonesia (CTC) was successfully held jointly by PT. Debindo-ITE, Deutsche Messe and ITE Group Plc showing three pillars of logistics: intra-logistics, external logistics and cold-chain

Designed to be a business platform for supply chain business stakeholders, CTC represents a synergy between the exhibition organizers and the industry associations of Indonesian Logistic and Forwarders Association (ALFI), and Indonesian Logistics Association (ALI) in support to government policy in increasing logistics services quality and Indonesian multimodal transportation. Other supporting associations include Indonesian Transport Service User Council (DEPALINDO) and Indonesian Cold Chain Association (ARPI), as well as the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN Indonesia).

Mr. Budi Karya Sumadi - Minister of Transportation delivered a keynote speech and symbolically

officiated CTC with multiple drum beating.

Alongside the 3-day exhibition, CTC hosted international conference bearing the main theme of “Accelerating Interconnectivity: ASEAN and Beyond”, with Indonesian government ministers, director generals and other high-ranking officials, and expert speakers from Indonesia and overseas. Among the keynote speakers are Mr. Budi Karya Sumadi - Minister of Transportation and Mr. Enggartiasto Lukita - Minister of Trade. The international conference main theme was delivered in 3 streams of the supply-chain sector consisting of logistics, transportation and cold chain.

The Day 1 conference of March 2 began with a plenary session shedding highlights on economic policy update in support of supply chain in Indonesia and ASEAN. Mr. Edi Putra Irawady - Deputy Coordinating Minister of Economy for Industry and Trade delivered a key message on the government policy update on supply-chain industry. Industry-focused parallel conference sessions and panel discussions filled in the days 2 and 3 as well as annual conferences by industry associations: The Indonesian Transport Service User Council (DEPALINDO) and the Indonesian Cold Chain Association (ARPI), Mr. Olivier Janin - Secretary General European Material Handling Federation (FEM) and Mr. Sascha Schmel - Director of Germany VDMA Intra-logistic Department and Mr. George W. Prest Named CEO of Material Handling Industry of America.
