second edition of the Language Booster will give you lots-of practice in grammar, bulary, and communication skills. The Language Booster consists of two parts: the

rkbook and the Crammer Builder.

e Workbook 1he Lan guage Booster begins with a Workbook section (pages 8 -89). The exercises - each category (Grammar, Vocabu lary, and Communication) are organized into three levelsof difficulty: Get started (easy) , Move up (harder), and Reach for the top (challenging). You and your teacher can choose the level that suits you best, or you can w ork through all of the exercises. When you feel confident with one level, you can

ove on to the next.

After every three units in the Workbook, there's a Skills Development lesson with an engaging reading. Following the reading are vocabulary, comprehension, and writing acti vities. In the first reading, you'll read about two new technological innovations-a screen fridge and an online supermarket. In the second reading, you'll read about Romero Bryan, one of the hottest-s-and youngest-talents in fashion . In the third reading, you'll learn about one family's emigration from Ireland to America in 1845. And in the fourth reading, you'll read about three American teenagers and how they spend their money.

The Grammar Builder The second part of the Language Booster is called the Grammar Builder (pages 91-139). It con tains additional grammar exercises. Each unit of the Grammar Builder opens with grammar charts called Grammar Highlights. You can refer to the grammar charts while you do the exercises. You can work through the units in the Grammar Builder alongside the units in the Workbook, or you can do them later on.

VI/e hope that this Language Booster will give you all the help you need to learn English with success and enjoyment.

Welcome to the l:anguage Booster l iii
