We have used the colour balance effect to alter the hue, saturation and lightness of our video in order to create a more moody look, fitting in with the softness of the song and narrative of the video.

We cut our animated footage using the razor tool so that we were able to alter the speed and duration of separate images so that they fit in time with the music and the rest of the video.

After cutting our footage we were able to alter the speed and duration of individual images, allowing us to fit them in time with the music. This tool was very useful because it enabled us to alter the speed of footage which we were otherwise unable to do on Stop Motion Pro software.

The Luma curve effect was very useful when we were brightening the colour of our animated footage so that the images stood out and appeared more vibrant.

To ensure that our animated images fit the screen after transferring them from Stop Motion Pro, we added

titles to these images to create a background of the same colour so that there were no longer black boarders around them.

We have used an exponential fade effect to fade out the audio towards the end of the song. This has worked

well as it fits in with the slow, dream-like pace of the song and video.

We added cross dissolves to create smoother transitions between the live action and animated sequences, adding to the dream-like effect of the video and slow pace of the song.

We applied ‘dirty film’ over my footage to create a grainy effect. This has worked well with the grey/blue hues that we have applied and the stuttering movement of the animated sequences.
