Projects include characterization of interdependent and complex enhancer sequences and the trans-acting factors with which they interact. Specific approaches include gene transfer to cells in culture, transgenic mice, in vitro transcription, affinity chromatography for the purification of transcription factors, and DNAse footprinting.
