Apple:I have grown in;-Citing Evidence -Making Inferences These things show that this year throughout ELA I have tried my best to get good grades and make my teachers and family proud.

Onion:I would like to work on;-Knowing Perspectives -Themes of a story-Using Context Clues for vocabulary I don't understandTo do these things I will try my best to work on it and ask Mr.Montoya to help me.

Apple:I also have done my best in;-Making Inferences -Making a dialogue between two charactersThese two concepts were not difficult for me because of the focus and hard work I put into it. Mr. Montoya really helped and wanted me to succeed.

Apple:In Humanities I have grown in;-Ancient Egypt -Researching information-Civilizations-G.R.A.P.E.S and Mr. HelpI have grown a lot in Humanities this year, by working hard and trying my best.

Onion:I want to grow in;-Knowing my continents and oceans better-Knowing how they make mummies-Ancient GreeceNext year I want to ask more questions and focus. I hope that in 7th, I will learn much more.

Apple:I feel I also did well in;-The debates-Accountable talkSince the beginning of this year, I knew nothing about Humanities, but Mrs. Hervieux helped me understand and learn a lot more.

For this PBA I had to act like I was a traffic controller but for airplanes. I had to

-graph where the pilots had to go which was really fun and easy

-graph the points on the x-axis and y-axis

I like this piece of work because it was fun trying to “control” a plane. When trying to find the exact graphing point I always checked back my work to see if the points were correct.

This piece of work shows that this year in Math class I learned to always try my best on each subject no matter what it is.

Apple: Throughout this year in Math class, I feel I have tried my best on all subjects. I have been most successful in;-Fractions-Coordinate Planes-Plotting -Adding, multiplying, dividing fractions was easy to understand also.

Onion:I found Algebra to be the hardest for me because..-It had a lot of steps -Hard to remember exponents especially.Even though this was hard, I tried my best throughout the unit. Ms. Legon really helped us if we ever had questions or had trouble while learning.

Apple:I also I feel that I did well on plotting. This was an easy concept because all you needed to do was find the plotting points. Next year I hope to understand more and achieve more. I was afraid to ask questions, but I hope to ask as many questions next year.

I was really interested in what the phases where. I never imagined myself learning about the moon because it seemed so difficult but when Ms. Kirby thoroughly explained it to us with notes and games, I understood.

Many new things that I thought would be very difficult. I feel I have achieved many things in Science which is a subject that is very challenging for me.

Apple:Science is the one subject I thought was very hard to understand and was going to fail this year. On my first report card I got a 2 in Science. I was shocked but I knew why, so the next 3 quarters I went up and got to 3’s & 4’s. I am so proud of myself.

Onion:Something I didn’t do so well in Science this year was hypothesizing, I had a really hard time because I never knew how to phrase it, but throughout this year I have grown and have changed tremendously in Science and can not wait to learn many more new things in 7th grade.

Appel:Another thing in Science that I have grown in was growth and development. I had known some of this unit because I learned it in my past grades so I had some background knowledge which is good to have. Again I am very proud of myself this year in Science.

My group and I always contributed into a new sound, beat, or action. When we performed, I had so much fun and my other classmates liked it. I am very proud of my teammates and myself.

To do different things and make different sounds, and beats and work in groups. I also learned to perform and focus.

Apple:This year in MAGn’T I have tried my best to succeed. In Music I have learned to audiate, different types of tempos and volume. In art I have tried my best to understand different colors. In Gym/Health I have worked hard to understand about health and relationship.

Onion:I have to admit that some standards were very hard like;-The Pacer Test- The Say it, Clap it, Play it-Five Finger Pattern-Stained Glass I worked very hard and in the end I got a good grade. Next year I want to focus more if having difficulties even if they’re a challenge.

Apple:Even though I had some troubles I did have again some achievement in;-Friend or Foe-Patterned FacesMAGn’T this year was very fun, adventurous and exciting. I really tried to exceed expectations to make teachers and my parents proud. Can’t wait ‘till next year.

Describe what you did during your community service:

For my community service I cleaned up the leaves from Jenks Park. We had rakes, bags, broom, gloves, water bottles, which helped us all to help our community.

Analyze how you helped your community: I helped my community because during that month, they were going to have an event for Halloween and we helped clear the space out for the people who were going to attend.

Extend on how you can continue to support your community in the future:

I feel we can continue to support our community by helping out on the streets. This was a great opportunity for Segue scholars .

My Inside Out Project:

Describe what you did for you Inside Out ProjectI became a Chef for this project. On the slide it shows how I had to;-Boil plantains-Mash them-Cook eggs and salami, and onionsThis was a very fun because I love cooking and I can create anything when cooking.

Explain why it is something that is important to you.

This is very important to me because my family is always cooking. I enjoy cooking and everytime I cook I feel great.

Would you do this project again? Would you make any changes? Explain.

I would love to make this project again because I would change the way to might have cut things up but overall I am very happy. Next year though I want to try something new.
