Section 2-2 (Gallery & Lab) Context Plan
The big idea for the Wetland Education Park is to learn about wetlands while being in a wetland. This park is designed to facilitate interaction with the environment in a variety of ways – for community education, for Minnesota’s visiting school children, and for scientific research. In this project, I am in charge of building design including circulation, material and facade. I design an outdoor green path to connect different indoor and outdoor space, trying to create a gallery that showing the landscape of this site.

This research explores out how social factors effect human reading behaviors and how human reading behaviors effect the formation of public realm. The design of the Near West Side Library in Chicago will be an effective vehicle to this research. In particular, the site “N Canal St, Chicago” has high population density, first time to use new technology, great scenery on Chicago River and convenient transportation. Focus on the library, it is safe to say that researching readers’ behaviors is important to decide the future potential and program of library and we can also find some interesting changes of human behaviors or social life.

The concept of this project is "Gap". The site is a gap space of freeway and I must use this "Gap space" to fill the horizontal gap between capitol and downtown St. Paul. On the other hand, I want to design some vertical gap spaces for the private and the public.

This project based on my understanding of family life and space division that house bear three functions: work in studio, party in dining room and personal life in bedroom. So, I divide house into three parts: public space, half-public space and private space. Each space are connected by one circulation and this transportation circulation walk around courtyard that is the core space of this house.

This location allows us to create a gathering space that brings people together not only during the Olympic but also year around for the surrounding community members The site serves as a connecting point between the two main Olympic Games sports venues near the Tatsumi area. Our site is situated between a lower income housing complex and a higher income area.

Commerce and office Complex DesignIntern work in 2013, locate in Chengdu.
This design was finsihed in 2013 and my ro le was intern architect. My job in this design was helping chief architect to develop his hand draft into diagrams by using SketchUp and AutoCAD. Beside these, I use Ecotect and AutoCAD to test the sunlight, then making diagrams to support chief architect's design decision.
