The road accesses project is part of theproject of the New Containers Terminalof the Barcelona Port.

The study compiles all the existinginformation of the different works carriedout till the date and related to theaccessibility to the south extension of theport. Once all the information wascompiled, all the future actions wereanalyzed and a proporsal to incorporatethem was developed. It was chosen thesolution considered the most adequatefrom a technical, economical andoperational point of view.

The new roads will allow the access tothe future Tercat Terminal. Two roadjuctions, connected through the RoadPrat, are designed. The section isformed by a rail yard that providesservice to the Tercat Terminal and a 3+3rail axis and a rail service branch line forDecathlon.

The complexity of this project is theexecution of the different phases of theroad and rail layout, taking into accountthe structures that have to be designedto serve the future containers terminal ofthe Barcelona Port.

The final purpose is the drafting of thedetailed design of the phase 1 of thenew accesses works to the southextension of the Barcelona Port, inaccordance with the specifications of theexisting documents.
