You’re more talented than you think

The new platform gives you the Mentors the ability to tag your young people with Skills that relate to the Tasks they complete

The new platform records all the Skills that a young person has been tagged with on their Personal Profile.

Which young people can share with potential employers and keep updated with other projects and activities they do which build up their Skills.

How It Works

1. Young people say what they have been doing

The platform lets young people log the TASKS they have done that relate to the Projects they are part of. Young people can optionally attach a picture to their Update and one or more Skills.

Young people can be part of multiple projects.

Projects are run by Hubs.

2. Mentors and other people can tag each Update with a Skill

Mentors see the updates of the young people they work

with as soon as they login from the My Home view.

Young people’s Updates can also be seen directly on the

Project page for each project they are in.

The young person gets a notification telling

them that their update has been

tagged with a Skill.

3. The young person’s Profile becomes populated with badges for each Skill they’ve gained

The Steps

Mentor Sign UpEnter your • First name• Last name• Email Address• Upload a Profile Picture so that residents can recognise you and feel at home in the platform.• Password (you are asked to enter this twice to check that the first time was correct)Press SAVE CHANGES

Edit your Account SettingsYou can connect your Twitter and Facebook accounts to your profileOnce you have done that, Press SAVE CHANGESThe connecting of the accounts is so that you can login to the platform using one of your social accounts. It does not mean that people can now follow you on those platforms.

Join Your HubThis is you’re My Home. As you and your residents start using the platform you will see their Task Updates appearing in your Tasks Feed

My HomeThis contains your newsfeed on the right and a link to your Projects and Hubs on your left.It is the default page you arrive on when you login to Popup Talent TrackerFrom here you can explore Hubs, Projects, Skills, Resources, People and Opportunities

Creating Projects

Creating ProjectsFrom the Hub Dashboard you can create a Project.

• From the dropdown list, select the Hub for which you wish to create a project

Inviting young people to join a Hub or Project

Inviting young peopleTell the young people to register themselves on the platform.

• They just need to go to Signup on the platform homepage

• They can login using Facebook

Inviting young peopleOnce inside, the young person is prompted to Join a Hub.

• Once they have joined a Hub they can join its project(s).

Inviting young peopleOnce the young person has joined your Hub, they can then join the Project(s) that your Hub runs

Mentors and Residents join a Hub and once inside, Mentors can create projects and Residents can join projects
