CHAPTER-XI
ROADS AND BUILDINGS
Roads are considered as arteries of the economy. Lack of railway network and very limited
scope for water transport leave the district with roads as the only means of connectivity and transport. The
development of road network in the district is now therefore, receiving attention and priority in our
developmental plans. In the district there are three PWD (R&B) Divisions & three divisions to implement the
PMGSY flagship programme.
