What further proof do you need to see that we are fixated with

Most Americans believe in ghosts. Nearly 1 in 5 American adults say they have seen or

been in the presence of a ghost. Almost 30% share a belief

that they remain in contact with someone who has already died. Over 1/3 believe that spirits of the dead come back and that

their presences haunt among us today. According to one study,

people who go to church are a lot less likely to see a ghost.

A large and growing segment of the population today are inclined to believe or

at least open to the possibility of spectral visitation from a dearly departed loved one. In fact, 18% of Americans claim

to have seen a ghost and often it is something that bears likeness to someone

or something they loved.

There is an unbridgeable chasm between the dead and the living. Hell is an inescapable, permanent abode for all the unforgiven dead. They do not have

freedom of mobility or the luxury of roaming the earth to do self-atonement

or to make house calls.

Jesus clearly meant to communicate to us that the Eternal State of the dead,

whether in Heaven or in Hell, is a permanent accomodation. Our loved ones do not return from the dead to

comfort us, advise us, or commune with us. They remain separated from

influencing the lives of those still living upon earth.

“For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any

thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is

forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their

envy, is now perished; neither have they any

more a portion for ever in any thing that is done

under the sun.”

The dead do not continue to experience life “under the sun”. That is to say, they do not have any personal contact with the realm of the living. Those who are

deceased do not have consciousness of this realm of the living. (That is not to suggest that they are not conscious at

all; only that they are presently in another realm apart from this one.)

The departed do not retain their riches or their mementos. They do not carry

their vendettas or their obsessions with them to the grave. After death, they are

no more able to cross over from the realm of the dead to life. “Haunting”

therefore is not possible nor desireable.

truth. He is a clever and subtle manipulator – distorting and

transforming reality into an innocent, righteous, and innocuous form.

I believe that MANY people (even a lot of Christians) have been duped by the

devil into seeing no harm with the occult portrayals that pervade today’s air

waves and literature.

How most people think about the Occult in the media…

If you are not standing against the occult, then you are sympathetic with the occult. If you are entertained by the very things that

God detests, then your heart is far away from Gods.

If you think that certain ideas are only harmful if you believe in them, then you’re

living in a delusion. You don’t believe in idols, right? An idol is really nothing, right? So you can hang out in a pagan temple and enjoy

the ceremonies, rituals, and practices of the pagans around you, and still feel justified that

you’re doing right. Of course not!

Do you really think that you can explain away to your child what God has explicitly

forbidden?

I don’t deny that there is a clear occult/pagan connection, but I’m not actually involved in the occult. I don’t believe in it. I don’t accept it. I can still love God and watch it for entertainment.

The occult connotations are harmless if I don’t personally believe in them. They cannot have any power over me or my children if I do not let them. My children who watch the “Disney-fied” witchcraft are not subject to any harm! We don’t want them to feel left out since other kids are watching them.

I think that its safe if I take time to explain to my children that God is true and these stories are just mythical and fanciful stories of imagination. There’s no way they will become confused.

Satan is trying to feed us misinformation about himself. He uses

fear to induce our submission. He uses lies to manipulate our perception of what is right and wrong. He distorts God’s truth and clear commandments

and exploits it to his advantage. He uses attractive wisdom and appealing

logic to support his dastardly deceptive reasoning.

His accusations of God are subtle and yet devastating and we are gullible

and easily won over by his wiles and tricky tactics.
