Andy Warhol Today we are going to look at Andy Warhol Warhol mainly used screen printing process to apply images to his canvases. He is known for his repeated use of the same image using unrealistic colours. Look at his images: What kind of colours does he use? What effect do these have?

Why do you think he repeats images? What effect does this have on the viewer?

Complimentary colours Warhol is known for using complimentary colours. These are colours that create a ‘pop’ when placed next to each other. They make each other appear more vibrant. These are colours that are opposite each other on the colour wheel.

Let’s get creative! Today we are going to have a go at using complimentary colours We are going to use donuts.
