Working from detailed drawings or just a sketch or picture, our skilled, experienced creative team willdevelop bespoke mosaics. The result can truly be called a work of art, inspired by the customer’sown imagination.

We can use any of the true, cut or full tile methods of mosaic depending on which is suited for yourspecified environments.

Digital Print This method uses state of the art inkjet technology toprint a digital image onto the surface of the mosaic.

Tile Bands & Fades

Tile bands and fades are usually produced using the fulltile method primarily for the decoration of pool walls.

Full Tile The full tile method of mosaic is created using the fulluncut mosaics placed in set trays to your chosen designs. Full tile is the most economical method ofproduction and design.

True Mosaic The true method of mosaic is created using tiny colourful pieces of broken mosaic that when put together form a beautiful work of art.

Cut Tile The cut tile method consists of tiles that are precision cut and positioned into the mosaic grid to formthe exact shape of the chosen design.

Digital PrintOne of our most contemporary methods of mosaic design production, Digital Print literally replicatesany image to any scale. Picking up the minutest of details, it is ideal for intricate designs in a smallarea or where photographic reproduction quality is required.

Our design team can use any high definition image you desire, be it a family member, favouritelandscape or iconic image and reproduce it onto vitreous glass mosaic suitable for use in the poolor any internal or external wall application.

Full Tile A cost-effective way to personalise any pool is to create a simple but stunning motif using the “fulltile” mosaic method. Simply supply a picture of your required design and it can be reproduced usingmosaic in various colours.

Motifs can be produced using most of our popular mosaic ranges, the smaller the mosaic the moredetail can be achieved within the available area, eg. the image above was created using12x12mm glass mosaic whilst the image below was made using 25x25mm Harmonie mosaic.

Walls - PreparationArdex AM 100 is recommended for use as a wall render prior to tiling. Ardex AM 100 can be applied from 2-20mm thick and tiling can commence after 2 hours at 20°C.

Walls and Floors - WaterproofingUse ARDEX S 7 waterproof coating to ensure your swimming pool is water tight and free from leaks. Apply to walls and floors prior to tiling.Ensure you use the correct joint tapes required.

Walls - Tile FixingFix mosaics or wall tiles with ARDEX X 77 MICROTEC adhesive ensuring solid bedding is achieved.

Floors - PreparationDepending on the thickness of base required, there are three options for floor preparation prior to tiling.

1. Apply ARDEX S 21 neat to the floor at 0-10mm thickness

2. Apply ARDEX S 21 and the incorporation of screeding sand to produce a 10-30mm base.This can also be used to form ramps and falls.

3. Apply an ARDEX A 38 screed to make up a concrete base for a 15-50mm bonded screed.

Floors - Tile FixingEnsure solid bedding of the tiles is achieved when fixing mosaics or floor tiles using ARDEX X 77 MICROTEC adhesive or for a rapid setting adhesiveuse ARDEX X 77 S MICROTEC adhesive. If you are fixing large format tilesand require a semi-pourable adhesive, use ARDEX X 78 S MiCROTEC adhesive.

Grouting Walls and Floors1. ARDEX-FLEX FS and FL grouts are available in 32 colours to colour match any tile choice.

2. For areas where chemical resistance and hygienic joints are required use ARDEX EG 8 cement/epoxy hybrid grout and adhesive
