There are different types of aquatic biomes. Lakes, river, ponds, oceans and seas. An aquatic biome is the most largest biome. Water covers nearly 75 percent of the earth.

About the aquatic biome

Dragonflies live to about 6 to 8 weeks. Dragonflies lay their eggs in the water on a plant. A dragonfly can eat over 50 mosquitos in a day. Dragonflies grow quickly. They don’t only live in ponds they can also live in rivers and streams. They normally fly over ponds.

Earthworms have no eyes but they can feel if it is light outside. An earthworm also has no ears but they can sense if something next to them is swimming. Earthworms have no lungs but they can breath through their skin. Earthworms have five hearts.

American newts live for 4-5 years. There are three types of speices in Britain. Great crested newt, largest newt of three species, smooth newt , grows till 10cm and is brown and Palmate newt , grows to 6cm and is brown. Newts swim at the bottom of the pond.

A big and round pond lily and its green leaves are rooted at the bottom of the pond. In June, beautiful colored or white flowers bloom from the pad. Pond lilies die in the winter and grow back in spring. Yellow pond lilies have big leaves that grow round and heart shaped, they grow at about 12 inches long.

We should because we want the earth to be a clean place. We want to have a clean environment.

Why should we stop polluting the pond.

People pollute the water, They don’t care for the animals habitat, They can overfish the pond, they throw all the waste and dump into the pond.

How humans affect this biome?

Page 13: Ponds By. Reema al- suwaidi. The world biomes are Tundra, Ponds, Savanna, Rainforest, Alpine, Chaparral, Taiga and Grasslands. The Worlds Biomes

Humans should get the perfect amount of fish not more or less. Humans should throw their waste in the recycling bin, They should start to care for the animals habitat

What can be done to prevent this?
