IN THE EARLY 1970s, Dwight Sargent had a vis ion.

He dreamed of handcraf t ing furni ture using old-

world t radi t ions whi le maintaining a level of

unsurpassed craf tsmanship. In his smal l workshop

in Norwich, Vermont, Dwight bui l t Pompanoosuc

Mil ls f rom the ground up—with passion, precis ion

and persis tence. He recrui ted a team of ta lented

craf tsmen and began of fer ing customers heir loom-

qual i ty furni ture. Over the years, he has designed

and bui l t an extensive col lect ion of furni ture for both

home and of f ice. The designs range from classic to

elegant to rus t ic to contemporar y. Now, more than

40 years later, Pompanoosuc Mil ls is no longer jus t

a vis ion. I t is a legend.

Our American Exotics collection is an exceptional line

of furniture made with specialty woods from sufinishable

sources here in North America. Choose from unusual

species, such as tiger maple, spalted maple, cocobolo,

bird’s-eye maple, quilted maple, butternut, bastogne

walnut and reclaimed redwood, among others. As with all

our furniture, each piece is beautifully built, made to last

and signed by the maker. When our craftsmanship and

designs are combined with American Exotic woods, the

result is a remarkable and functional piece of art.

Our Green Commitment

SINCE OUR INCEPTION IN 1973, Pompanoosuc

Mills has been a green manufacturer—well before

“green” became a buzzword. We follow simple

principles that are good for our company and the

people who work here, good for the environment and

good for business. We also generate a significant

portion of the energy necessary to run our company

from our own waste. All the wood we use to build

our furniture is responsibly harvested from the forests

of North America. We also offer a special 100%

organic tung oil and citrus solvent that produces

a deep luster, is waterproof and is silky soft to the

touch. We continue to strive to make our company

the best it can be.
