School Age Services (SAS), located at the Porter Youth Center, offers Out of School care for children in kindergarten through Middle School (5th grade). We provide before and/or after school care for our military children and the community. Our leaders bring children to schools in the morning, and when children are dismissed from Marshall schools, our leaders walk them back to our center located across the street. The children have a choice of participating in various activities, ie physical fitness, life skills, Character Counts, conflict resolutions, computer lab, and are actively involved in our homework/Power Hour lab. We are an official Boys and Girls Club and 4-H member.

We have Family Nights once a month, which include parent & staff games and potluck. “Give Parent’s A Break” is conducted once a month to encourage parents to take a break while the children have a fun filled night of activities, to include dinner and a movie.

Children receive nutritious USDA approved breakfast, snacks and during school breaks they also receive nutritious lunches.

Full day camps are available for all breaks or days that school’s are out. A typical camp offers a variety of fun activities. We organize special events, field trips, hikes, carnivals and many presentations from a variety of community sources.
