Polytetra heat exchangers solve the problem of tube wear by preventing direct flow of the entering heating/cooling media onto the thin walled tubing for even flow throughout. Flow is diverted to the side of the shell avoiding possible high forces from damaging the thin wall internal tubes. This design also proves more efficient by spreading the initial contact of temperature control media to more than just a concentrated area.
