All Polycom video systems support point to point call speeds of

128Kbps up to 2Mbps for the VSX products and 4Mbps for the

HDX series products.

Actual bandwidth required is ‘Dialling Speed’ + 20% for IP and

signalling overhead.

1.5 - 2Mbps This provides the best resolution and motion more life-like conferences of groups of 5 or more. 2Mbps should be considered if content is being shared with the HD video.

HD Video Small Room & Exec Desktop

1 – 1.5Mbps HD video (point to point) is available at speeds from 832Kbps although it is suggested that a small group, as opposed to a single attendee, might benefit from higher speeds to provide more life-like motion handling.

Large & Medium Room

384 - 512Kbps Groups of more than 8 might benefit from 512Kbps due to the potential for more motion.(The HDX systems provide 4CIF (SD) resolution at this speed).

Small Room and Executive Desktop to room

256 - 384Kbps 384Kbps if sharing/showing content(The HDX systems provide 4CIF (SD) resolution at this speed).
