Chandigarh Police arrested Vicky R/o # 717/27, BDC, Sector-26,
Chandigarh near Kalagram Slip road, Chandigarh and recovered 1
KG 150 Gram of Ganja from his possession. A Case FIR No.14 U/S 20
NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh.
Chandigarh Police arrested Raju R/o # 6597/C, Sector-56,
Chandigarh near Nala, Makhan Majra, Chandigarh and recovered
1 KG and 100 Gram of Ganja from his possession. A Case FIR No.15
U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran,
Chandigarh.
2. 16.01.2016 Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of Chandigarh from
near residence and recovered 600 Gram of Ganja from her
possession. A Case FIR No.18 U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in
PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Further investigation is going on.
3. 13.02.2016 On 12.02.16 at about 02.43 AM, an information through wireless was
received in Police Station from control room that a snatching
incident has taken place near Mauli Jagran Chowk. On this
information, SI Randhir Singh along with police party reached at the
spot and a driver of Canter No. UP-14-DT-4080 namely Bakar Ali S/o
Safkat Ali, R/o Shabir Safi @ Papple Tempo Transport Tyagi market,
Rasid Ali Gate, Delhi-Saharanpur Road, Loni, Ghaziabad (UP) along
with his co-driver Mohd. Nadeem met there. The statement of Sh.
Bakar Ali has been recorded in which he stated that on 12.02.16, he
along with co-driver Mohd. Nadeem was going from Ghaziabad to
Kharar (Punjab) by driving his Canter/mini truck No. UP-14-DT-4080.
At about 02.30 AM, when they reached near Mauli Jagran Chowk,
they asked for the way to Kharar (PB) from the three boys who were
riding on Activa No. HR-03-S-9041. They told him that you are on the
wrong way and turn your Canter/mini truck back. When he turned
his Canter back, these three boys stopped his way by putting their
Activa in front of their Canter/mini truck. Two boys forcibly entered
in the Canter/mini truck and one boy put the knife on his neck and
other boy put a Pistol on his co-driver head. They robbed Rs.
15,400/- from them. They has also taken the bag containing the
documents of his Canter/mini truck and fled away. Hence, a case
FIR No. 34 Dt. 12.02.16 u/s 397, 34 IPC was registered on the
statement of complainant Bakar Ali.
A special team headed by Insp. Baldev Kumar, SHO PS MJ under
the supervision of Sh. Guriqbal Singh, IPS, ASP/East was formed. The
said team achieved success in arresting the accused persons
namely Gopal S/o Kailash R/o H. No. 1523, Rajiv Colony, Sector 17,
Panchkula (HR), Kuldeep Singh S/o Anurag R/o H. No. 858, Rajiv
Colony, Sector 17, Panchkula (HR) and Sonu @ Khanna S/o Fateh
Bahadur R/o H. No. 1433, Rajiv Colony, Sector 17, Panchkula (HR)
and the following cases have been worked out-
1. FIR No. 34 Dt. 12.02.16 U/S 397, 34 IPC PS MJ, Chandigarh.
2. FIR No. 39 Dt. 12.02.16 U/S 382, 34 IPC PS MM, Chandigarh.
3. FIR No. 11 Dt. 30.12.15 U/S 379 IPC PS MJ, Chandigarh.
4. FIR No. 42 Dt. 10.02.16 U/S 379, 356, 34 IPC PS I/A, Chandigarh.
5. FIR No. 17 Dt. 14.01.16 U/S 380 IPC PS MJ, Chandigarh
6. FIR No. 406 Dt. 04.08.15 U/S 380 IPC PS MM Chandigarh
The involved Activa No. HR-03-S-9041 was also recovered from their
possession. The investigation of the case is going on.
4. 5.3.2016 Accused Arrested in FIR No. 45 U/s 473,411 IPC, PS-Mauli Jagran,
Chandigarh
Chandigarh Police arrested Paramjit Singh R/o Village
Naugawan, Distt. Fatehgarh Sahib (PB) from Mauli Jagran,
Chandigarh on 04-03-2016 and recovered Hero Honda M/Cycle
with fake number PB10-DM-8980 in place of its original number
CH01-AB-2086. A Case FIR No. 45, U/S 473, 411 IPC has been
registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case
is in progress.
5. 4.3.2016 Accused Arrested in FIR No. 44 u/s 307 IPC added 302,201 IPC, PS-
Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh
A Case FIR No. 44 U/S 307 IPC added 302,201 IPC has been
registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh against Malkit Singh R/o
# 334, Village-Mauli, Chandigarh who attacked upon his brother
Amrik Singh by stick and knife on 2.3.2016 at his residence. Who got
admitted to GMSH-16 where duty doctors declared him as brought
dead. Accused Malkit Singh has been arrested in this case.
Investigation of the case is in progress.
6. 1.3.2016 Accused Arrested in FIR No. 43, u/s 473,411 IPC PS-Mauli Jagran, UT,
Chandigarh
A Case FIR No. 43 U/S 473,411 IPC has been registered in PS-
Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh against Jang Singh R/o # 1887, Village-
Burail, Chandigarh who has been arrested near Railway Road, Mauli
Jagran, Chandigarh while using fake registration number PB-10-BU-
2838 on his M/Cycle instead of original registration number PB-10-BU-
2238 on 29.2.2016. Investigation of the case is in progress.
7. 07.04.2016 Accused arrested in Case FIR No. 64 U/S 20 NDPS Act, PS-Mauli
Jagran, Chandigarh
Chandigarh Police arrested Balbir Singh R/o # 2087, Mauli Jagran
Complex, MM, Chandigarh near Prachin Shiv Mandir, Railway Road,
Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh and recovered 20 Gram of Charas from
his possession. A Case FIR No. 64 U/S 20 NDPS Act has been
registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh.
8. 22.4.2016 Accused arrested in case FIR No.52/2016, PS-Mauli Jagran
On 05.03.16, Smt. Sukhdeep Kaur w/o Jasvir Singh R/o# 162,
Vill. Raipur Khurd, Chandigarh had given a written statement
regarding missing of her husband Jasvir Singh. She stated that her
husband namely Jasvir Singh Age 40 years is serving in Punjab Police
and presently posted at Punjab Police Commando Complex, Phase
II, Mohali (PB). On 03.03.16 at about 05.00 AM, he went to perform
his duty. But neither he reached on his duty nor came back.
Accordingly, a Case FIR No. 52/2016 u/s 363 IPC PS Mauli Jagran
was registered in this regard.
During the course of investigation, a Special
Investigation Team comprising Insp. Baldev Kumar (SHO PS MJ) and
Insp. Ranjit Singh (Crime Branch) was constituted by senior officers
to investigate the matter under the close supervision of ASP/East.
During the investigation by SIT, technical/circumstantial evidences
have been collected from which the statement of complainant
Sukhdeep Kaur came under the scanner. So, she was interrogated
thoroughly. During the interrogation, Sukhdeep Kaur confessed that
she murdered her husband Jasvir Singh with the help of Sahib Singh
and two other persons to whom she can identify. During further
investigation it is revealed that the above mentioned accused are
in judicial custody in Patiala Jail in Case FIR No. 15 Dt. 16.01.16 u/s
307, 353, 186, 34 IPC & 25/54/59 Arms Act PS Zirakpur (PB).
Accordingly, Sukhdeep Kaur was arrested on 17.04.16 and Section
302, 201, 120B IPC has been added in the above said case. She was
produced before the Hon’ble court and her police custody remand
was obtained and Production Warrant of the above said accused
i.e. Sahib Singh S/o Rajinder Singh R/o VPO Pandtan Kheri, Rajpura,
Patiala (PB), Deepak S/o Ajay Kumar R/o 20C 66 KB Grid Colony
Patiala (PB) and Manpreet S/o Guddu Ram R/o VPO Ajarawal,
Rajpura, Distt. Patiala (PB) has also been obtained from the Hon’ble
Court and they were taken from Patiala Jail and produced before
the Ilaqua Magistrate, UT, Chandigarh. They were arrested on
19.04.16 after the permission of Hon’ble court and their Police
custody remand up to 22.04.2016 was obtained.
During the interrogation, accused Sahib Singh
disclosed that he murdered Jasvir Singh with the help of Sukhdeep
Kaur w/o Late Sh. Jasvir Singh R/o H. No. 162, Vill. Raipur Khurd,
Chandigarh, Gurjinder Singh @ Neeta S/o Sardar Singh R/o Vill
Neelpur PS City Rajpura, Distt. Patiala (PB) and Jagtar Singh S/o
Garib Singh R/o Vill. Suandeo PS Focal point Rajpura, Distt. Patiala
(PB). He further disclosed that there was no role of Deepak and
Manpreet in committing murder of Jasvir Singh. Upon the confession
of Sahib Singh, a raid was conducted at the given addresses and
Gurjinder Singh @ Neeta and Jagtar Singh @ Rinku were arrested on
19.04.16 upon the identification of accused Sahib Singh. They were
also identified by Sukhdeep Kaur. During their interrogation, they
disclosed that they mixed sleeping pills in the food of Jasvir Singh
and when he become unconscious, they put off his all clothes
except underwear and tied his hand. After that they took him in car
and went to Village Mandouli near Rajpura District Patila and threw
Jasvir Singh in Bhakhra Canal. Thereafter, the civil clothes of Jasvir
Singh was thrown in the bushes near canal by Gurjinder @ Neeta
and uniform was thrown in the forest near Raipur Khurd by Sahib
Singh. The mobile phone and purse of Jasvir Singh containing
documents was thrown in Ghaggar River by Sukhdeep Kaur. The
belongings of the deceased were thrown to show that he
(deceased) had gone on his duty.
On their disclosure statements, on 20.04.16 a search
operation was conducted in Bhakhra canal with the help of
deceased’s relatives. On the same day, one dead body only in
underwear was found in Bhakhra Canal near Vill. Chumar Khera,
Distt. Karnal (HR) and same was later on identified as deceased
Jasvir Singh by his relatives. The dead body was kept in Civil
Hospital, Karnal (HR). On 21.04.16, dead body of Jasvir Singh was
brought to GMCH Sector 32, Chandigarh for post mortem. The post
mortem of deceased Jasvir Singh has been conducted by a team
of doctors in GMCH Sector 32, Chandigarh and after post mortem,
dead body was handed over to deceased’s relatives.
During further investigation it is revealed that
Sukhdeep Kaur was in touch through social media i.e whatsapp
and facebook with one Mr. Harjit Singh S/o Nachhatar Singh R/o
Village Ganga PS Nathana, District Bathinda for the last four years.
Harjit Singh is working in Behrin for the last 4-5 years. She wanted to
marry Harjit Singh and she did not disclose him that she is already
married. She continuously insisted him to marry her. Upon her
insistence Harjit Singh told her that when he will come to India he will
marry her. One year back Sukhdeep Kaur went to the native village
of Harjit Singh alongwith one Mr. Harjinder @ Raju to whom she has
introduced as her brother with parents of Harjit Singh. She told them
that they both loved each other. She insisted the parents of Harjit
Singh to perform Roka Ceremony. Upon her insistence the parents
of Harjit Singh performed Roka ceremony with the photo of Harjit
Singh. Sukhdeep Kaur wanted to get rid out Jasvir Singh and for this
she contacted Sahib Singh and asked her to murder Jasvir Singh. For
this Sahib Singh demanded Rs. 5 lacs from her to commit the murder
of Jasvir Singh. Sukhdeep Kaur gave Rs. One lac as first installment
to Sahib Singh and he further hired Gurjinder @ Neeta and Jagtar
Singh @ Rinku. These accused murdered Jasvir Singh in connivance
with each other. During investigation, all the belonging of deceased
i.e Civil clothes, uniform, mobile phone and purse have been
recovered by the SIT.
9. 19.4.2016 Accused arrested in Case FIR No. 73 U/S 473,353 IPC, PS-Mauli
Jagran, Chandigarh
A Case FIR No. 73 U/S 473,353 IPC has been registered in PS-
Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh against Sukhwinder Singh R/o Village-
Kular, Tehsil-Shahkot, Distt-Jalandhar (Pb) who has been arrested
near Bridge, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on 18.4.2016 and recovered
Tempo Traveler with fake registration number PB-01-8330 instead of
original registration number DL-1VA-7508. Accused has been
arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Shiv Kumar Tiwari R/o # 913, Rajeev
Colony, Sector 17, Panchkula (HR) near Sant Nirankari Bhawan,
Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh and recovered 100 Gram of charas from
his possession. A Case FIR No. 76, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been
registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh.
14. 09.05.2016 Apprehension of accused in Case FIR No. 83 U/S 20 NDPS Act has
been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh.
Chandigarh Police arrested Shami R/o # 2071, Mauli Complex,
Chandigarh near Cremation Ground, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh
and recovered 225 Gram of Ganja from his possession. A Case FIR
No. 83 U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran,
Chandigarh.

A Case FIR No.90 U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-
Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh against Manish R/o # 1511, Mauli
Complex, Chandigarh who has been arrested near Prachin Shiv
Mandir, Railway Road, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh and recovered
one Knife from his possession.
16. 04.06.2016 Apprehension of accused in Case FIR No. 101 U/S 302 IPC has been
registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh
Mohd. Chand R/o # 1821, Indira Colony, Sector-16, Panchkula (Hry)
reported that Shahbaj @ Daud R/o # 397, Village-Mauli Jagran,
Chandigarh stabbed Mohd. Irfan R/o # 450, Village-Mauli,
Chandigarh near Sarif Halal Meat Shop, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh
on 4.6.2016. Who got injured and lifted to Civil Hospital, Sector-6,
Panchkula (Hry) where duty doctor declared him as brought dead.
A Case FIR No. 101 U/S 302 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli
Jagran, Chandigarh. Accused has been arrested in this case.
17. 09.06.2016 Apprehension of accused in Case FIR No. 104 U/S 457,380 IPC
added 411 IPC registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chd
Sh. Uday Raj R/o # 2278, Vikas Nagar, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh
reported that someone has stolen two purses containing D/L, 2 ATM
cards and Cash Rs. 2725/- from his residence on the night
intervening 8/9.6.2016. Later on a Juvenile age about 17 years has
been apprehended in this case and sent to Juvenile Home. A Case
FIR No. 104 U/S 457,380 IPC added 411 IPC has been registered in
PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh.
18. 04.07.2016 Arrest of accused in case FIR No. 117 U/S 312, 511, 419, 420, 34 IPC &
5(2) MTP Act 1971 of PS-MJ, Chandigarh.
A Case FIR No. 117 U/S 312, 511, 419, 420, 34 IPC & 5(2) MTP
Act 1971 has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on
the complaint of DPO Panchkula (HR). She reported that she got a
written complaint from a lady resident of Panchkula (HR) who
stated that she has two daughters and is pregnant now. A chemist
namely Lalit R/o Vill. Rally Sector 12 Panchkula (HR) asked her to do
abortion when she is pregnant of 6 months. On this complaint, a
special team was constituted. Abortion was fixed for 03.07.16. On
03.07.16, said lady contacted Lalit who called her at Amartax
Chowk, Panchkula (HR). One person led them and takes them to
House in Vikas Nagar Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. One person fled
away from the spot and two ladies were apprehended. Both were
trying to abort the said lady. She (said lady) was referred to Civil
hospital Sector 6 Panchkula (HR). The instruments and medicine
used for abortion were taken in police possession. During the course
of investigation, accused ladies residents of Chandigarh have been
arrested in this case.
19. 04.07.2016 Arrest of accused in case FIR No. 117 U/S 312, 511, 419, 420, 34 IPC &
5(2) MTP Act 1971 of PS-MJ, Chandigarh.
A Case FIR No. 117 U/S 312, 511, 419, 420, 34 IPC & 5(2) MTP
Act 1971 has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on
the complaint of DPO Panchkula (HR). She reported that she got a
written complaint from a lady resident of Panchkula (HR) who
stated that she has two daughters and is pregnant now. A chemist
namely Lalit R/o Vill. Rally Sector 12 Panchkula (HR) asked her to do
abortion when she is pregnant of 6 months. On this complaint, a
special team was constituted. Abortion was fixed for 03.07.16. On
03.07.16, said lady contacted Lalit who called her at Amartax
Chowk, Panchkula (HR). One person led them and takes them to
House in Vikas Nagar Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. One person fled
away from the spot and two ladies were apprehended. Both were
trying to abort the said lady. She (said lady) was referred to Civil
hospital Sector 6 Panchkula (HR). The instruments and medicine
used for abortion were taken in police possession. During the course
of investigation, accused ladies residents of Chandigarh have been
arrested in this case.
20. 04.08.2016 One missing boy Gurcharan Singh age about 16 years has been
traced out.
A case FIR No 130, dated 26.7.16, u/s 363 IPC has been registered in
PS-Mauli Jagran and same has been worked out with the trace out
of missing boy Gurcharan Singh age 16 years S/o Sardari Lal R/o #
371, Village Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. One preventive action U/s
171/151 CRPC also taken and four persons have been arrested.
21. 05.08.2016 Accused arrested in Rape Case.
One accused Sunny Chauhan R/o # 128-C, Village-Makhan Majra,
Chandigah has been arrested in Case FIR No. 133 dated 5.8.2016
U/S 376,420,506 IPC, PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh.
22. 16.8.2016 Today, Sh. Tejinder Singh Luthra, Inspector General of Police,
UT, Chandigarh awarded the following PCR Staff i.e. Sr. Constable
Gurmail Singh and Constable Amit Kumar with Commendation
Certificate Class-I along with cash Reward of Rs. 1000/- each, for
their future encouragement.
Brief of case as under:
On 13/14.08.2016 night PCR vehicle Echo-38 was Stationed on their
assigned location Housing board light point in the jurisdiction of PS-
Mouli Jagran. At about 10.43 PM one person namely Bittu S/O
Ramesh Kumar R/O H.No. 348, Gali No. 6, Daria ,Chandigarh came
there and told PCR officials that three/Four persons robbed his
purse, chain, Mobile phone and some other documents and run
Kala Gram light point side . At once PCR officials inform to the
control room in this regard, on the direction of control room, PCR
Officials along with complainant started searching of these persons.
During searching PCR staff nabbed these 04 persons and
complainant has identified them. During the search above said
purse, chain, mobile phone, knife and some valuable documents
has been recovered from their possession. Their names were
Gobinda S/O Ram ParsadR/O H. No. 450 Industrial Area Colony, PKL
HR age 18 Years, Om Prakash R/o # 261, Indira Colony, Panchkula,
Raju R/o # 881, Indira Colony, Pkl and Sagar R/o # 582, Indira
Colony, Pkl. All four accused persons along with above said items
handed-over to EO SI Nihal Singh of PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh
for further action. In this regard a case FIR No. 140 dated 14.08.2016
U/s 341, 397, 34 IPC PS Maulijagran has been registered. The case is
under investigation.
23. 29.08.2016 Two held with Ganja
Chandigarh Police arrested Som Nath R/o # 2098, Mauli Jagran
Complex, Chandigarh near Prachin Shiv Mandir, Mauli Jagran
Complex, Chandigarh and recovered 220 Gram of Ganja from his
possession. A Case FIR No. 154 U/S 20 NDPS ACT has been registered
in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Further investigation is going on.
Chandigarh Police arrested Parvinder Singh R/o Village-Cholta,
Tehsil-Kharar, Distt-Mohali (Pb) from Sector-56, Chandigarh and
recovered 280 Gram of Ganja from his possession. A Case FIR No.
266 U/S 20 NDPS ACT has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh.
Further investigation is going on.
24. 03.09.2016 Accused arrested in robbery case.
A case FIR No. 159, dated 03.09.16 u/s 392, 34 IPC has been
registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh and same has been
worked out with the arrest of one accused namely Amit R/o # 901,
Rajiv Colony, Sec-17, Panchkula, (HR).
25. 23.11.2016 Chandigarh police arrested Rahul R/o # 2117, Mauli Jagran
Complex, Chandigarh, near AKM Bhatha, Vikas Nagar, Mauli
Jagran, Chandigarh on 22-11-2016, and recovered 5 gram of smack
from his possession. A Case FIR No. 198, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been
registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh.
26. 06.01.2017 One arrested with 5 Gram of Smack
Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of Chandigarh near
Kerosene Oil Pump, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh and recovered 5
Gram of Smack from her possession. A Case FIR No.06 U/S 21 NDPS
Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh.
27. 06.01.2017 One arrested with 5 Gram of Smack
Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of Chandigarh near
Kerosene Oil Pump, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh and recovered 5
Gram of Smack from her possession. A Case FIR No.06 U/S 21
NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh.
28. 20.02.2017 One arrested under 20 NDPS Act and recovered 500 gram
Ganja.

Sadanand R/o Village Fakot, Ward No. 4, Kali Gate, Nepal near
Nirankari Bhawan, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh and recovered 500
gram Ganja recovered from his possession. A case FIR No. 25,
U/S 20 NDPS Act was registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh
Investigation of the case is in progress.
29. 05.03.2017 One arrested under NDPS Act
Chandigarh Police arrested Vijay R/o # 2119, Mauli Complex,
Chandigarh near Prachin Shiv Mandir, Railway Raod, Mauli
Complex, Chandigarh and recovered 250 gram of poppy husk
from his possession. A case FIR No. 34, U/S 22 NDPS Act has
been registered in PS-Mauli jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of
the case is in progress.
30. 10.03.2017 One arrested with 60 Gram of Charas
Staff of PS-Mauli Jagran arrested Ravi R/o # 3795, Mauli
Complex, Chandigarh near AKM Bhatta, Mauli Jagran and
recovered 60 Gram of Charas from his possession. A Case FIR
No. 36, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran,
Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Jagran, Chandigarh and recovered 330 Gm Charas from his
possession. A case FIR No. 111, U/S 20 NDPS act has been
registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the
case is in progress.
35. 14.07.2017 One arrested in Attempt to Murder
A case FIR No. 122, U/S 307 IPC has been registered in
PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on the complaint of Saravanan R/o
# 438/A, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh alleged that Arshmani R/o #
438, Village-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh stabbed complainant on
his neck at his residence on 13.07.2017. Complainant got injured
and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Accused has been
arrested in this case.
36. 24.07.2017 One arrested under NDPS Act
Chandigarh Police arrested Kala R/o # 2099, Mouli Complex,
Chandigarh from AKM Bhatta Turn, Mouli Jagran, Chandigarh and
recovered 33 Injections (20 Injections Buprenorphine each 2 ML and
13 Injections Pheniramine Maleate each 10 ML) from his possession.
A case FIR No. 135, U/S 22 NDPS act has been registered in PS-Mouli
Jagran, Chandigarh.
37. 25.07.2017 One arrested under NDPS Act
Chandigarh Police arrested a lady residence of Chandigarh from
Prachin Shiv Mandir, Railway Road, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh and
recovered 1 Kg Ganja from his possession. A case FIR No. 136, U/S 20
NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh.
38. 19.08.2017 Two arrested under NDPS Act
Chandigarh Police arrested Raghav Narang R/o # 326 Village-
Raipur Khurd, Chandigarh near Nirankari Bhawan, Mauli Jagran,
Chandigarh and recovered 4 GM Heroin from his possession. A case
FIR No. 156, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran,
Chandigarh.
Chandigarh Police arrested Amritpal R/o VPO Rampura Phool
Dist-Bathinda, PB, near AKM Bhatta turn, Vikas Nagar Mauli Jagran,
Chandigarh and recovered 5 GM Heroin from his possession. A case
FIR No. 157, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran,
Chandigarh.
39. 17.10.2017 Missing Child Traced out within 12 hours
On 16.10.17 at about 8.20 PM, information received from Control room
that a girl child age about 06 years is missing from Park, Raipur Kalan,
Chandigarh. On this information, HC Satpal Singh 1096/CP along with
L/HC Santosh 1962/CP Const. Parhlad 3757/CP reached at the spot,
where Sh. Chandan Mehto S/o Sh. Sambhav Mehto C/o Shadi Ram,
Room No.02, Raipur Kalan, Chandigarh met there. He stated that on
16.10.17 at about 2.00PM, his daughter namely Raveena age 6 years
was playing in the Park Village Raipur Kalan, Chandigarh. But when she
did not come back to his house till 4.00 PM, he started searching her
but she did not found. He suspected that someone has kidnapped her
daughter Raveena. On his statement a Case FIR No 195 dated 17.10.17
u/s 363 IPC, PS-Mauli Jagran was registered.
During the course of investigation, a special team lead by
SHO, PS- Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh searched the girl at nearby areas
and at Jungle area of Makhan Majra. During the search, team got the
information that one girl was seen in Ind. Area, Panchkula, Haryana.
On this information, police party along with complainant reached at
Ind. Area, Panchkula, Haryana where they found that a girl age about
6 yrs was stopped by a lady namely Smt. Nirmali Devi w/o Birju R/o
Plot No.237, Ph-I, Ind. Area, Panchkula (HR) and the girl was in the
safe custody of the this lady. The complainant also identified the
same as his daughter Raveena. The medical of the girl was conducted
from Civil Hospital, Mani Majra, Chandigarh and nothing found
objectionable. The missing girl child was handed over to her parents.
The missing girl child was traced due to the sincere efforts of SHO
and Police party of PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh within 12 hours. 40. 30.04.2018 Four persons arrested in attempt to Murder and Firing case
On 30.04.18, Case FIR No. 120 U/S 147,148,149,307 IPC &
25/27/54/59 Arms Act PS Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh was registered
on the complaint of a person who stated that on 29.04.18 he along with
his friends went to Community Centre, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh to
attend a marriage function. At about 11:00 PM they were talking with
each other on the road side, near Mazaar Peer Baba, Mauli Jagran. In
the mean time 10-12 boys came there and asked them, why they were
roaming in their area in night time and attacked on them with pistols,
iron roads, swords and sticks. They started firing on them, causing
this, they received bullet injury, they also attacked on them with
swords, iron rods and sticks. When they raised an alarm, all fled away
from spot. Injured were taken to GMCH-32, Chandigarh by PCR
vehicle for treatment. Later on 06.05.18, during the treatment in PGI
one injured Vikas S/o Ram Bilas R/o Uklana Mandi, Hisar HR expired
and section 302 IPC was added in the above case.
During the course of investigation special teams under the
supervision of SDPO/East were constituted and raids are being
conducted at various places to arrest the accused persons. During
investigation, today a team headed by SHO PS-19 Insp. Davinder
Singh and Insp. Kapil Dev SHO, PS Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh gained
success in arresting four accused persons in the above said case on
secret information from near Vill. Raipur Kalan, Chandigarh. 41. 01.01.2018 to
18.05.2018
Good work done by PS-Mauli Jagran between 01.01.2018 to
18.05.2018
During the period from 01.01.18 to till date (i.e 18.05.18) total 120
cases have been worked out and 142 cases have been disposed off.
Out of which 01 case of Dacoity has been registered and same has
been worked out in which property worth Rs. 20000/- was robbed. 04
cases of Robbery registered in which property worth Rs. 27800/- was
involved and all cases including one old case have been worked out. 01
case under Snatching head was registered and same has been worked
on and snatched property worth Rs. 10000/- has been recovered. 01
case of Burglary has been worked out. 03 cases under M.V.Theft head
including one old case have been worked out. 05 cases under ‘Other
Theft’ head have been worked out.
During this period, one case under NDPS head was registered in which
30 grm Heroin was recovered from the possession of accused person.
03 cases under ‘Gambling Act’ were registered and Cash Rs. 3070/-
have been recovered from the 09 accused persons. 86 cases under
‘Punjab Police Act’ were registered in which 89 person have been
apprehended while they were drinking at public places.
Apart from above, during the year 2018, total 12 heinous cases i.e 02
Murder cases i.e FIR Nos. 25/18 & 120/18, 01 Culpable Homicide i.e
FIR No. 106/18, 08 kidnapping cases i.e FIR Nos. 18/18,20/18, 23/18,
35/18, 54/18 , 57/18, 76/18 & 115/18 and 01 rape case i.e FIR No.
75/18 were registered and out of which 09 cases have been worked
out.
During the year 2018 total 253 complaints have been received and 248
complaints have been disposed off. During the period year 2018 total
05 POs have been arrested. During the year 2018 total 39 preventive
action have been taken in which 60 persons have been booked. During
the period total 205 traffic challan have been issued to the violators.
During the period, total 246 passport verifications and 681 service
etc. verification have been conducted.
42. 17.06.2018 One arrested for Snatching
A lady resident of Sector-20, Chandigarh reported that unknown person
snatched away mobile phone from complainant near Housing Board light point,
Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on 16.06.2018. A case FIR No. 167, U/S 356, 379
IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Later one persons
namely Ram Lal R/o Punjab Tiber Market, near Housing Board light point, Mauli
Jagran, Chandigarh, age 36 years, has been arrested in this case.
43. 08.08.2018 Joint Search Operation at Mauli Complex & Rajiv Colony, Panchkula
Today on 09.08.18, at early morning, a joint search operation
has been carried out in Rajiv Colony PKL (HR) and Mauli Complex
Chandigarh with the co-ordination of Chandigarh & Haryana police.
Search operation has been conducted in Rajiv Colony PKL (HR) under
the supervision of SHO PS 14 PKL. (HR) and in Mauli Jagran Complex
Chandigarh under the supervision of SHO PS Mauli Jagran and SHO
PS 19 Chandigarh. Total 128 police officials i.e 93 of Chandigarh police
and 35 of Haryana police were deployed in joint search operation.
During the joint search operation, total 110 persons have been
rounded up and proper verification of all the particulars of checked
persons is being verified
All above special checking drives are being conducted under
directions of SSP/UT, Ms. Nilambari Jagdale, IPS issued to all the
SDPOs/SHOs of police stations in their respective areas. These
special drives are being conducted by Police Stations staff under the
close supervision of SDPOs and SHOs. All the SDPOs & SHOs have
been briefed about the safety, security of citizens especially Women
& Children and maintenance of law & order in their respective
jurisdictions.
44. 05.09.2018 Kidnapping case solved child safely recovered
On 04.09.18 at 11:20 PM a call from Control Room received regarding
kidnapping of a child from parking infront of Solitare Hotel, NAC,
Manimajra, Chandigarh. On this information, Insp. Baljit Singh SHO
PS Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh along with HC Jagbir Singh 1051/CP and
other officials reached at the spot where one employ of Hotel
Solitare told that a Nepali type person took the child in a Auto
towards Panchkula and father of child has also gone behind him. On
this, SHO PS Mauli Jagran along with police party rushed toward
Panchkula and apprehended the accused person and recovered
kidnapped child in the market Sec-8, Panchkula. The child age-3 years
was recovered safely. A case FIR no. 260 dated 05.09.18 U/S
363,363A IPC was registered on the statement of Raj, the father of
kidnapped child who is working as sweeper in NAC showrooms and
residing in the Varanda’s infront of SCO No. 906, NAC, MM, Chd.
Accused Dutta Boro S/o Ranjeet Boro R/o H.No. 984, Sec- 10,
Panchkula, HR was arrested. 45. 28.10.2018 Absconded accused apprehended
A case FIR No 411 Dated 28.10.18 u/s 147, 149, 332, 353, 323
IPC has been registered on the complaint of HC Mhavir Singh No
1005/CP, who mentioned that on 28.10.18, he along with C Pardeep
434/CP was on patrolling duty in Ram Darbar beat area on his private
motorcycle, in the meantime, he saw the absconded accused namely
Deepak @ Deepa S/o Kalu Ram # 1384, Ph-II, Ram Darbar, Chd, in
attempt to murder case i.e. FIR No 112 Dated 14.03.18 u/s 147, 149,
452, 506, 427, 307 IPC PS 31, Chd and FIR No 298 Dated 17.09.17
u/s 147,148,149,307,506 IPC and 25/54/59 Arms Act PS 31, who was
sitting on pillion seat of the motorcycle, which was driving by one Anil
Kumar, who is also involved and on bail in case FIR no. 298/17 u/s
147,148,149, 307, 506 IPC & 25/54/59 Arms Act. On this, the police
officials started following them. On seeing police officials, Anil Kumar
(motorcyclist) escaped with motorcycle after dropping the accused
Deepak @ Deepa, who further tried to sped away, but the accused was
caught by HC Mhavir Singh No 1005/CP after a great struggle. On
this, the accused Deepak @ Deepa raised an alarm for his help,
thereon, in the meantime, his associates namely Gaurav, Aman, Akram
Khan @ Sonu & Anil started pelting stones on the police officials to
get the accused Deepak released, therein, HC Mhavir Singh & Const.
Pardeep Kumar 434/CP sustained injuries on his face & knee and blood
was oozing. But, HC Mhavir Singh did not let the accused Deepak @
Deepa released from his clutch. During the episode, the accused
Deepak@ Deepa also received injuries, who also tried his best to
release himself. They also succeeded to apprehend the stone pelter
co-accused Akram Khan @ Sonu with the help of Const. Pardeep Kumar
434/CP. Whereas, other accused managed to escape from the spot
before the arrival of the police party.
That, the accused Deepak @ Deepa S/o Kalu Ram R/o H No 1384,
Phase II, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh and Akram Khan @ Sonu S/o Sultan
Khan R/o HNo 367, RD II, Chandigarh have been arrested and other
co-accused in the present case are absconded from their houses.
Police parties have been dispatched to their hideouts to nab them.
That, the accused Deepa, Anil, Aman, Gaurav are involved in many
cases. 46. 29.11.2018 Robbery case solved
On 27.11.18 at 7.00 PM an information was received from
control room that there is stabbing incident near Gurudwara Makhan
Majra, Chandigarh. On this information SHO, PS-Mauli Jagran along
with police party reached at the spot and found that PCR vehicle taken
the injured person at GMCH Sec 32 Chandigarh. Complainant found
admit at GMCH Sector 32 Chandigarh. His statement was recorded in
which he stated that he is working at Kabari shop of Suresh kumar. He
further stated that on 27.11.18 at about 6.10 pm he was going to Mkt.
Vikas Nagar Mauli Jagran Chd from his house Vill. Makhan Majra for
purchasing vegetables. When he crossed the Railway line after
following kachcha Rasta Vill. Makhan Majra, back-side Sunder Nagar
and going towards Vikas Nagar, in the meantime three boys age about
25-26 yrs came near pulia in forest. Two of them have covered their
faces. When he crossed those boys, they caught him and started
robbing him, when he resist, one of them attacked upon him with
knife. Due to this he sustained multiple injuries. They robbed cash Rs
2,000/- and his Chinese mobile phone from him and fled away from
there. He came back and some person call the PCR. PCR vehicle took
him hospital for treatment. On his statement a Case FIR No. 338 Dt.
27.11.18 u/s 397, 34 IPC PS Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh was registered.
During the course of investigation, search of jungle was
carried out and previous criminals rounded up. On 29.11.18 accused
Rahul Kumar S/o Raja Ram R/o House no 2653 Vikash Nagar Mauli
Jagran Chandigarh, Jai Surya @ Ajay S/o Jai Ram R/o Village Mauli
Jagran Chandigarh and Subodh S/o Upender Mahto R/o House no 1409
Vikash Nagar Mauli Jagran Chandigarh was arrested and one juvenile
Age-17 yrs. has been apprehended as per the provision of JJ Act on
the identification of an eye witness. The knife used for stabbing was
recovered from their possession.
47. 22.01.2019 One arrested under NDPS
Today a police party of police station Mauli Jagran headed by SI
Kehar Singh was on patrolling near Nirankari Satsang Mauli Jagran
Chd and apprehanded one person named Deepak s/o Kallu r/o Village
Biralsi Distt. Muzaffar UP age 22 yrs and recovered 38 gm. Heroin
from his possession. A Case FIR No 20 dated 22.01.2019 u/s 21 NDPS
Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran against him.
Accused Deepak is a History-sheeter of Police Station Charthawal
Distt. Muzaffar Nagar as ten cases registered against him as
confirmed from SHO PS Charthawal. The cases of Arms act, robbery,
attempt to murder are registered against him. He will be produced
before the court tomorrow.
48. 29.03.2019 Snatching & Dacoity Cases Solved
On 29.03.19 the police party of police station Mauli Jagran achieve
the success by arresting the gang of Docaits and Snatchers and crack
the Docaity and snatching case by apprehending 6 juveniles and 2
accused persons namely Aftab S/o Akhtar R/o H. No 361, Vill-Mauli
Jagran Age -18 ½ yrs. and Sagar S/o Rashpal R/o H. No 282, Vill-Mauli
Jagran Age-18 yrs. in case FIR No. 53 dated 29.03.19 U/S 395 IPC PS
Mauli Jagran Chandigarh and FIR No. 48 dated 22.03.19 U/S
379,356,34 IPC PS Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. The robbed property
involved in the crime was recovered from their possession by the
police. The brief facts of the case FIR No. 53/2019 are that on
27.03.19 complainant Mr. Kapil Dev Sharma S/o Nirmal Sharma R/o #
353, Vill. Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh Age-23 yrs. who was working as
Pool Table repairer went to Shimla for repair work by bus and retuned
back in the intervening night of 27/28.03.19 at about 1:30 AM. When
he going to his house by feet along with his bag and reached near Holy
Heart School, Vill. Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh at about 1:40 AM,
suddenly four boys came there and caught him. He somehow managed
to escape from their clutches and ran towards his home. In the mean
time, four another boys came out from the another street and caught
him again. They were addressing each other with the names of Aftab,
Sagar, Vishal, Akash Suraj etc. and Sagar put knife on his neck and
asked to give his purse and other started searching his pocket and
bag. They took out his purse containing Rs. 5500/- and Aadhar card
from his bag and fled away from the spot.
During the interrogation of the above said accused persons,
two juveniles and two accused persons namely Aftab S/o Akhtar R/o
H. No 361, Vill-Mauli Jagran Age -18 ½ yrs. and Sagar S/o Rashpal R/o
H. No 282, Vill-Mauli Jagran Age-18 yrs. also confessed that they
were also involved in snatching case i.e FIR No. 48/2019 in which one
mobile phone and Cash Rs. 200/- was snatched that was also recovered
from their possession. 49. 05.04.2019 Action against Gambling/Satta
A special campaign to arrest the gamblers has been started in
the area of PS Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Total 7 gamblers under
Gambling Act have been arrested in three cases within two days i.e
4.4.19 & 5.4.19 and total amount of Rs. 16750/- was recovered from
their possession with the sincere efforts of the police officials of PS
Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. 50. 18.04.2019 Theft cases solved
On 18.04.19 the police party of police station Mauli Jagran achieve the
success by arresting a person namely Komila S/o Sewa Ram R/o #
2226, Shashtri Nagar, Near Durga Mata Mandir, Sector 26
Chandigarh Age-19 yrs from near Service Station, Vill. Mauli Jagran,
Chandigarh and recovered one stolen Activa with fake number plate
No. CH01AM-2381. A case FIR No. 74 dt. 18.04.19 U/S 473,411 IPC
PS Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh was registered in this regard. Further,
during the interrogation of the accused, he confessed that he along
with other associate also stolen two mobile phones make ‘Apple’ from a
house in Sector-27, Chandigarh on 17.04.19. Both mobile phones
recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 95
dated 17.04.19 U/S 380 IPC has already been found registered in PS-
26, Chandigarh.
51. 07.05.2019 Checking Exercise in view of Genearl Election-2019
Keeping in view the significance and sensitivity of election
time, local police along with law and order agencies are taking up
various exercises of area dominance, surprise checks, Flag March etc.
These exercises are deterrent in nature, create fear in minds of
miscreants and inculcate confidence in general public. One such
exercise was taken up on 7.5.2019 where search operation has been
conducted in area of Mauli Jagran i.e Mauli Complex, Charan Singh
Colony, Vikas Nagar and Vill. Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. More than 40
Police officials including one section of CAPF verified 54 persons and
issued 21 challans to the violators & 8 vehicles were impounded.
Further, during the Flag March SHO PS-Mauli Jagran has also
conducted a drug awareness camp in the area where 30/40 persons
attended the camp and they were educated about the bad effect of
the drug. Such exercises maintain the element of secrecy and are
taken up almost on daily basis at different places. This strategy has
given visible results in keeping a check on street crimes.
52. 12.05.2019 E-rickshaw theft cases solved
On the intervening night of 11/12.5.19 the police party of police
station Mauli Jagran achieved success by arresting the gang of e-
rickshaw thieves and crack the theft cases of e-Rickshaws by
arresting below mentioned 03 accused persons :-

3. Sunil Kumar S/o Murari Lal R/o H.NO.49, Gate No.3, Near
Baba Balak Nath Mandir, Vill Kharak Mangoli, Distt. PKL HR
Age-25 yrs.
With the arrest of above mentioned accused persons, 02
below mentioned theft cases of PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh, 01 theft
case of PS-IT Park and 02 theft cases of Panchkula HR have been
solved and 06 e-Rickshaws, 01 Auto Rickshaw and 24 Batteries of
e-rickshaws are also recovered from their possession.

During the course of investigation, they revealed the modus operandi
of the thefts that 2 members of the Gang used to steal away the e-
Rickshaws from different locations of tricity and then they called the
third person namely Sunil Kumar with Auto Rickshaw to take away the
batteries from e-Rickshaws. Later on, they abandoned the e-rickshaws
somewhere and sold out the batteries to the scrap dealers in
Manimajra, Chandigarh. From their arrest, 24 cases of e-rickshaw
thefts are solved in which only 05 were reported. Some more stolen
properties are expected to be recovered. 53. 13.05.2019 On the intervening night of 11/12.5.19 the police party of police
station Mauli Jagran achieved success by arresting the gang of e-
rickshaw thieves and crack the theft cases of e-Rickshaws by
arresting 03 accused persons
With the arrest of above accused persons, 02 below mentioned theft
cases of PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh, 01 theft case of PS-IT Park
and 02 theft cases of Panchkula HR have been solved and 06 e-
Rickshaws, 01 Auto Rickshaw and 24 Batteries of e-rickshaws are
also recovered from their possession.

54. 27.06.2019 Vehicle theft cases solved by PS On 26.6.19, a Case FIR No 110/2019 u/s 379 IPC was
registered on the complaint of Sh. Sandeep Kumar S/o Itwari
Lal R/o # 321, C.S.Colony, MJ, Chandigarh Age-34 yrs regarding
theft of his Motor/Cycle No. CH01AX-6523. On 27.6.19 secret information was received in Police
station Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh that two persons were going
towards Panchkula on the stolen Motor Cycle. On this
information, a special team headed by SI Rohitash Kumar was
constituted and a naka was laid near Raipur Kalan, Chandigarh
and two persons namely Balwinder Singh @ Golu @ Tom S/o
Pawan Kumar R/o VPO Mankain, Distt. Panchkula (HR). Age 19
Yrs and Sharik S/o Bunda R/o H. No. 659/1, Chakki Wali Gali,
Dera Sahab, Mani Majra Chd Age 23 Yrs have been arrested in
the above said case with stolen Motor Cycle CH01AX-6523. With the arrest of above mentioned accused persons
Mauli Jagran police station achieved a major success by
recovery of 05 M/cycles & 02 Activa scooters. The detail of

55. 31.08.2019 RAPE ACCUSED HELD
On 31.08.19 a police party from Delhi Police along with victim with
Zero FIR came to Police Station. On the said Zero FIR a case FIR No.
158 dated 31.08.19 U/S 376 IPC PS Mauli Jagran has been registered.
The brief facts of the case are that complainant XX stated in her
complaint that she is residing with her grand parents at Delhi. He
came into contact with one Ajay on facebook on 27.07.19. Thereafter
he came to Delhi to meet her and took her to Chandigarh on 22.08.19
with the promise to marry her. On the same day he made physical
relation with her. Later on, she was sent to Delhi and he refused to
marry with her. On this, the above FIR has been registered and on the
identification of the victim girl, accused Ajay S/o Mukesh R/o #
2241, Mauli Complex, Chandigarh Age-21 yrs has been arrested within
03 hours of the registration of FIR.
56. 31.08.2019 ONE HELD FOR ROBBERY
Today i.e 31.08.19 a case FIR No. 157 dated 31.08.19 U/S 392,411 IPC
PS Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh has been registered. The brief facts of
the case are that complainant Shambhu Paswan stated that he is
working as domestic servant in sec-8, Panchkula. Today i.e 31.08.19 at
about 1:50 PM he was going from Panchkula to Hallo Majra L/point side
and when he reached near slip road Vikas Nagar L/Point, in the mean
time one boy on active scooter came from his right side and robbed
his mobile phone make Samsung Galaxy Pro-B after pushing him aside.
While robbing his mobile phone, he became unbalance and fell on the
road. Complainant raised the alarm and accused was caught with
the help of passersby. Accused disclosed his name as Ravi Chand S/o
Parkash Chand R/o # 123, Vikas Nagar, MJ, Chandigarh. Police was
called and he was handed over to the police along with snatched mobile
phone and Activa scooter no.CH01BR-4735. During the course of
investigation above said accused has been arrested and robbed
property recovered.
