Spring Break Art Camp (5-13 Years) Your young artist will be learning from professional artists of the Robert Garden School of Art to complete 8 masterpieces featuring land, seascapes, florals, and animals with spring themes using 5 different mediums of light and heavy acrylic, watercolor, oil pastels and charcoal. All are supplies and patient instruction are provided, bring snack and paper towels, wear old clothes. A $60 supply fee payable to instructor is due on the first day.

Spring Break Basketball Camp (6-12 Years)Join us for Basketball Break Camp! A super-fun clinic designed for players of all skills and abilities. Program time will focus on dribbling, passing, shooting, and rebounding. This is a skill-based program which utilizes drills and games to rein-force skills being taught. Camp also includes scrimmages and a tournament.

Summer Adventure Camp (6-11 years)Each week kids’ imaginations will be tested and their adventures will be endless. Explore 11 weeks of theme appropriate activities, crafts, guests, and much more! The kids will also get to cool off every week by swimming multiple times a week at our outdoor waterpark. This full day camp is entirely theme driven with a twist of field trips and guests to spark your children’s creativity. Each Friday we invite your kids to dress the part for that week’s theme in their wildest and wackiest costumes! An afternoon snack will be provided but please bring a non-refrigerated morning snack and sack lunch.Camp Payment Terms: Payment for Summer Adventure Camp must be made in the month prior to camp start date. Home On The Range (Dude Ranch)Everything is bigger in Texas and so is our first week of camp! Campers will rope, ride and lasso fun southern activities and games! On Wednesday the children will wrangle their way through a real Dude Ranch! There, they will saddle up on their own horses and explore the Wild Wild…. West of Keller! Campers will partake in one hour of silent reading each day in order to keep their minds sharp! Please be sure and pack reading materials daily. A hotdog lunch is provided, please do not forget to pack a water bottle and snack! Campers will also need their swimsuits and towels! YeeHaahhhhhh!!!

Camp Pointe-awaka (Burgers Lake)Before it gets too hot out, we will be partaking in nature walks, trips to the playground, and crafts outside! Wednesday we will take a trip to Burgers Lake Water Park where the kids will be able to participate in several water play grounds as well as slides, diving boards, and even a trapeze over the water! Campers will partake in one hour of silent reading each day in order to keep their minds sharp! Please be sure and pack reading materials daily. We’re All Aces (Mountasia Golf and Games)Throughout the week, the kids learn what it’s like to “un-plug” and enjoy games the ole Fashioned way! Oh, and did we mention the Slip N’ Slide? Campers are welcome to bring their own games from home to teach and share with our group! Stars and Stripes (Bureau of Engraving and Printing)Join us as we celebrate patriotism! As we are in an election year, we will explore what it means to run for office and all that it entails! We are happy to announce we will be hosting the Mayor of Keller as he speaks with the campers and poses for photos! We are also excited to visit with our local first responders. Your kids will learn what it means to be a good citizen and volunteer in their communities! We will take a trip downtown to check out how our nation’s Treasury Department operates and prints our currency$! Up Up and Away (C.R. Smith Museum)Join us and blast off on a fun journey among the clouds and into the stars! Students will have the chance to visit and learn from our local armed service members as well as have one-on-one training time with our Keller Police Department. Blast off and reach beyond the sky and explore the final frontier on an amazing adventure through space with our TKP Science Wiz.Campers will also investigate how robots and astronauts explore far away worlds. We will fly, ok drive, to the C.R. Smith Museum where the kids will partake in a museum scavenger hunt and interactive attractions! Nature Navigators (Perot Museum)We've invited the Perot Museum to the TKP campus in order to build our campers brains up for the next school year to come! Wonderful, interactive programs have been selected for the children to have multiple hands-on experiences as they study everything from weather to chemistry and the human body! We will also incorporate audio/visual learning materials such as Bill Nye the Science guy and Jeopardy! This educationally fun camp will have your child begging for more knowledge! Campers will partake in one hour of silent reading each day in order to keep their minds sharp! Please be sure and pack reading materials daily. Bring a water bottle, snack, swimsuit and a towel every day!

It’s a BIG World Out There (Dallas World Aquarium)This week we will explore the different parts of the camper’s interests and hobbies with fun, hands on crafts, different strategic challenges, and team building activities! Wednesday, we will head on over to the Dallas World Aquarium to hang out with our sea creature friends. Our fishy friends aren’t the only ones that get to enjoy the water, slip n’ slide and water balloons will be a daily activity this week! Campers will partake in one hour of silent reading each day in order to keep their minds sharp! Please be sure and pack reading materials daily. Don’t forget a water bottle, snack, towel and swimsuit each day!

Sports FAN-atics (TKP Sport Techs)This week we invite your kids to join us for a camp filled with nothing but sports, covering a huge variation of different sports. Each camper will practice daily with certified TKP coaches in Martial Arts, Soccer, Basketball and Archery. Beginners will have a chance to try out a sport that they may have never tried. There will be a sport here for every kid to enjoy! This is a very extensively active camp and the campers will have 2+ hours of organized practices each day. Campers will partake in one hour of silent reading each day in order to keep their minds sharp! Please be sure and pack reading materials daily. Athletic wear is required in the mornings and cleats and shin guards are recommended. Pack casual clothing, swimsuit, towel, snack and water bottle for the afternoon.

Once Upon a Time (Medieval Times)We will be taking the kids on a magical renaissance journey! These enchanted activities will include archery, creating their own castles, navigating through the wilderness, and many more! On Wednesday of that week we will field trip to Medieval Times to see a live show inside of the castle filled with authentic armor, real horses, and a royal feast for lunch! On Friday, we have planned our very own TKP pool jousting tournament but don’t forget to pack your swimsuit and towel each day! The campers will also need their water bottles and snack each day!

Community Care Week (Cowboys Stadium)This week our campers will be giving back to our community! Each day we will decorate and deliver cards to our local hospitals and nursing homes as well as visiting our elders at the Senior Center. We will also have the opportunity to assist our animal shelter and contribute to Bear Creek Park clean-up! All of their efforts can be counted towards school volunteer hours goals! After all of our hard work, on Wednesday, we will take a trip to the stadium that holds Americas Team, the Dallas Cowboys! Don’t forget your books for silent reading time as well as a swimsuit and towel for daily swimming! Each camper will also need to bring a snack and water bottle!

Summer Camp Swim Lesson The Keller Pointe offers swim lessons, through the Nationally recognized Jeff Ellis Swim program. All aquatic and safety skills are taught in a logical progression by certified swim instructors. The objective is to teach people to swim and to be safe in, on and around the water. Participants registering for the three day swim lessons must have on their Camp Liability Waiver under “authorized for pick up -TKP Swim Instructor.”

During the summer, swim lessons are offered in weekly increments for Summer Camp participants only.

Volleyball Camp (8-14 years)This Volleyball camp includes all skills and will excite players about the fun competition of volleyball. Fundamental skills including serving, passing, setting, and hitting. Skills based drills, with 3 vs. 3 and 6 vs. 6 drills, will be used to apply these skills at a quick pace. Players have the opportunity to practice their skills in game situations during game scrimmages and get ready for their season.

Elementary Basketball Camp (5-12 years)A super-fun clinic designed for players of all ages, skills and abilities. This class is all about fundamentals and basics. Class includes in depth instruction of ball handling (1 and 2 ball), passing, shooting and footwork. Skills are taught in a fun, but intense class to develop confidence, balance and coordination. This training program is intense but very fun for young athletes who want to learn more about basketball. This is a skill-based program which utilizes drills and games to reinforce skills being taught. Part of each class time will used for game scrimmages.

Flag Football Tech (5-12 years)This camp has groups for ages 5-7 and 8-12. This is a combination of QB skills clinic and a traditional flag football program. This clinic teaches players the basics and more about the game of football. Players will memorize plays, routes and become familiar with football formations and basics. Adventure In Art Camp (5-13 years)Finally an art camp where kids learn creative thinking instead of just crafts! In this 4-day session your young artists will complete 8 amazing works of art featuring animals, florals, landscapes and seascape you’ll be proud to frame and display. Perspective drawing with charcoal and oil pastels, painting with light acrylics, watercolors and heavy acrylics will be explained and explored by Certified Robert Garden School of Art Instructors. All art supplies are furnished, bring paper towels, snack and wear old t-shirt. A $60 supply fee payable to instructor is due on the first day.

Fashion Diva (6-12 years)Spend the week as a fashion diva! Create your own fashion accessories. Projects include glitzy flower hair clips, bottle cap necklaces, bead-embellished scarves, tie-dye bandana, a sun visor and a jewelry box. There is a $35 supply fee due to the instructor on the first day of class.

Junk Yard Robots (5-12 years)In the morning we will use the power of science to build a Bristle Bot that's up to our Battle Arena and Race Course standards. Meet the electro-powered Robo Bug. Explore alternative energy and save the Earth with our Green Energy Station. After lunch create your own Ride! Explore Newton's Laws and wire up your Wacky Wild Wheels. Get zapped with our shockingly fun Nerve Tester. We will build NASA's original robot hand. Just for fun, campers will enter the Potions Academy and mix up some gooey science with erupting foam monsters, crystal rainbows and more. AND at the end of camp your projects including the robots go home with you to continue the experimentation and fun.

Lego Camp (8-12 years)Using LEGO's Simple and Motorized Mechanisms Set, campers will build and explore machines and mechanisms, investigate motorized machines, and study gearing mechanisms with this core brick set. Campers will also investigate the principles of simple machines, mechanisms, and structures; experiment with balanced and unbalanced forces and friction; measure distance, time, speed, and weight; and much more.

Amusement Park Science (5-12 years)Ever want to design your own amusement park? In the morning, master circuits & motors as you create the rides of your dreams. Youth Volleyball League (8-14 years)This recreation league is ideal if you are just learning the game of volleyball, or need to perfect your skills as you get ready to try out for your local school team. Fun and learning are emphasized over competition in this league. Participants will be split into two age groups; 8-10 & 11-14. Teams will have one practice a week and games will be played on Saturdays. Participants who want their child to “play up” (older age division) must coach. VOLUNTEER COACHES ARE NEEDED FOR EACH TEAM. Lifeguard Course (Ages 15+)The purpose of the American Red Cross Waterpark Lifeguarding Course is to provide entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies. This course will also provide the necessary training in order to operate an AED and Oxygen equipment. PARTICIPANTS MUST ATTEND ALL CLASS SESSIONS. Registration deadline is the Wednesday before class starts.

Prerequisites:

1. Must be 15 years of age on or before the final scheduled class date.2. Swim 300 yards continuously demonstrating breath control and rhythmic breathing. Candidates may swim using the front

crawl, breaststroke, or a combination of both. Swim Goggles may be used. 3. Candidates must be able to tread water for 2 minutes using only their legs.4. Complete the following timed event within I minute and 40 seconds.

a. Starting in the water, swim 20 yards. Face may be in or out of the water. Swim goggles may not be used.b. Surface dive, feet first or head first, to a depth of 7 to 10 feet to retrieve a 10 pound object. c. Return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point with both hands holding the object and keeping the face near the surface so that they are able to take a breath. Candidates should not swim the distance under water. Exit the water without use of a ladder or steps.

Group Swim LessonsOur swimming program follows the nationally recognized Jeff Ellis Swim Program. Our goal is to provide a quality program where participants can build confidence and skills in the water to become lifelong swimmers.

Level 1: Beginner - The Beginner class builds on elementary water skills previously learned and teaches students the skills needed to complete a 25-yard swim for each of the following: Elementary Backstroke, Front Crawl, and Backstroke. All elementary water skills are reinforced so that they become second nature to the students. All water safety rules are discussed as well.Level 2: Advanced Beginner - The Advanced Beginner class teaches students how to master stroke development and requires them to complete 50-yard swims of Elementary Backstroke and basic Backstroke. Students are also asked to complete 25-yard swims of the Breaststroke and Front Crawl with rhythmic breathing. We introduce Scissor Kick and Sidestroke at this swim level too.Level 3: Intermediate - The Intermediate class strengthens students' coordination of key strokes. They are asked to complete 50 yards of Front Crawl with rhythmic breathing, 75 yards of Backstroke, 50 yards of Breaststroke, 50 yards of Sidestroke and 75 yards of Elementary Backstroke. We introduce the Sidestroke, Butterfly and the act of treading water at this level.Level 4: Advanced - The Advanced class polishes strokes so students swim with more ease, power and smoothness over greater distances. At this level, swimmers should be able to complete 100 yards of Front Crawl with Rhythmical Breathing, 100 yards of Backstroke, 100 yards of Breaststroke, 100 yards of Sidestroke, 100 yards of Elementary Backstroke and three minutes of treading water.

Water Explorations (Ages 6-36 Months)This class is an introduction to water safety and basic water skills for both parent and child. The Water Exploration class is meant to allow the child to explore the water in a supervised and fun environment with the guidance of the instructor and parent.

Preschool (Ages 3-5 Years)The purpose of this class is to help students feel comfortable in the water. Students continue to learn elementary water skills and safety tips that will stay with them throughout all swim lesson levels.  Sophie the Safety Seal’s WaterSmart Rules are reinforced for increased aquatic safety.

Private Swim LessonsOur private swim lessons follow the nationally recognized Jeff Ellis Swim Program and are taught by certified instructors. Private lessons give participants the skills and techniques to become lifelong swimmers.

Where to RegisterParticipants may register for all classes, activities, programs, and events in person at The Keller Pointe during operational hours, over the phone, or online at www.thekellerpointe.com.

Class LocationsThe location for all classes, activities, programs, and events are at The Keller Pointe unless otherwise noted.

Registration InformationParticipants are encouraged to register for classes as early as possible. Registration deadline is Friday before class begins (unless otherwise noted). Registrations are on a first come first serve basis. *minimum age is determined by the first day of the selected course.

Class Makeup PolicyIf it is necessary to cancel a class because of inclement weather, The Keller Pointe Customer Service staff will notify all participants at least one hour before class is scheduled to begin when possible. You may call The Keller Pointe at 817.743.4FUN. If a swim lesson is cancelled, The Keller Pointe aquatic staff will contact you within 24 hours to reschedule. Any group class missed will not be made up.

Class Refund or Transfer PolicyWhen a class is cancelled due to low enrollment or other circumstances, you will be offered a transfer to another class or receive a full refund. Participant initiated refunds and transfers will only be granted when a participant: a) submits a transfer or refund request at least 5 business days prior to the starting date of the course; b) moves from the area and notifies The Keller Pointe at least 5 business days prior to the course start date; or c) becomes ill, in which case a doctor’s statement must be presented upon request. If a refund/transfer is not requested to be applied to Keller Pointe merchandise or program within 90 days, the refund/transfer will be forfeited.

Gift CardsThe Pointe Gift Cards may be purchased for any amount, and may be used toward program

registration, membership, concessions, personal training, guest admissions, rentals and Pointe merchandise. Gift Cards are available at the Customer Service Desk.

Safety ProcedureIn order to keep our facility safe, any patron possessing a weapon, or object determined by The Keller Pointe staff to pose a potential threat to persons or property, will be denied admission and/or required to leave the premises without refund. The Keller Pointe staff may at any point contact the Keller Police Department to assist in the enforcement of this procedure.

Aquatic TrainingPlease be advised that The Keller Pointe lifeguards take part in active training during operating hours. In the event that there is a training exercise, the aquatic staff will notify all patrons.

Inclement Weather PolicyLightning poses a serious risk of injury in our aquatic facilities, including the indoor facilities. Due to the seriousness of this issue, the following inclement weather policy applies for all aquatic facilities: When lightning occurs, the pools will be closed. If the lightning and inclement weather continues for more than thirty minutes, the pools will remain closed and The Keller Pointe staff will attempt to reopen the pools later in the day. This policy is in effect until one hour prior to the facility’s official closing time.

A Word To Parents...The Keller Pointe staff strives to maintain the highest standards in emergency training. Our goal is to provide patrons with a safe and clean atmosphere in which families can enjoy themselves in a recreational environment. The purpose of the staff is not to supervise your child, but to prevent accidents from happening. Therefore, parents are expected to closely supervise their children and assist in enforcing the facility’s policies for the safety and enjoyment of all patrons. All children, ages nine years and under, must be accompanied and supervised at all times by a paying adult (at least 16 years or older)

Photography PolicyPhotographs are occasionally taken of participants and are used to promote our City Parks and Recreation Programs. If you prefer that you or your child not be photographed, please notify the photographer.

ContractsContracts for all facility rentals and parties must be completed and signed at time of booking along with payment.

AvailabilityBear Creek Rooms are available for rental from 5:00 am to 1:00 am. (Note: The building closes at 10:00 pm Monday through Thursday, 9:00 pm Friday, 8:00 pm Saturday, and 6:00 pm Sunday after which extended hour fees will apply). The contract, deposit and half the rental must be paid at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due thirty (30) days prior to the rental.

DepositsA deposit of $100 is required on facility rentals, along with the completion of The Keller Pointe Facility Reservation contract and payment. The deposit will be refunded if the area used has been left in good order and all conditions of the contract have been met. An additional $150 deposit for alcohol consumption and/or teenage event is required, along with the cost and scheduling of a Keller police officer on site. All rentals are a minimum of two hours.

Extended Hours FeeAn extended hours fee of $15.00 per hour will apply to all facility rentals extending past the regular building operating hours.

Cancellation Policy for All Facility Rentals A written cancellation notice signed by the applicant must be received at least thirty (30) days prior to the scheduled event in order for user to receive a full refund minus a $25 service charge. A forfeiture of the reservation fee will result if a user fails to provide a 30 day written

Proof of ResidencyIn order to confirm City of Keller residency for a Pointe membership, present your driver’s license and complete a membership application. A Customer Service Representative will assist with a biometric registration and payment. A membership will not be issued without a valid driver’s license. Proof of residency is also required at time of renewal. For taxing jurisdictions visit www.tad.org.

CancellationFor those individuals choosing the monthly membership option, a 30-day written notice is required to discontinue the monthly membership. If the notice is received on or after the 15th of the month, the membership will be canceled at the end of the following month. The $60 service fee is non-refundable. A service fee of $20 per returned payment may apply.

Inclement Weather PolicyWhen lightening occurs, the indoor & outdoor pools will be closed. If we are unable to reopen after forty minutes, the pool(s) will remain closed and attempt to reopen later in the day. This policy is in effect until one hour prior to official closing time.

Rain Check PolicyIn the event of aquatic facility operation suspension due to inclement weather or maintenance, guest(s) may exchange their ticket for a rain check only if guest(s) have been present at the facility for less than two hours. Management reserves the right to suspend operation and/or close the facility at any time and initiate the rain check policy. If the indoor pool is able to stay open while the outdoor pool is closed, the rain check policy will not apply.

Stay-n-PlayChildren should enjoy their experience at The Pointe as much as their parents! Prior to working out or taking a class, check in at the Customer Service Desk, then take your children into the Stay ’N Play room where they can enjoy a wide variety of entertainment. Children, ages six months through nine years, may stay for a maximum of two hours at a cost of $2 per visit, per child. Punch passes are also available to purchase for $30, good for 20 visits. Parents/guardians may not leave the building or outdoor pool while their child/children are in Stay-n-Play. For policies, please inquire at the Customer Service Desk.Stay n Play packages are non-refundable, but transferable.

Definition of a FamilyA family constitutes at least one, no more than two, adult heads of household and his/her dependents that are 23 years of age or younger in school or living at home. It also includes persons with special needs living as a single housekeeping unit at the same address.

Medical FreezeIn the event of a medical condition that prevents you from utilizing The Pointe, members may freeze their annual membership for $10/month by providing a doctor’s statement. Once a doctor’s release is obtained to return to the facility, the membership will be reactivated for the length of time it was frozen. If a patron has a family membership and elects to freeze the membership, the entire family will be frozen. Medical freezes must take place within 30 days of the medical condition arising. Expired memberships are not eligible for medical freeze. We also offer other account freezes. See our Customer Service desk for eligibility requirements.

Annual Fee - Non-refundable For individuals choosing to purchase an annual membership by paying for one year in full, the membership is non-refundable with the exception of the 30-day Opt Out Period.

30-day Opt Out PeriodAll annual members have 30 days from the date of purchase to request an annual fee refund. One month, at the monthly rate, and a $60.00 service charge will be deducted from the annual fee refund amount. After 30 days, no refund is available.

Annual Fee Transfers Individual or family annual members may transfer their membership to another individual or family. If the individual or family receiving the annual membership is a non-resident, the receiving party will be required to pay the difference between the resident annual membership fee and the non-resident annual fee. If a non-resident annual member is transferring their annual membership to a resident of the City of Keller, there is no refund for the price difference.
