Podar International CIE provides an excellent educational environment with the innovative

technique of imparting the education with the help of immense support of the teachers as well as

the massive strength of improvising the same by indulging the skill of the students. The path of

extracting the best output from the teachers and the students is not only concentrated dealing

with the texts but also observed as the bright skilled work in other respective areas as well that

concerns with several activities in the school like celebration of different festivals enthusiastically,

being extrovert to share the views associated with the qualitative writing in aspects like articles,

using the painting brush to give an artistic touch to create an impact of glamour. The inculcation of

such work is brought into light through the source of our school magazine where the dignified

work of the teachers and students are the limelight.

The thrust of our magazine – as should be the endeavour of all competent persons – is a collection

of stories, poems, drawings and some facts. Here is where we break from the crowd in order to

offer a stimulating and useful reading experience. When the idea of the magazine came first there

was a lot of enthusiasm among all. In this technological world this idea was very well received.

Going through all the articles for the magazine was a pleasurable experience for us. It was a proud

moment for us when we saw a storehouse of talent in our students.

The experience of the hidden talents paved the path of smooth journey to a consequent path of

reading, writing along with other activities creating a sense of responsibility to visualise the

teacher-student involvement in doing the work.

GREETINGS FROM THE DIRECTOR

Greetings from Podar International School, CIE Kalyan.

It gives me immense pleasure to have the privilege of extending my

message to the people, parents, teachers, children and all the

community for the 1st issue of The Harvest a bi-annual

E-magazine exclusively for CIE Kalyan students.

The intension behind for this e–version is to conserve the use of paper, i.e to save

trees for our next generation and also to reach out to all well wishers, to the extent

possible without missing anyone.

This magazine showcases not only the literary works of PODAR community but also

gives you a glimpse of the life in the school. Every page of this magazine represents

our community which contributes tremendously to the culture and the educational

value of PIS CIE KALYAN and stand tall everywhere.

I like to congratulate all my students who constantly submit, participate, engage and

encourage us to take the next step. We have been inspired by our former Principal

Mr. C.M. Thakur on his message (Pg 5 of School Diary 2014-15 : this is what makes

us different from other schools in the vicinity. Our teachers don’t say “hand it in”,

they say “publish it”.)

Also congratulate the hardship put by my dear teachers for making all tasks

successful with passion & dedication. Editorial Team deserves a loud round of

applause.

Big thanks to my Director, Dr (Mrs) Vandana Lulla for constant motivating us for

good deed as well as key note.

We expect your valued critical input towards the magazine.

Good wishes and regards,

Mr. Sanjay Nandi

I wrote my name in the sky but,

The clouds rubbed it off.

I wrote my name in the wall but,

The rain rubbed it off.

I wrote my name in my heart but,

The blood rubbed it off.

I wrote my name in a card

And gave it to my mom

Because I know now, they are in safe hands.
