DHA—Supplementation in pregnant and lactating mothers is correlated with positive cognitive development and benets in early childhood. Some research suggests that dietary DHA intake may be supportive of gestational duration.

Lutein and zeaxanthin—Maternal supplementation plays a role in fetal visual health and development.

L-carnitine—The amino acid L-carnitine is required for the breakdown of fats and glucose into energy. Additionally, L-carnitine plays a role in free fatty acid metabolism and metabolic health.
