PLöRK, the leader's tool
For the things we have to learn before we can do them, we learn by doing them.Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young.Henry Ford (1863-1947) American industrialist.
In the end we retain from our studies only that which we practically apply.Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe (1749-1832) German poet, novelist and dramatist.

Definitions
SIMPLE: repeating patterns, and consistent events. Clear root cause, Obvious relationships between all, clear existing answer, Known knowledge, Factual management
CHAOTIC: great turbulence, no clear cause and effect, so no good answer research, unknown, many decisions to make, no time to think, great tensions, pattern based leadership
COMPLEX: flow and unpredictability, no exact answers but instructive emerging models, no knowing the unknown, a lot of ideas in competition, a need for creative and innovative approach, model based leadership
COMPLICATED: expert diagnosis required, relationship of cause and effect detectable but not immediately obvious to everyone, just more than one answer possible, factual management

Roles!
All attendees are gamers, including the facilitator.
Like in science, observers are tainting the development flow.
Only the facilitator drives the team from loops to loops in the PLöRK process without harming the team dynamic.
The only constraints is the time-boxing of the loops.
