CLAUDE EARL FOX, MD, MPH Dr. Claude Earl Fox is Professor Emeritus at the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami and founding director of the Florida Public Health Institute. He also served as founding Chair of the Florida Oral Health Coalition. Prior to this, he was a Professor at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and founding director of the Johns Hopkins Urban Health Institute. He also served in the federal Department of Health and Human Services as Director of the U.S. Public Health Service Regional Office in Philadelphia, Deputy Assistant Secretary of

Health in Washington, D.C. and as Administrator of the Health Resources and Services Administration, where he made oral health a top priority for his agency. From 1986 to 1992, Dr. Fox was the State Health Officer for the Alabama Department of Public Health. He is a Fellow in the American College of Preventive Medicine, an Honorary Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics and in addition to his medical degree, has a Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of North Carolina.

MARY WAKEFIELD, PhD, RN

Administrator Health Resources and Services Administration U.S. Department of Health and Human Services

Mary Wakefield, Ph.D., R.N., was named administrator of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) by President Barack Obama on February 20, 2009. HRSA is an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

HRSA works to fill in the health care gaps for people who are outside the economic and medical mainstream. The agency uses its $8.1 billion annual budget (FY 2013) to expand access to quality health care in partnership with health care providers and health professions training programs.

Dr. Wakefield joined HRSA from the University of North Dakota (UND), where she was associate dean for rural health at the School of Medicine and Health Sciences.

“As a nurse, a Ph.D., and a leading rural health care advocate, Mary Wakefield brings expertise that will be instrumental in expanding and improving services for those who are currently uninsured or underserved,” President Obama said in announcing her appointment. “Under her leadership, we will be able to expand and improve the care provided and address severe provider shortages across the country.”

Dr. Wakefield brings experience on Capitol Hill to her post at HRSA. In the 1990s, she served as chief of staff to two North Dakota senators: Kent Conrad (D) and Quentin Burdick (D).

She also has served as director of the Center for Health Policy, Research and Ethics at George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., and worked on-site as a consultant to the World Health Organization's Global Programme on AIDS in Geneva, Switzerland.

Dr. Wakefield is a fellow in the American Academy of Nursing and a member of the Institute of Medicine (IOM). She served on the IOM committee that produced the landmark reports To Err is Human and Crossing the Quality Chasm. She also co-chaired the IOM committee that produced the report Health Professions Education and chaired the committee that produced the report Quality through Collaboration: Health Care in Rural America.

In addition, Dr. Wakefield has served on the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission, as chair of the National Advisory Council for the Agency for Healthcare Research and

Quality, as a member of President Clinton's Advisory Commission on Consumer Protection and Quality in the Health Care Industry, and as a member of the National Advisory Committee to HRSA's Office of Rural Health Policy.

In 2013, she was named as one of the top 25 women in health care by Modern Healthcare.

Dr. Wakefield is a native of Devils Lake, North Dakota. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Mary in Bismarck and master's and doctoral degrees in nursing from the University of Texas at Austin.

PLENARY SESSION SPEAKERS Tuesday, August 19

GARY M. WILTZ, MD Dr. Gary M. Wiltz, a board certified internist, has been employed by Teche Action Clinic (TAC) for over 30 years. He began his medical career with TAC by serving as medical director from 1982 to 2003 and was appointed CEO in 2003. He is a graduate of Tulane Medical School. In fulfillment of his National Health Service Corps obligation, Dr. Wiltz was invited to join Teche Action Clinic in 1982. During his tenure with Teche, the organization has grown from 2 locations to 10 locations and has increased services. Dr. Wiltz has served on many local, state, and national healthcare committees, including two Governor’s Healthcare

Reform projects. He has been the LPCA Clinical Director and was appointed to the Board of Trustees of A. T. Still School of Osteopathic Medicine. He has served as secretary, treasurer and most recently, the Chair of The National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC). NACHC is an organization that represents 8,500 clinics and over 23,000,000 people nation-wide. As a voice for the ‘voiceless’, Dr. Wiltz is true to his advocacy of promoting quality health care for all, and has (on more than one occasion) given testimony before Congress. He has also been a guest on C-SPAN discussing health care issues. He has been featured on the Discovery Health Channel’s production of Bayou Medicine and has been featured and/or cited in USA TODAY, NPR and was a panelist on a Health Care Summit at the White House – discussing health care reform. He has also had the honor of introducing the Vice-President of the United States of America at the March 2014 NACHC Policies & Issues Forum held in Washington D.C. Dr. Wiltz has been married to his wife, Diane for 38 years and together they are the proud parents of 2 children and 2 grandchildren.

WILLIAM BAILEY, DDS, MPH William Bailey, DDS, MPH is the inaugural Delta Dental of Colorado Endowed Chair in Early Childhood Caries Prevention at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. In this capacity he helps set public health policies and practices, provides advocacy for children’s health issues, works with local foundations to design projects that support local communities, teaches dental and graduate students, and performs scholarly activity that serves to promote children’s health and results in the prevention of early childhood caries. Over a 32-year career in the U.S. Public Health Service, (USPHS) Dr. Bailey served in assignments with the National Health Service Corps, Federal Bureau of Prisons, Indian Health Services and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. From 2010-2014 he served as

the Chief Dental Officer for the USPHS at the rank of Rear Admiral. Dr. Bailey has received numerous awards including the USPHS Meritorious Service Medal, Jack D. Robertson Award and the Surgeon General’s Exemplary Service Award. Other awards include the American Dental Association President’s Award, Secretary’s Award for Distinguished Service, and Association for State and Territorial Dental Directors President’s Award. Dr. Bailey holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences from San Diego State University, a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Colorado, and a Master’s Degree in Public Health in Health Policy and Administration from the University of North Carolina.

JUDITH E. N. ALBINO, PH.D. Dr. Albino, currently Professor and Associate Dean for Strategic Planning and Development at the Colorado School of Public Health, has served as president of two higher education systems - the University of Colorado, and Alliant International University, a private nonprofit university. Her higher education experience also includes several roles at the dean and vice-president levels, and she has spent more than 30 years as a faculty member in schools of dentistry and medicine, as well as in psychology. She received her baccalaureate and doctoral degrees from the University of Texas at Austin and a Certificate in Professional Coaching from the Zicklin School of Business of Baruch College, City University of New York. Dr. Albino’s leadership has extended to community and nonprofit groups, and to service on corporate and civic boards. She has been an officer and served on governance groups of numerous professional organizations, including the American Psychological Association; the Federation of Psychological, Behavioral and Cognitive Sciences; the American Association for Dental Research; the American Council on Education; and the National Collegiate Athletics Association. Dr. Albino’s research in behavioral aspects of health and disease has been supported by the NIH and has resulted in hundreds of scientific publications and presentations. She currently leads one of five NIDCR-funded disparities research centers. Dr. Albino has received numerous honors, including an honorary doctorate and a distinguished alumna award, and she recently was named the Distinguished Psychologist in Management by the Society of Psychologists in Management. At AAL, she works

extensively in the areas of leadership training, planning and evaluation, and board development. Her executive coaching practice includes career coaching in higher education, and team development and leadership, as well as coaching for high potential executives.

DANIELLE APOSTOLON As Project Manager of Technical Assistance, Safety Net Solutions, Ms. Apostolon is the Technical Assistance Project Manager for Safety Net Solutions (SNS). She oversees the data collection and analysis process, and develops findings, recommendations and enhancement plans for safety net dental programs. During the past six years, Ms. Apostolon has provided support during the implementation phase of the practice enhancement process by providing sample policies, individualized financial/productivity goals, business plans, job descriptions, and coaching and motivation to over 300 safety net dental programs in 28 states. Additionally, she specializes in business market analysis and environmental assessments for clinic startups and the development of tools and dashboards relative to finance and productivity. Prior to joining the Safety Net Solutions team, Ms. Apostolon worked with multiple organizations, providing fiscal support and accounting expertise, including WB Mason, Spirited Sisters, Oscar Squared and Computerized Bookkeeping, LLC. She received an associate’s degree from Massasoit Community College, and is currently completing a finance degree from Bridgewater State College.

ANN BATTRELL, MSDH Ann Battrell has served as the Executive Director of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA) since July 2005. She is the first registered dental hygienist and the first former ADHA president to serve in this position. Ms. Battrell holds a certificate and bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from Northwestern University in Chicago. She earned a master’s degree in dental hygiene from the University of Missouri—Kansas City, School of Dentistry in 2007. Ms. Battrell has held dental hygiene faculty positions at Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago and Palm Beach Community College in Palm Beach, Florida. In addition to several leadership positions at the state and national levels, Ms. Battrell served as ADHA president from 1996 to1997. Prior to joining the ADHA staff team, Ms. Battrell served as the association’s strategic planning consultant. She began her career with the association in June 2000 as manager of education. In 2004 Ann was promoted to the director of education position at ADHA. She has also served ADHA as acting director of research. As Executive Director, Battrell represents ADHA to governmental bodies, educational institutions, other related associations and corporate partners. She also oversees a host

of staff programs from membership recruitment to consumer awareness, as well as the comprehensive responsibilities for all elements of ADHA’s operation. As the largest association representing the professional interests of the more than 150,000 registered dental hygienists in the United States, ADHA operates an annual budget of more than $6 million and has approximately 40 employees.

MARSHA WILKES BEATTY, BS, MPH Marsha Beatty is an Assistant Professor of Research in the Community Dentistry Division at the Oklahoma University College of Dentistry (OUCOD). She previously served OUCOD as Sponsored Programs Coordinator and Site Co-Director for the Community Dental Health Coordinator (CDHC) Pilot Program funded by the American Dental Association. Ms. Beatty holds a Bachelor of Science degree (Medical Microbiology, Stanford University, 1977), and a Master’s of Public Health degree (University of Texas Health Sciences Center at Houston School of Public Health, 1980). Her research focus and professional areas of interest include program planning and evaluation, health disparities, health literacy, access to care and improving health outcomes for underserved populations.

DORI BINGHAM

As Program Manager for Safety Net Solutions, Ms. Bingham assists the Executive Director in overseeing all phases of the SNS project and provides day-to-day support to the SNS team and clients. She participates actively in the practice assessment process, including data analysis, site visits and the development of findings and recommendations. She works closely with clients throughout the implementation process, providing support, coaching and help in problem solving. Ms. Bingham also coordinates other SNS technical assistance projects such as feasibility studies and new dental start-ups. For 14 years, she served as Associate Vice President for External Affairs at Morton Hospital and Medical Center in Taunton, MA. In this role, she was responsible for the hospital’s public relations, marketing, fundraising, community relations and community benefits programs.

Ms. Bingham received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Maine in Orono.

SEAN BOYNES, DMD, MS Dr. Sean G. Boynes is a Dentist Anesthesiologist who received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh and completed a three year residency in anesthesiology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He currently serves as Director of Dental Medicine at CareSouth Carolina, a Federally Qualified Health Center in Society Hill, South Carolina. He has authored approximately 60 publications relating to dentistry, public health, anesthesiology, and pharmacology. Dr. Boynes has been recognized by many organizations. The National Health Service Corps recently featured him as one of the 40 top clinicians for their 40th Anniversary Celebration. The National Children’s Oral Health Foundation lists him as a Dentist of Distinction.

JOHN CARON, DMD, MPH, FAGD Dr. Caron received his dental degree from Washington University School of Dental Medicine in 1975 and a Master’s of Public Health degree from the University of Minnesota in 1980. He spent most of his dental career in the Navy Dental Corps, including the faculty of the Navy Postgraduate Dental School and the Navy Medical Quality Institute, and served as the Navy Specialty Advisor for Public Health Dentistry. He served six years as the Chief of Dental Services for the Seattle-King County Department of Public Health. For the past 14 years, Dr. Caron has been the Chief Dental Officer for HealthPoint in Renton, Washington, and is a member of its Executive Leadership Team. He is also an adjunct faculty member of the A. T. Still School of Osteopathic Medicine Arizona and the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health.

CHRISTINE COGIL, FNP-BC, DNPc Christine Cogil is a Family Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Educator at the University of New Mexico College of Nursing in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her clinical practice with medically underserved, and often uninsured, populations in rural areas of Texas and New Mexico raised her awareness of limited oral health resources. The focus of Ms. Cogil’s doctoral study has been integration of oral health into primary care with particular attention on changing provider practices. In addition, she has incorporated oral health assessment and management in primary care into the advanced practice nursing curriculum at the University of New Mexico.

DONALD COHEN, DMD, MS, MBA Dr. Cohen trained in oral pathology at Temple University. He is Professor and Division Head of Oral Pathology at the University of Florida College of Dentistry. He is board certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and is the director of a large multi-state biopsy service. He also has a private practice limited to oral medicine at the University of Florida. He serves as the Director for Education and Continuing Education for the American Academy of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology. Dr Cohen has authored over 100 papers and book chapters in oral and maxillofacial pathology.

JAMES J. CRALL DDS, ScD Dr. James J. Crall received dental (DDS) and master’s degrees and a certificate in pediatric dentistry from the University of Iowa, and is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He was selected to be a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Dental Health Services Research Scholar at Harvard from 1984-86, and subsequently obtained masters and doctoral degrees in Health Policy and Management from the Harvard School of Public Health. In 1997, Dr. Crall was appointed as the first Dental Scholar-in-Residence at the Agency for Health Care Policy and Research (AHCPR), now the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).

Dr. Crall served as Director of the HRSA/MCHB National Oral Health Policy Center from 2000-2008, Child Advocate for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry from 1995-2014, and Project Director for the AAPD Head Start Dental Home Initiative from 2007-2010. He currently serves as Project Director for two First 5 LA-funded projects: the 21st Century Dental Homes Project and the Children’s Dental Care Project. Dr. Crall joined UCLA as Professor and Chair of Pediatric Dentistry in 2004, and was appointed Chair of the Division of Public Health & Community Dentistry in 2011.

ALLISON CUSICK, MPA, CHES Allison Cusick works as the Program Officer for Delta Dental of Colorado Foundation, where she manages state level initiatives focused on the foundation’s mission of eradicating early childhood tooth decay. The foundation’s initiatives include funding a statewide sealant program, promoting medical/dental integration by co-locating dental hygienists in medical practices, supporting high performing health centers, and building public will. Prior to joining Delta Dental of Colorado Foundation, she held positions with

Washington Dental Service Foundation, the Washington State Department of Early Learning, and Head Start, both at the regional and local levels. Ms. Cusick holds a Master’s of Public Administration degree from Seattle University, an undergraduate degree in health promotion and education from Oregon State University, and is a Certified Health Education Specialist.

MARK DOHERTY, DMD, MPH, CCHP

Dr. Mark Doherty was named the DentaQuest Institute’s Safety Net Solutions Executive Director in 2005. In this role, Dr. Doherty provides leadership and direction for Safety Net Solutions practice and quality improvement initiatives through technical assistance consulting projects and ensures that the Institute’s work is of the highest caliber. Dr. Doherty represents the DentaQuest Institute with national, regional and state audiences.

Dr. Doherty joined the DentaQuest Institute in 2005 as creator and director of the Institute’s Safety Net Solutions (SNS) program. Under his direction, the program has grown from a pilot in three Massachusetts community health centers to a national program serving over 260 safety net dental programs in over 28 states across the country. For nearly 30 years, Dr. Doherty served as the Director of Oral Health Services at Dorchester House Multi-Service Center in Boston, Massachusetts, where he built a safety net dental program that included several separate treatment sites, multiple dental providers, several specialty services, and a staff of more than 50. He currently serves as the Chief Dental Officer for the Taunton Oral Health Center and for the Commonwealth Mobile Oral Health Services, which provides portable oral health care at sites throughout Massachusetts. He has served as a consultant for multiple organizations, including the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Massachusetts Department of Youth Services, and the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He has appointments at several institutions, including the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Boston Medical Center, Boston University School of Dental Medicine, Tufts University Dental School and Lutheran Medical Center.

Dr. Doherty received a Bachelor of Arts degree from College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts and a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed a residency in general dental practice through the Massachusetts Veterans Administration Hospital and Harvard School of Dental Medicine and was awarded a Master of Public Health from Madison University.

ALLISON DOOLEY, RDH, BSHD, MSAD Allison Dooley has practiced as a Clinical Dental Hygienist for the last 20 years. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of South Dakota and her Masters of Health Science degree in Advanced Dental Therapy (ADT) from Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, Minnesota. Recently, Ms. Dooley completed her dental residency, which qualified her for Advanced Dental Therapy credentials, making her the fourth ADT professional, and first employed at a federally qualified health center, in Minnesota. She is an active member of the Dental Therapy

and Dental Hygiene Associations. Her desire is to improve access to oral health and dental care for underserved populations of the South Minneapolis community.

CHIMIRA EDWARDS, MHA, LHRM, CPC, CPCO Ms. Edwards is a graduate of the University of Florida with dual bachelor’s degrees in Health Science and Rehabilitative Services. She received her graduate degree in Health Administration from the University of South Carolina. She also received her graduate certification in healthcare risk management from the University of Florida and became a Licensed Healthcare Risk Manager in the State of Florida. Ms. Edwards is a Certified Professional Coder and a Certified Professional Compliance Officer by the American Academy of Professional Coders. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, The National Association of Healthcare Quality and the National Association of Health Services Executives. She has experience in both the hospital and ambulatory settings overseeing compliance, performance data reporting and leading change initiatives and process improvement. She has experience with accrediting and regulatory bodies such as the Joint Commission, Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, and the Office of Population Affairs.

ERIC ELMQUIST, DDS Dr. Eric Elmquist received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Creighton University School of Dentistry. Dr. Elmquist practiced with a successful group practice in Portland, Oregon before making a career change and moving back to Minnesota to pursue a career in public health. Dr. Elmquist is the Dental Director at Lake Superior Community Health Center, whose mission is improving access to quality health care for all. Dr. Elmquist’s duties include being a full time clinician and developing, managing, and coordinating the oral health programs for the clinic. Dr. Elmquist is also actively involved in the ADA, Wisconsin Oral Health Coalition, Minnesota Oral Health Coalition, Duluth Facial Clinic, and the Institute for Latin America Concern. Dr. Elmquist is currently pursuing a master’s degree in public health from the University of Minnesota.

JANE GILLETTE, DDS Dr. Jane Gillette graduated in 2002 from the University of Washington and practices dentistry in beautiful Bozeman, Montana, where she serves as Dental Director for Community Health Partners. She currently serves on the ADA's Council on Access, Prevention, and Inter-professional Relations, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry's Pediatric Oral Health Research and Policy Center. Dr. Gillette has a particular interest in assisting practitioners in implementing principles of evidence-based dentistry into daily practice, and serves as a special editor to the Journal of Evidence-based Dental Practice and as an ADA evidence-reviewer.

JAANA GOLD, DDS, PhD Dr. Jaana Gold is Associate Professor at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, Department of Community Dentistry and at the A. T. Still University, College of Graduate Health Studies-online, Department of Public Health. Dr. Gold received DDS and PhD degrees in Preventive Dentistry from the University of Oulu, Finland. She has over 22 years of experience in teaching, research and practice in dentistry. She presents at international and national conferences. She is a member of several dental organizations, and has served in leadership roles in international dental organizations. Currently, she runs a community-based WIC Oral Health Program in Gainesville, Florida.

ALICIA A. GRADY, DDS Dr. Grady shares her time between First Choice Community Health Center and the New Mexico Department of Health Special Needs Clinic. Dr. Grady received her dental degree from Creighton University School of Dentistry. She completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at the University of New Mexico Department of Dental Medicine where she later joined the faculty as an assistant professor. While at UNM, Dr. Grady was a part of the clinical implementation team for the Inter-professional Collaboration Project (EPIC). She co-developed the primary care oral health assessment tool for medical professionals. The project is ongoing and Dr. Grady remains actively involved.

JANE S. GROVER, DDS, MPH Dr. Jane Grover is the director of the Council on Access, Prevention and Inter-professional Relations (CAPIR) in the division of Government/Public Affairs at the American Dental Association. Dr. Grover previously served as the Dental Director for the Center for Family Health, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Jackson, Michigan. In addition, she is an adjunct faculty member of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and Lutheran Medical Center of New York. Dr. Grover has been active in organized dentistry, first as a Trustee of the Michigan Dental Association, and then on the ADA Strategic Planning Committee in the 1990s. She completed five years on the ADA Political Action Committee, serving from 2003-2005 as Chair. She served as Vice-President of the American Dental Association from October 2006 until October 2008. Dr. Grover received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry and her Master’s in Public Health degree from the University of Michigan, School of Public Health.

MARCIO GUELMANN, DDS Dr. Marcio Guelmann is Professor, Chair and former Residency Program Director of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Florida. His Doctor of Dental Surgery degree is from the Federal University of Paraná, Brazil, and his Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry is from the Hebrew University, Hadassah Faculty of Dental Medicine in Jerusalem, Israel. Dr. Guelmann is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and serves as Consultant and Examiner for the organization. He is the author and co-author of over 50 manuscripts and book chapters, and serves on the Editorial Board and as a reviewer for national and international pediatric dental journals.

KAREN HALL, RDH, EPDH Karen Hall received her Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene from Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) in 1985. Since then she has practiced in family practices and community health settings. She has been involved in dental hygiene education as a supervisor for clinical rotations at OHSU and Pacific University. Since 2007, Karen has utilized her expanded practice dental hygiene permit to provide hygiene care to patients with limited access to dental care in many different settings. She has been employed by Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center for six years, treating pregnant women and children in the clinics, and currently is working in a school-based health center. She is also employed by the Oregon Oral Health Coalition to provide technical assistance and training for the “First Tooth” project, training medical and dental providers throughout the state to implement early childhood caries prevention services into their practices.

VICKI HAMMOND, CPA Vicki Hammond, CPA joined the HealthPoint team in late 2010. She brings more than 25 years of diversified experience in finance and administration in private and publicly held healthcare organizations, with an emphasis in areas of long range strategic planning and financial operations. She also brings years of volunteer experience working with nonprofit organizations in resource development and planning.

SUSAN HANSON, RDH, BS Susan Hanson completed a Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene from the University of Colorado’s Dental Hygiene program in 2000. She worked in a general practice dental office for four years before starting a career in Community Health with Salud Family Health Centers. Ms. Hanson was part of the original HRSA Oral Health Pilot Program in 2005, focused on children ages 0-5 years and prenatal women. She is a Master Trainer for the Colorado Cavity Free at Three Program. She is a full-time clinical hygienist and incorporates the Salud Medical Dental integration model in the daily schedule.

MATILDE HERNANDEZ, DDS, MS, MBA Dr. Hernandez is a graduate of Central University of Venezuela, with 13 years of clinical practice experience as a dentist. She received both her Dentist’s Degree and Specialization as a Periodontist in Caracas, Venezuela. Dr. Hernandez is currently a member of the Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals Professional Relations Department and works extensively with dental and dental hygiene continuing education programs throughout the United States. She is an active member of the International Association of Dental Research, IAP, and an ADA and HDA member.

EDMOND R. HEWLETT, DDS Dr. Edmond R. Hewlett received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the UCLA School of Dentistry in 1980, completed a general practice residency program at the University of Illinois Medical Center, Chicago in 1981, and completed postgraduate

training in Prosthodontics at UCLA in 2003. Dr. Hewlett joined the UCLA School of Dentistry faculty in 1982 as a part-time instructor, and in 1987 was appointed to the full-time faculty. He currently holds the rank of Professor of Restorative Dentistry at UCLA and serves as Associate Dean for Outreach and Diversity. Dr. Hewlett’s bibliography includes numerous scientific articles and abstracts in peer-reviewed journals, as well as two book chapters. He has presented over 200 invited lectures and courses on adhesive restorative dentistry materials and techniques both nationally and internationally. He serves as a consultant to the FDA and as a Consumer Advisor for the ADA. He holds memberships in several professional societies and has been recognized for his contributions to the dental profession by induction into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society and the American College of Dentists. Since 1987, Dr. Hewlett has maintained a private practice in restorative and prosthetic dentistry at the UCLA Faculty Group Dental Practice.

IRENE HILTON, DDS, MPH Dr. Irene Hilton is NNOHA’s Dental Consultant, working on projects that develop special member resources. She is a staff dentist at the San Francisco Department of Public Health. During almost 30 years of clinical practice in the safety net, she has provided dental care to age and ethnically diverse populations. Dr. Hilton is a clinical instructor in both the School of Medicine and the School of Dentistry at UCSF. She is currently a member of the Best Practices Committee of the Association of State & Territorial Dental Directors. Dr. Hilton is a member of ADA, HDA, her local NDA chapter, and is a fellow of the American College of Dentists. She received her DDS degree from UCSF, her MPH at UC Berkeley, completed a dental public health residency at UCSF and is board certified in dental public health.

JESSE MICHAEL JAKUBOWSKI, DMD Dr. Jakubowski was born and raised in Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin for his undergraduate education. He completed his Dental and Oral Maxillofacial Surgery training at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Currently he is the Pre-doctoral Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Course Director at LECOM Dental School in Bradenton, Florida and also works in private practice at Bay Center for Jaw Surgery in St. Petersburg, Florida. Dr. Jakubowski is an active member in a variety of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental organizations and a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

EALACHELVI JANARTHANAN, DDS Originally a dental graduate from India, Dr. Janarthanan received her license from University of Colorado Denver. Before she went back to dental school in the United States, she worked as an EDDA/Regional Director for 6 practices, as a Dental Consultant to offices in the corporate and private sectors in the Colorado region, and completed missionary work in countries such as China, Sri Lanka, and Ethiopia. She currently works at Teche Action Clinic as a Dental Director. Since joining Teche Action

Clinic, she has been the highest performing provider among all sites of Teche Action Clinic, averaging 300-375 patients a month while providing comprehensive care. She also trains her staff, creating systems and policies that have transformed the dental department to a more structured and well-developed oral health department.

KELLI JOHNSON, RDH As Mobile Dental Program Manager for Suncoast Community Health Centers, Ms. Johnson has designed and implemented a mobile program that provides over 5,000 patient visits per year. The combination of 14 years’ clinical dental hygiene experience and her passion for oral disease prevention in vulnerable populations has resulted in a sustainable model. Ms. Johnson has presented for many diverse audiences including national, state, and local meetings. With passion and enthusiasm, she tells the story of children’s dental disease and provides information on program development while focusing on the prevention of dental disease.

MALIEKA T. JOHNSON, DDS Dr. Johnson is a general and adult special needs dentist at King-Chavez Health Center in San Diego, California. Dr. Johnson received her dental degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2011. She completed a general practice residency at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center in Downey, California where she received specialized training in treating people with special needs and spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries. Dr. Johnson also serves as volunteer faculty for Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health/A. T. Still University. She has been on multiple dental mission trips, volunteers in her local community and helps build homes in Mexico. Dr. Johnson was recently accepted into the ADA Academy for Diversity in Leadership.

GEORGE JOHNSTON, DDS Dr. Johnston is a life-long Montana resident who attended Creighton University School of Dentistry from 1974-1978. He is a member of the Montana Dental Association and previously served on their state board. He participated in several studies with the evidence-based network Northwest Precedent and subsequently Practice-Based Research Network (PBRN). Since 2010 he has served on the Montana State Board of Dentistry and is a WREB grading examiner. After 31 years of private practice, he has spent the last five years working for the Butte, Montana Community Health Center.

GEORGE JUST, DDS Dr. Just has more than 25 years’ experience in the private practice of endodontics. He graduated from Case West Reserve University School of Dentistry in 1973, with honors. After spending two years at Eglin Air Force Base as a dental officer, Dr. Just attended endodontic graduate school at New York University and Peninsula Hospital. In 1988, Dr. Just graduated from Duquesne University School of Law where he was selected for Law Review. In addition to private practice, Dr. Just is an associate professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dentistry, teaching in both undergraduate and graduate departments. Dr. Just is a Diplomate of the American Board of Forensic

Examiners as well as President of the Pittsburgh Endodontic Study Club and the East Suburban Dental Society. He has lectured at dental schools both nationally and internationally.

JOSEPH KATZ, DMD Joseph Katz, DMD, is Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Diagnostic Sciences at the University of Florida. Dr. Katz has an active patient care practice and is deeply involved in teaching and translational research. He was trained at the Hebrew University School of Dental Medicine where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree and residency in Oral Medicine, followed by a fellowship at NIDCR /NIH and the Eastman Institute in London. Dr. Katz is a member of the American Academy of Oral Medicine. He has authored more than 150 peer reviewed publications and sits on editorial boards of various scientific journals.

LISA K. KEARNEY, DDS Dr. Lisa K. Kearney graduated with honors from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) College of Dentistry in 2003. Dr. Kearney worked as an Associate Dentist in a family practice in Tinley Park for three and a half years before joining Erie Family Health Center in March 2007. Dr. Kearney accepted the position as Clinical Director of Oral Health at Erie in August 2012. She strongly believes in Erie’s mission to make quality healthcare a right, not a privilege. Dr. Kearney is an adjunct faculty preceptor for the UIC College of Dentistry.

ETHAN KERNS, DDS Dr. Ethan Kerns has been working at Salud Family Health Centers in Colorado since graduating from the University of Iowa School of Dentistry in 2007. He is currently a preceptor on behalf of four dental schools and enjoys exposing his numerous students to community health. Dr. Kerns has been heavily involved with implementing electronic records and achieving Dental Meaningful Use for the eight Salud Family Health Dental Clinics. He is married and has four children between the ages of 6 months and 6 years and his favorite hobby is spending time with his family.

G. JOSEPH KILSDONK, AuD, MS Since 2004, Dr. Kilsdonk has been a member of Marshfield Clinic’s administrative leadership. Prior to that he taught as an assistant professor and dean, and founded and managed hospital and community based outreach practices. He was the primary investigator for expanding dental education and dental residency startup, has published on medical-dental integration and is a co-investigator on medical-dental integration research. He has spoken to national and international leadership on oral health. Dr. Kilsdonk’s work was also cited in the 2011 IOM report on improving access. He received his doctorate degree from the Arizona School of Health Science.

JANE KOPPELMAN, MPA Jane Koppelman is research director for the Pew Children’s Dental Campaign, supporting efforts to increase access to care and expand community water fluoridation around the country.

Previously, she spent more than 20 years researching and administering health and human service programs for disadvantaged families. She was Deputy Director of a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation program to increase the number of school-based health centers nationwide and was a senior researcher with The George Washington University’s National Health Policy Forum. At The George Washington University she wrote analyses for federal policy makers on government programs designed to improve the health and economic security of disadvantaged children.

COLLEEN LAMPRON, MPH Colleen Lampron is the Quality Improvement Collaborative Director for the First 5 LA Oral Health Learning Collaborative. She previously served as the first Executive Director of the National Network for Oral Health Access, working with community health centers to build a national organization of safety net dental programs. Ms. Lampron was the lead consultant for the design and implementation of the Cavity Free at Three initiative in Colorado and served as Co-Chair of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, Health Disparities Oral Health Collaborative Pilot to address medical/dental collaboration for dental disease prevention. Ms. Lampron trained as an Institute for Healthcare Improvement Breakthrough Series Collaborative Director and has led several initiatives to integrate quality improvement and innovation strategies in health centers nationwide. Ms. Lampron has worked in hospital quality improvement, and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Dominican Republic. She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health and a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health from West Chester University in Pennsylvania.

ALFREDA LANIER, RDH Alfreda Lanier is a dental hygienist at Neighborcare Health Rainier Beach Dental Clinic, a Community Health Center in Seattle, Washington. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene from the University of Washington in 1977 and began her career in community health at Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic. In addition to delivering direct patient care, she held supervisory roles and coordinated oral health screening and education in schools and daycare centers. After 20 years in pediatrics, Ms. Lanier extended her focus to private practice periodontics. Eleven years later she returned to community health with Neighborcare, where she currently practices and supervises dental hygiene student rotations.

SUSAN LAWSON, MA Ms. Lawson is the Oral Health Program Manager at the Ohio Association of Community Health Centers (OACHC). She joined OACHC in 2009 and has been managing two oral health projects during this time - the Early Childhood Oral Health (ECOH) grant and the Strengthening Oral Health in Ohio (SOHiO) grant. She is also the co-author of the ECOH Implementation Guide. Susan is looked to both internally and externally as an oral health subject matter expert. Susan came to OACHC after her time at Nationwide Children’s Hospital as a Research Studies Coordinator for Dr. Paul Casamassimo, DDS. She coordinated a large scale, multiple visit study on the effects of Early

Childhood Caries on weight. This National Institutes of Health grant involved parent motivation assessment, statistics, data entry, counseling, and research protocol management. Susan is married and her favorite role is that of “Nana” to five very special grandchildren.

KECIA LEARY, DDS, MS Dr. Kecia Leary is a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Dentistry for both her dental degree and specialty training in pediatric and dental public health. She is a Diplomate for both the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Board of Public Health Dentistry. She has been with Jordan Valley Community Health Center since 2007, in several capacities. She is currently the Director of Pediatric Dentistry, as well as the Associate Program Director for Lutheran Medical Center Pediatric Dental Residency – at the Springfield, Missouri site. When she is not spending time on dental residents or dental public health issues, she is spending time traveling with her family including her husband Kyle and children Ben and Michaela.

CHAD LENNOX, MPH Chad Lennox is a Program Manager with Washington Dental Service Foundation in Seattle, WA. He oversees the Foundation’s Fluoridation, Public Policy, Seniors and Community Health Center Initiatives. Prior to joining the Foundation, Mr. Lennox served as the Executive Director of numerous policy and advocacy organizations including the Washington, DC based Dialysis Patient Citizens Inc., and the Seattle based Northwest Renal Network. Mr. Lennox has worked on a number of political campaigns and has a Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of South Carolina. He is married and lives in Seattle.

DOUG LEWIS, DDS Dr. Lewis is the Dental Director at Mendocino Community Health Clinics, where he has worked for over ten years. He is located in California, about two hours north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Mendocino Community Health Clinics has three clinic sites, with dental, medical, and behavioral health services available at all sites.

ANN LYNCH Ann Lynch is the Director of Governmental Affairs for the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA). Ms. Lynch directs advocacy efforts at both the state and federal level as ADHA works to transform the profession of dental hygiene. Prior to working at the ADHA, Ms. Lynch served in the Minnesota State Senate from 2007-2010, representing Rochester and surrounding communities. She was the first-ever elected Democrat to hold the seat. During her term, Ms. Lynch served as Vice Chair of the Health and Human Services Budget Division. Other committee assignments included: Capitol Investment, Higher Education Budget and Policy Division, K-12 Education Policy, Health, Housing and Family Security, and the Legislative Commission on Pensions and Retirement.

Among her chief accomplishments was sponsoring the legislation that created the mid-level dental practitioner in Minnesota. Minnesota was the first state in the country to create mid-level dental practitioners. Upon passage of the legislation in 2009, the first “dental therapist” graduated in June 2011. In June 2009, Ms. Lynch was recognized and awarded an ADHA Presidential Citation for her work in oral health. Ms. Lynch first ran for elected office in 2002 and was pleased to serve on the Rochester School Board from 2002-2006. Her career started in the insurance industry and she later became Director of Operations for a records management company in Saint Paul, MN. Lynch grew up in a small Iowa farming community and later attended Hamline University in Saint Paul, Minnesota and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Management.

WILLIAM MAAS, DDS, MPH, MS Dr. Bill Maas is a public health consultant. Since 2009, he has served as an advisor to the children’s dental campaign of the Pew Charitable Trusts, an effort to change state and federal policy to improve dental health of disadvantaged children. During 36 years of federal service, Bill served in the Indian Health Services, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He has a particular interest in the delivery of preventive services to individuals in underserved communities. Bill’s dental degree is from the University of Michigan and his public health degrees were earned from Harvard University.

MARY MCNAMARA Mary McNamara is an experienced communications professional with expertise in the fields of health and nutrition. While with the Meals on Wheels Association of America, Ms. McNamara helped develop and implement a re-branding effort which was named a winner of the PRNews Non-Profit PR Award for 2012. A former Emmy-winning television producer, Ms. McNamara has been with the Pew Charitable Trusts’ children’s dental policy team since October of 2013.

JOHN A. MOLINARI, PHD Dr. Molinari is Director of Infection Control for THE DENTAL ADVISOR. Previously, he served for 32 years at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry as Professor and Director of Infection Control. He has published over 450 scientific articles, text chapters, and abstracts in microbiology/immunology, and lectures nationally and internationally on topics dealing with infectious diseases and infection control. He continues to serve as a consultant for the CDC, ADA, and regional hospitals. Dr. Molinari also was Chairman of the State of Michigan’s Governor’s Risk Reduction and AIDS Policy Commission.

JOSEPH MOUNTAIN, DMD Joseph Mountain, DMD, joined Family First Health as a dentist in August 2005 and currently serves as the Director of Dental Operations West. In this role, Dr. Mountain oversees the full scope of dental services for patients in western York County and Adams County (Pennsylvania), including diagnosis and preventative/restorative dentistry; periodontic and endodontic services; oral surgery; and fixed and removable prostheses. A member of the Adams County Oral Health Task Force, Dr. Mountain is committed to community partnerships. He works with York County Head Start, York City Health Bureau, York City School District, The Links and other organizations to provide dental screenings and outreach to underserved populations, furthering Family First Health’s mission to deliver quality, affordable dental care. Dr. Mountain is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the National Network for Oral Health Access (NNOHA). In 2013, he was honored with NNOHA’s Oral Health Champion Award. He also won the Outstanding Clinician Award from the Pennsylvania Association of Community Health Centers in 2010. Dr. Mountain received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Xavier University of Louisiana and his doctorate degree in dental medicine from the Temple University School of Dentistry before serving his residency at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

LAJUAN MOUNTAIN, DMD LaJuan Mountain, DMD, joined Family First Health as a dentist in August 2005 and currently serves as the Director of Dental Operations East. In this role, Dr. Mountain oversees the full scope of dental services for patients in eastern York County, including diagnosis and preventative/restorative dentistry; periodontic and endodontic services; oral surgery; and fixed and removable prostheses. SUZANNE NEWKIRK, RDH Ms. Newkirk graduated from the University of Alaska, Anchorage, in 1981 and has dedicated the last 31 years to excellence in clinical dental hygiene and periodontics. She is a periodontal therapist, dental hygiene coach and mentor. She is also a Perioscopy instructor and speaker, and is listed on the Seattle Study Club Speakers Bureau List. Ms. Newkirk is a member of the American Dental Hygienist's Association and Georgia State Dental Hygienist's Association.

AN NGUYEN, DDS, MPH Dr. An Nguyen is a graduate of Rhodes College, where she obtained a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology, a graduate of Saint Louis University, where she received a Master’s Degree in Public Health, with a focus in community health, and the University of Tennessee, College of Dentistry. She has spent the entirety of her clinical dental career in community health centers, serving as a staff dentist in rural Arkansas and, later, as the Chief Dental Officer at Sunrise Community Health in Northern Colorado. For the past 5 years, she has served as the Vice-President of Dental Services at Clinica Family Health Services in Boulder and Adams Counties, Colorado. Dr. Nguyen recently completed Johnson & Johnson’s Healthcare Executive Program at UCLA, currently serves on NNOHA’s Practice Management Committee, and received a governor’s appointment to the State of Colorado’s Medical Services Advisory Council. She has particular interests in dental quality, medical-dental integration, and population-based health improvement.

RICHARD NIEDERMAN, DMD Dr. Richard Niederman is professor and chair, Department of Epidemiology and Health Promotion, College of Dentistry, New York University, and director of the NYU Center for Evidence-Based Dentistry.

He graduated magna cum laude in 1976 from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where he also received his periodontal specialty training. He received certificate training in Evidence-Based Medicine at Oxford University in 1996.

He is the founding USA editor of the journal Evidence-Based Dentistry; and co-author of the book Evidence-based Dentistry.

His current work is implementing evidence-based, caries prevention programs in at-risk communities in the U.S. mainland and Hawaii.

TRISH ROELS, DDS Dr. Trish Roels (Rules) graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry. She worked as an associate dentist in private practice for one year in Indiana and two years in Ohio. In 1990 she moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan and began working at Cherry Street Health Services where she became the Dental Director and was later appointed

Chief Oral Health Officer. She has served as an Alternate Delegate to the Michigan Dental Association House of Delegates since 2011 and was appointed to the Michigan Board of Dentistry, NERB examiner, in August 2013.

JAMECA ROUTEN, RDA, MPA Jameca has 15 years of combined clinic development and management experience in the oral healthcare field. She is a registered Dental Assistant with a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. Jameca joined the Illinois Primary Health Care Association in 2012 and she is the liaison between executive dental leadership at member CHC’s and the SNS Consultation Team from the DentaQuest Institute. Ms. Routen develops inter-professional activities among dental/medical programs that enhance access to quality oral health care services. She also provides support for the development of curriculum for the Dental Director Leadership Training Program and works collaboratively with local, state and national entities to increase funding for oral health initiatives.

BOB RUSSELL, DDS, MPH Dr. Russell serves as Public Health Dental Director of the Iowa Department of Public Health. His accomplishments include publishing a dental training manual for Federally Qualified Health Centers and development of a statewide care coordination and promotions campaign (I-Smile) in preparing dental hygienists to increase access to oral healthcare and prevention for Medicaid and uninsured children. Dr. Russell received his dental training at Loyola University of Chicago School of Dentistry and public health training at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. He serves on the National Network for Oral Health Access Board of Directors and the Delta Dental of Iowa Foundation. He is a former member of the HHS Advisory Committee on Training in Primary Care Medicine, and the Dentistry and Association of State and Territorial Dental Director’s Board.

CHRIS SHEA, MUP Chris Shea has served as Chief Executive Officer of Cherry Street Health Services for many years. Cherry Street has the most diverse array of services of any Michigan FQHC. Its leaders envision it as a theater of experimentation for improvements in the clinical delivery of health care and in assuring that all people have access to care. Among Cherry Street’s most innovative developments are its models for integration of physical and behavioral health care. Chris has spent his career within the field of health care for underserved populations including directing community health centers in Michigan and Rhode Island, directing a consortium of small hospitals and work in oral health planning, juvenile justice and substance use disorders. He is a member of NNOHA’s Board of Directors.

TENA SPRINGER, RDH, MA Ms. Springer graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science degree. She completed her Master of Arts degree in Community Health Education at the University of Northern Iowa. After working as a clinical dental hygienist in private

practice for 23 years, in 2004 she began a full time Dental Hygiene faculty position at Des Moines Area Community College. After teaching Community Health for several years, she accepted the Dental Program Director position at Primary Health Care, Inc., in Des Moines, IA. In 2012 she expanded her learning experience by participating in the National Oral Health Learning Institute Scholar program. Since completion of that program, she has implemented and facilitated the development of two new positions of dental clinic managers, and creating for herself a more advanced leadership role in program development and supervision in the organization. Tena lives in Ankeny, Iowa with her husband Jeff. She is a mother of three, a grandmother of two and a pet mother of a chocolate lab and greyhound.

SARAH VANDER BEEK, DMD Dr. Sarah Vander Beek is currently the Chief Dental Officer of Neighborcare Health in Seattle, Washington. She has been with the organization since 2010 and is an advocate for the mission and for oral health. Dr. Vander Beek graduated from A. T. Still University Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in 2009 and completed a General Practice Residency (GPR) at the University of Washington in 2010. Dr. Vander Beek studied sociology at the University of Washington, graduating in 2005. She is passionate about social justice, equity, and building community, and also has a special interest in quality improvement in dental care. With this interest, she has been active in quality improvement, focusing on early childhood caries and using caries risk and motivational interviewing to improve outcomes. She is active in the community through the Seattle King County Dental Society Access Committee, the Head Start advisory council, and the Seattle Central College Technical Advisory Committee.

GREGORY WAITE, DDS Dr. Waite attended Brigham Young University and continued Dental School at Loyola University in Chicago. After graduation from dental school in 1987, Dr. Waite started at Sun Life Family Health Center and he has been the Dental Director for over 25 years. For the past 15 years he has been actively involved in forensics as an odontologist. He spent two weeks in New York after September 11th and in the Gulf States after Hurricane Katrina. He served on the Arizona State Dental Board for eight years, with the last four years serving as the president. Currently, he serves as dental examiner for Western and Northeast Regional Examining Boards.

LESLEE WILLIAMS, BS Leslee Williams conducts communications sessions across the country and has prepared spokespersons at national health associations for interviews with CNN, NBC Nightly News, Good Morning America, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and National Public Radio. Prior to the ADA, Leslee was responsible for national media relations at the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Surgeons’ Oncology Group. A former freelance writer, Leslee has published articles in national magazines

such as American Baby, Family Safety and Health, and Healthy Kids. She holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois.

DIANA ZSCHASCHEL, DDS Dr. Diana Zschaschel is a graduate from UCLA dental school and Hospital Dentistry Residency Program. She incorporated her skills and background in applied behavioral therapy and hospital dentistry to her private practice. She has had privileges at UCLA and St. Vincent’s hospitals where she worked with medical anesthesiologists to treat severely disabled individuals get quality dental care. In 2007 she received the Local Hero of the Year award from Union Bank and was featured on KCET’s Hispanic Heritage Month. She was the featured dentist for a Vista LA Giving Back Episode in 2007. Most recently, she received the Distinguished Alumna of the Year for Service by Chaminade College Preparatory. Dr. Zschaschel started Angels’ Smiles with the vision to bring optimum dental and overall quality healthcare to persons with disabilities (whom she calls her “angels”). This work was recognized by the Los Angeles Times in an article written in June 2008. Dr. Zschaschel started with the Army Reserves in 2001 to assist soldiers and travel for humanitarian missions around the world. She has treated American Indians in South Dakota, as well as indigenous persons in Belize, the Dominican Republic, and Panama. She is currently a Lieutenant Colonel in the 185th Medical Company where she is a dentist. Dr. Zschaschel was recruited by SYHC in 2013 to build their Adult Special Needs clinic. Her experience in the field has been an asset to the organization and the success of this new endeavor.
