From emphasis on what was taught

To a fixation on what was learned

different learning standards

WHEN does all this take place

Formative assessments – throughout each instructional unit (established per team)

Summative assessments (quizzes and unit test) – at the end of each goal/ skill/ learning target –

Remediate students not meeting proficiency and reassess with a second summative

Agenda

Make a PLC meeting agenda to help you and your team get the most out of each meeting. Sequence all critical components.

Goals

With your school – Write down two goals for your school’s PLC’s

WHY are we doing this?

The single most effective strategy to ensure consistent school wide growth regardless of curriculum.

Serves as a mandatory foundation for RTI

We want all teachers and all students to grow

Thoughts from Nido…

Average is out, excellence is in! Be the best and excellent everyday. Choose to be extraordinary.

You cannot win with a fixed mindset

Yes you, they, we CAN. No such things as unrealistic dream only timelines!
