CHAIRMAN’s MESSAGE
Well done to all three teams and coaches against Modbury on Saturday, great to see the pas-sion and commitment put in by all. Sadly another red card so early in the season, something we need to improve on, we need you all on the park.
Congratulations to the reserves on Monday brushing away Cobra’s to progress into the next ro-und of the cup, played some great football out there, although a little nerve racking for the fans at times, the score line certainly flattered the opposition.
This week we come up against top of the league Eastern United, keep to the plan and I am sure you will do well. Keep an eye out on the website and APP, some great things happening there, improving all the time.
Good luck on Saturday.

Team Reports
First Team
The reserves played really well in there second game in with a 4-2 win against Modbury Vista who played really deep defensive game due to our midfield and strikers putting extreme pres-sure on their midfield to frequently turn over possession. A solid team effort which we hope to replicate in today’s match again Eastern United.

We came into this game a little unsettled with in-juries and suspensions resulting in a team reshuf-fle. This gave an opportunity to give some youn-ger boys good game time at senior level and gain some valuable experience. We promoted Kebrown from U16 for his first game and Henry Aplin U17 and they didn’t look out of place. We had a poor first half and took time to settle . For the second week in a row we conceded from a quick counter resulting from our attacking cor-ner. After going 1-0 down early in the second 1/2 we started to settle and control the game. Two quick goals saw us take the three points. We did play well in patches and at kept the ball well at ti-mes but we need to do that on a more consistent basis. It was a scrappy result with room to im-prove but I was really impressed with the young boys stepping up , but well done lads.Peter Capone

Reserves U18s
Well what a great day in the evolution of Playford Patriots. All three sides came away with the points and the crowd support for all three games was fantastic. The senior side were given instructions before the game and they followed them precisely, 3-0 after 15 minutes or so, then the players decided it was rest time and Modbury Vista scored 2 goals in two minutes.
To the teams credit they got back onto the task and at half time we went in 5-2 up with 5 individual goalscorers. A few changes took place at half time and we went out looking for more goals and conso-lidating our gameplay all over the pitch. What the players werent counting on was that Modbury Vista decided that the „Bus” was to be parked slap bang in the middle of defense. So although we dominated the second half with chance after chance we couldnt quite finish it off.We walked off the pitch 5-2 win-ners and one player short after the opposition tactic fooled the officials.
We look forward to the challenge Eastern United brings today and hope by this afternoon we notch another win.

CAPTAIN’S REPORTFor illustrative purpose only
Round 2 Review
The 2017 Season has kicked off to a great start as round 2 proved our dominance at our own for-tress - Ramsay Park, with an exciting 5-2 victory over newly added club Modbury Vista. As all three senior teams strive to maintain their undefeated start to this season, the boys have picked up the paces in training and are thriving off the recent performances to continue into Round 3 against a strong Eastern United line up. Another milestone for the club in positive directions, this weekend’s game proves to be real challenge especially play-ing throughout the high temperatures. I hope everyone enjoys another good game of football and support the boys in numbers as we fight for pole position today.
