As previously announced by the Company on 24 March 2016, the amended business rescue plan in respect of its South African subsidiary, Interna- tional Ferro Metals (SA) (Pty) Limited (‘IFMSA’), has been approved by creditors. Conditional sale agreements have been entered into with Samancor Chrome Limited (‘Saman- cor’). The conditions are being fulfilled and are expected to be completed by the calendar year end. IFL confirms that the sale agreement to dispose of the equity of Sky Chrome Proprietary Limited has been signed, as reported on 19 May 2016. Completion of the equity sale is also subject to a number of conditions precedent being fulfilled, including that the Sale of Business Agreement and Sale of Mining Right Agreement (both part of the amended business rescue plan) have been implemented. Rustenburg – Following last week’s an- nouncement that the body of one of the missing miners was located underground after the fall of ground incident at Impala Rustenburg’s 1 Shaft, management con- firmed that the body of 40-year old Mr Tanki Samuel Lepitikoe was successfully recov- ered on Friday, 20 May 2016, by mine res- cue personnel and has been brought to sur- face. Mr Lepitikoe, originally from Lesotho, was employed as a rock-drill operator at Impala Rustenburg with 4 years’ service with the company. His family will continue to receive counselling and support from the mine fol- lowing his tragic passing, with kind assis- tance from the Department of Mineral Re- sources and the Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union. Rescue efforts continue in an attempt to find Mr Ohemile Moses Maamogwa (55), who has been missing since the incident occurred on 17 May 2016. Mr Maamogwa, originally from the Mo- rokweng Village in Vryburg, is employed as a rock-drill operator at Impala Rustenburg with 31 years’ service with the company.
