To ensure high quality products, DHP integrates the entire manufacturing processes internally from the
warehousing of raw materials, production, and to the final inspection. In 2007, DHP completed a full scale test

The main principles of plate type heat exchangers (PHEs) is to allow the cross-flow of two fluids over a larger
surface area. Plate heat exchangers have high thermal efficiency since the hot fluid flows downwards and the cold
fluid flows upwards over large exposed plates. Compared to a typical tube type heat exchanger, a PHE has several
times higher heat transfer efficiency due to cross-flow and the corrugations in the plates increase turbulence and
reduce the Reynolds number (Re).

Shell & Plate Heat Exchanger
The Shell & Plate Heat Exchanger comprises of the benefits of a Shell & Tube Heat Exchanger and the benefits of
a Plate Heat Exchanger.
This type of a heat exchanger features a welded plate pack contained within a high pressure vessel. The main
applications include condensers, evaporators, or any other application requiring a heat exchanger that can
withstand high pressure and high temperature but in a compact size for space savings or restrictions. The
maximum operating pressure is up to 100 bar and a maximum temperature of up to 400°C.

Spiral Heat Exchanger
The Spiral Heat Exchanger benefits from having wider fluid channels while remaining compact in size with high
heat transfer efficiency. The fluid channels for this type of heat exchanger is welded which virtually eliminates the
risk of mixing between the fluids when compared to a gasket type heat exchanger. Service life is increased and
maintenance cost is reduced since the design of the heat exchanger minimizes fouling. If maintenance is required,
the cover can be easily opened for chemical or mechanical cleaning. Spiral Heat Exchangers allow for free flow of
particulates or slurries and is suitable for applications in the chemical, gas/coal, paper, sugar/food, and textile
industry.

Chemical Industry: preheating, cooling and condensing of various fluids such as dense sulfuric acid in liquid or
vapor phase, oleum, nitric acid, acrylic acid, fatty acid, etc.
Paper Industry: gas, lye cooler, waste gas, turpentine cooler, heat recovery, surface condenser of evaporation
plant, etc.
Food Industry: preheater and surface condenser for juice, vegetable oil, waste water, etc.

Type I: Counter-Flow Spiral Heat Exchanger
The layout of a Counter-Flow Spiral Heat Exchanger allows fluid to flow from
both sides to form perfect counter flow so heat transfer is still possible even if
there is only a minor difference in temperature. If there is fouling from
particulates on the wall surface or at the bottom due to a decrease in flux or
during a stand-by in operation, once the flux has recovered, it acts as self-
cleaning for the contamination. The cross-flow spiral heat exchanger is
suitable for both liquid:liquid and vapor:liquid applications.
Applications: liquid, condenser, gas cooler, etc.
Type II: Cross-Flow Spiral Heat Exchanger
The design of our Cross-Flow Spiral Heat Exchanger where the heat transfer
between fluids occurs vertically and is used for processing mixtures, steam, and
gas for evaporation or condensation purposes. The vertical flow of fluid passes
through heat exchanger at a high flow rates with minimal pressure loss. This type
of spiral heat exchanger is mainly used for steam or gas but can sometimes be
used for heat exchange between liquid:liquid which has a much larger difference
in the flux.
