Construction Certification Requirements Guidelines

Planter Box Photo Requirements

for Certification:

Clear pictures of planter box length, width

and depth.

Pictures of applied waterproofing

material.

Perforated underdrain pipe (3/8” holes (4

rows) drilled every 6” on center or as

required by approved plan).

Depth of #57 stone with clear picture of

measurements.

Depth of choker stone with clear picture of

measurements.

Depth of bio-soil with clear picture of

measurements (MUST be from

approved vendor).

Mulch with clear picture of measurements

(as required by approved plans).

Clear picture of ponding depth measurement

from top of mulch or top of soil (as required

by approved plans).

Clear picture of freeboard (top of the

overflow to top of the planter box wall).

Clear picture of number of plants in each

planter box.

Downspout location with appropriate splash

block or rocks installed.

Downspout must drain onto the splash block

or rocks and downspout must be located

away from overflow pipe, preferably on the

opposite end of the planter box.
