MEASURED AND COORDINATED WITH ADJACENT CONDITIONS. ALL
BIDDING AND CONSTRUCTION COSTS ARE TO INCLUDE A CAREFUL
ANALYSIS OF EACH RELATING TRADE. REPORT DISCREPANCIES
WHICH MAY ADVERSELY AFFECT FINISH WORK AND BUILT-IN WORK
TO THE OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE PRIOR TO BEGINNING OF
CONSTRUCTION.
6. CONTRACTOR SHALL COMPLY WITH ALL DIRECTIVES OF THE
OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE. IF CONFLICTS BETWEEN DRAWINGS,
SPECIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS OF BUILDING OWNER
AND/OR OPERATORS ARISE, THEY SHALL BE BROUGHT TO THE
ATTENTION OF THE OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE IMMEDIATELY.
7. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTAIN ALL CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY,
INCLUDING STORAGE OF MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT, WITHIN THE
CONSTRUCTION LIMITS, AT ALL TIMES BEING RESPONSIBLE FOR
AND ABIDING BY RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE OWNER'S
REPRESENTATIVE.
8. WHERE EXISTING MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT, PIPE, OR SUPPORTS
ARE REMOVED, PATCH AND FINISH THE SURFACE AS REQUIRED TO
MATCH THE EXISTING, UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.

9. DISCONNECTION OR INTERRUPTION OF ANY MECHANICAL, PLUMBING,
OR ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS MUST BE COORDINATED WITH OWNER'S
REPRESENTATIVE AT LEAST 72 HOURS PRIOR TO WORK BEING
PERFORMED.
10. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS OF INTERIOR AND
EXTERIOR AREAS DOCUMENTING EXISTING CONDITIONS BEFORE
PROCEEDING WITH WORK. ATTENTION SHALL BE FOCUSED ON ANY
EXISTING DAMAGE. ANY SUBSEQUENT DAMAGE OCCURRING DURING
THE CONSTRUCTION PERIOD SHALL BE REPLACED AT THE
CONTRACTORS EXPENSE.
11. GENERAL CONTRACTOR TO COORDINATE ACCESS, STAGING,
MATERIAL STORAGE AND DAILY LOGISTICS WITH THE OWNER'S
REPRESENTATIVE REGARDING THE ADJACENT MU PROJECTS CP200012
COOLING TOWER SUPPORT STRUCTURE DEMOLITION, CP191241
NORMAL POWER UPGRADE AND CP190401 MPC RENOVATE GRILLE.
12. GENERAL CONTRACTOR TO COORDINATE WORK PLAN AND SCHEDULE
WITH WORK PERFORMED UNDER CP200012 FOR COOLING TOWER
SUPPORT STRUCTURE REMOVAL. THE SCOPE OF WORK WHICH
INCLUDES REMOVAL OF ROOF 'I' TIMBER SUPPORT AND COOLING
TOWER COMPONENT REMOVAL, IS ANTICIPATED TO BE COMPLETED ON
OR BEFORE MAY 15, 2020. HAUL OFF AND DEBRIS CHUTE WILL BE VIA
ROOFS 'G' AND 'E'.
13. BIDDING CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE DEFERRED SUBMITTAL PREPARED
BY A QUALIFYING INDIVIDUAL FOR THE ANCHOR/FALL PROTECTION
SYSTEM.
14. SPECIAL INSPECTIONS ARE REQUIRED IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CHAPTER 17 OF THE INTERNATIONAL BUILDING CODE: REFER TO
DRAWING SHEET NUMBER S100 FOR SPECIAL INSPECTIONS
LANDSCAPE NOTES:
1. VEHICLES ARE TO USE DESIGNATED CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCES AS
INDICATED ON DRAWINGS OR CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS. IF NO
CONSTRUCTION ROUTE IS INDICATED VEHICLES ARE RESTRICTED TO
SIDEWALKS OR PAVED AREAS. ALL CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT AND
OR VEHICLES SHALL VERIFY THE WEIGHT LIMIT AND RESTRICTION ON
PAVEMENT PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION AND NOTIFY OWNER'S
REPRESENTATIVE OF THE PLANNED ROUTE.

AREAS, TREE ROOT SYSTEMS, TREE CANOPY ZONES, OR IRRIGATION
SYSTEMS, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL USE ALTURNAMATS BY DICA OR
APPROVED EQUAL.
4. VEHICLE ACCESS SHALL NOT BREAK OR RUB TREE BRANCHES. OWNER
WILL PRUNE TREE BRANCHES TO PROVIDE CLEARANCE AROUND
BUILDING ENTRANCE. OWNER REQUIRES ONE WEEK'S NOTICE FOR
THIS WORK TO BE DONE.
5. DO NOT COMPACT GRADE WITHIN THE DRIP LINE OF TREES. PROVIDE
APPROVED FENCING TO PREVENT DRIVING OR EQUIPMENT PARKING
WITHIN DRIP LINE OF TREES, PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION OR WORK IN

STRUCTURAL FAILURE. DEBRIS, RUBBISH AND OTHER MATERIALS FROM THE
CONSTRUCTION SITE SHALL BE REMOVED ON A DAILY BASIS.
2. CONTRACTOR SHALL USE EXTREME CAUTION TO NOT DAMAGE EXISTING ADJACENT
ROOFING, EQUIPMENT, COPING, OR FLASHING TO REMAIN DURING WORK ON THE
ROOF. PROVIDE ADEQUATE PROTECTION BOARD AS NEEDED TO COVER AREAS UNDER
CONSTRUCTION AND AREAS REQUIRED TO ACCESS PROJECT ROOF AREAS FROM
EXISTING ROOF AREAS.
3. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR WATER TIGHTENING OF THE ROOF AREAS AND
ALL RELATED EXTERIOR PENETRATIONS AND AREAS UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT THE
END OF EACH DAY, REGARDLESS OF WEATHER FORECAST. QUANTITY OF ROOF
REMOVAL SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT OF ROOF THAT CAN BE ADEQUATELY
DRIED IN BY THE END OF THAT SAME DAY OR PRIOR TO FORECASTED INCLEMENT
WEATHER.
4. CONTRACTOR SHALL MAINTAIN ROOF DRAINS IN FUNCTIONING CONDITION TO ENSURE
ROOF DRAINAGE AT END OF EACH WORKDAY. PREVENT DEBRIS FROM ENTERING OR
BLOCKING ROOF DRAINS. USE ROOF DRAIN PLUGS SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR THIS
PURPOSE. REMOVE ROOF DRAIN PLUGS AT END OF EACH WORKDAY. WHEN NO WORK
IS TAKING PLACE, OR WHEN RAIN IS IN THE FORECAST. PROVIDE ALTERNATE
DRAINAGE METHODS TO REMOVE WATER AND ELIMINATE PONDING AS REQUIRED.
