Planning a photo-shoot!

For my musical theatre magazine I want to recreate posters. This is my planning for my photo shoot:

Details of the shoot

Chicago

Where: For Chicago I would like to do the shoot within the school building using the green screen so I can create the big ‘C’ in lights to go behind the models, when I get to the editing process.

When:

Props: For this one the props needed would be the guns for part of the shoot.

Model(s): Rachel Thompson, Rebecca Bosman and Lyndon Jackets.

Costume: I would like the girls in red fringed flapper dresses that I am borrowing from drama and Lyndon to be in gangster pinstripe trousers, waistcoat, shirt, tie, hat and blazer/ jacket also borrowed from the drama department.

Make-up: I would like the girls to be fairly natural like they would have been in the 1920’s.

Hair: I would like Becky’s hair to be down whereas Rachel's needs to be pinned up.

Wicked

Where: For this particular shoot I would like it to be again in the green screen within the school so I can play around with the background when I get to the editing stage.

When:

Props: No props needed.

Model(s): Rachel Thompson and Rebecca Bosman.

Costume: For this shoot I would like Rachel to be in white clothing to represent the pureness and kindness of the good witch. In contrast I would like Becky to be in a black witches costume to symbolise the wicked witch.

Make-up: Rachel’s make-up needs to be fairly natural and pretty. Becky needs to be painted green.

Hair: Here I would like Becky’s hair to be down with loose curls in the bottom of the hair, and for Rachel I would like it to be down with tight curls with some silver glitter extensions in randomly.

Singing in the rain

Where: In this shoot I would like it to be set in an outside area for part of it. I would like to capture Becky and Lyndon being the happy two characters that are singing in the rain and I would like Rachel to be captured being the jealous woman. I will take a picture of a plain street or the promenade then use the green screen to capture the models then edit them together.

When:

Props: Umbrellas.

Model(s): Rachel Thompson, Rebecca Bosman and Lyndon Jackets.

Costume: I would like Becky and Lyndon to be in raincoats and wellies. I would like Rachel to be in an old fashioned style dress and fur coat and head band around the forehead.

Make-up: Natural.

Hair: Becky’s needs to be down and wavy. Rachel’s needs to be backcombed and pinned. Up.

A chorus line

Where: In this shoot I would like it to be set in an outside area for part of it. Mamma Mia

Where: For this I would quite like the setting to be on a beach for some of the photos, in a church or churchyard for some others. I would like to do a shot of a bunch of flowers on a lacy background this part I can do at home.

When: TBC

Props: Flowers

Model(s): Rachel Thompson and Rebecca Bosman.

Costume: I would like Becky to be in a nice either maxi-dress or a dip hem dress. For Rachel, I would like her in a white/cream or gold dress, like a wedding style dress.

Make-up: Natural.

Hair: Becky’s needs to be pinned up at the back leaving front bits down and curly. Rachel’s needs to be down and curly.

Legally Blonde

Where: I am going to do part of this shoot on the prom as I want a shot of Elle walking her dog down the street. I would like to also use valley gardens for this then a seminar style room for another part of the shot.

When: TBC

Props: A dog.

Model(s): Rachel Thompson, Rebecca Bosman, and Poppy (the dog).

Costume: For this shoot I would like Rachel to be in a nice pink dress, with pink or nude heels, I would like Becky to be in a black pencil skirt , a shirt and black blazer/ cardigan and black wedges/ heels. I would like Lyndon to be in just a plain top and jeans. And I would like Poppy to be in either a pink tutu or a pink dog coat.

Make-up: Rachel pink lipstick Becky red lipstick.

Hair: Both of the girls hair to be down and curly. Lyndon’s to be just natural.

Cabaret

Where: In this shoot I plan to use the green room and the dance studio.

When: TBC

Props: Chairs.

Model(s): Rachel Thompson and Rebecca Bosman.

Costume: I would like Becky and Rachel to be wearing black vest tops and hot pants with white pinstripe waistcoats, black stocking fashion tights and a black bowler hat with white ribbon round.

Make-up: Red lipstick.

Hair: Both girls need their hairs pinned up for this shoot.

Ghost

Where: For this I need to shoot them in a homely environment so I would like to do this in my living room.

When: TBC

Props: None.

Model(s): Rachel Thompson and Lyndon Jackets.

Costume: I would like Lyndon to be in a white vest top or t-shirt and jeans. I would like Rachel to be in a white long ¾ or short sleeved t-shirt with jeans.

Make-up: Natural.

Hair: Rachel's hair can be however she prefers as I want this to be a quite natural and homely shoot. Lyndon's needs to be just natural.

Grease

Where: Around the school environment and the beach.

When: TBC

Props: None.

Model(s): Rachel Thompson and Lyndon Jackets.

Costume: Rachel: Rachel needs to be in the Rydell High cheerleading uniform for part of the shoot. For another part of the shoot she needs to be in beach wear to create a scene a lot like the first scene of grease the film musical. Lyndon: Lyndon needs to be in a black t-shirt and black trousers/ jeans.

Make-up: Natural.

Hair: Rachel’s hair needs to be in a pony tail for in the school, and just natural for the other part of the shoot. Lyndon needs his hair gelled back in the quiff.

Westside story

Where: In this shoot I would like it on a balcony so I am going to have to use the green screen and edit the models onto a balcony however, I am going to experiment with using outside of the conference room in school as a balcony setting.

When: TBC

Props: None.

Model(s): Rebecca Bosman and Lyndon Jackets.

Costume: I would like Becky to be in a yellow long sleeved top with a red vest dress over the top with long white socks and flat red shoes. Lyndon I would like to be in blue jeans and a white shirt.

Make-up: Natural.

Hair: Becky’s hair would be down and curly. Lyndon’s to be just natural.

Hairspray

Where: Around the school environment and the dance studio.

When: TBC

Props: Tins or hairspray.

Model(s): Rachel Thompson and Rebecca Bosman.

Costume: Rachel: Rachel needs to be in a blue netted puffed out dress with blue shoes and jewellery. Becky: Becky needs to be in a white blouse with a plaid pencil skirt, long white socks and flat black shoes.

Make-up: Becky: Natural. Rachel: Red/pink lipstick.

Hair: Rachel’s needs to be back combed a little bit to make a little beehive with the rest curled. Becky needs to have a big beehive with the bits that are down straight but flicked out at the ends.

Sweeney Todd

Where: Green room.

When: TBC

Props: Butchers knife, barbers knifes.

Model(s): Rebecca Bosman and Lyndon Jackets.

Costume: Becky needs to be in a dirty looking long sleeved blouse and long skirt with a shawl. Lyndon needs to be in a long puffy sleeved shirt with a black/grey waistcoat and black/grey trousers.

Make-up: Pale looking face with dragged out features.

Hair: Becky’s needs to be scruffy and curly. Lyndon’s needs to be backcombed, frizzy and messy.
