PMP are regularly called upon to undertake contracts in hostile environments requiring a very high emphasis on safety.

As a matter of course, all PMP employees receive in-house training fOl" 'Entry into Confined Spaces' prior to receiving their 'EiCS' training from an external training provider.

Experience in the operation of electronic gas monitoring equipment and self rescue breathing apparatus, coupled with safe working procedures , provide our clients with peace of mind in the knowledge that. even the sma llest operation can never be too safe.

VALVE CONTROL REFURBISHMENT

The most common operating system for impound reservoir valve control remains the mechanical headstock connected to remote valves by rotating or rising spindle control rods.

These manual control systems require regular maintenance to prevent them from becoming seized and inoperable.

our Ouallt~ is

~our Assurance

PMP has gained considerable experience in the maintenance, refurbishment and repair of various mechanical control systems, ranging from the simplest of batter valves to the largest and most complex Victorian draw-off mechanisms.

Where the control system is damaged beyond economical repair, we can carry out a system upgrade to remote hydraulic operation.

JOINT ARTICULATION

The Amex-I O-Seal joint repair provides a robust section of rubber which spans the pipe jOint, being mechanically secured on both the upstream and downstream sides of the joint, and provides a unsurpassed resilience to joint elongation and rotation.

The flexibility of the EPDM or N BR Amex-I O-Seal means that future movement of the pipe joint, due to thermal expansion/contraction, or subsequent ground disturbance, can comfortably be accommodated.

By providing the maximum elasticity across the pipe joint, the life of the pipeline is greatly extended, thereby providing the best value return for the minimum capital expenditure.

CONDITION ASSESSMENT

PMP take pride in carrying out man entry condition assessments of structures including impound reservoir draw-off systems, foul sewers, surface water culverts and service reservoirs.

The 1997 confined spaces regulations advocates remote inspection as the preferred method of condition assessments, however, these methods do not always p roduce the info rmation required by an engineer.

By applying safe systems of work, PMP can safely carry out man entry condition assessments so that both the apparent defects and the consequential damage can be seen at first hand.

Using the most appropriate measuring. inspection. nondestructive testing and communications equipment. we offer a wide range of surveys and condition assessments.

SCOPE OF SURVEYS

• Man entry condition assessments of impound reservoir draw-off systems

• Man entry condition assessments of foul sewers

• Man entry condition assessments of surface water culverts

• Man entry condition assessments of service reservoirs

• Pipe condition assessments using an ultrasonic thickness gauge

• Remote visual inspection using an industrial fibrescope

• Precise line & level surveys of sewers and culverts using all types of surveying equipment
