TRANSFER POLICY FOR THE SPECIALTY AND TRIALS: The Club will permit a transfer to the next level class in accordance with AKC regula ons. The request for a Transfer  must be made in wri ng and presented to the Superintendent at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the speci‐fied event, show or trial. Transfer forms will be available at the Superintendent’s Table.

RV Parking There are 50 camping RV spaces available with water available to fill tanks by hose and electric 50, 30 amps or 110.  Honey wagon service at an addi onal cost and is dis‐counted when made with reserva on.  If a sleeping room is purchased and no one stays in the R.V. or uses electric there is no charge to park.  Make reserva ons online at www.dcana onal.com. The cost per night is $70 or $400 for the week. Policies: All campers are expected to keep their campsites clean and orderly and leave them in as good of shape as they found them. Absolutely no dumping of gray or black water tanks under penalty of state and local laws and an AKC bench show ac on.

DIRECTIONS TO THE HOTEL/SHOW SITE From Cleveland A) Route 90 or Route 2 West to Rye Beach Road Exit.  Turn right.  At the traffic light, turn le  onto Route 6. A er 500 yards turn right into Sawmill Creek resort.  B) Ohio Turn‐pike West to Exit 7A (Baumhart Road/Vermilion), proceed North on Baumhart to Route 2.  Go west on Route 2 to Rye Beach Road exit.  Turn right.  At the traffic light, turn le  onto Route 6. A er 500 yards turn right into Sawmill Creek resort.  

From Columbus I‐71 to Route 13 North, which will become Route 250.  Follow un l 13 separates to the right a few miles past Norwalk.  Follow 13 to Route 2.  Go West on Route 2 to Rye Beach Road Exit.  Turn right.  At the traffic light, turn le  onto Route 6. A er 500 yards turn right into Sawmill Creek resort.  

From Toledo A) I‐75 to Route 280.  Exit 280 at Exit 7 (Route 2 East).  A er about 60 miles, exit onto Rye Beach Road.  Turn le .  At the traffic light, turn le  onto Route 6. A er 500 yards turn right into Sawmill Creek resort.  B) Ohio Turnpike to Exit 6A, Route 4 North.  Travel approximately 10 miles to Route 2 East.  Follow to Rye Beach Road Exit.  Turn le .  At the traffic light, turn le  onto Route 6. A er 500 yards turn right into Sawmill Creek resort.  

From Dayton/Cincinna I‐75 North to Findlay.  Take 12 North to 53 North past Fremont, to Route 2 East.  Follow Route 2 to Rye Beach Road Exit. Turn le .  At the traffic light, turn le  onto Route 6. A er 500 yards turn right into Sawmill Creek resort. All hotel & motel sites are considered a part of the show site. All AKC Rules & Regula ons apply. Complaints lodged against any exhibitor or exhibitors will be under the auspices of the DCA Show Event Commi ee. Exhibitors must maintain these facili es in a clean & orderly fashion. The Show Event Commi ee will take disciplinary ac on against an exhibitor for any infringement of AKC Rules & Regula ons regarding show sites & sportsmanship.  

DIRECTIONS TO TRACKING TEST FROM SAWMILL CREEK LODGE: 38 miles=52 minutes per Yahoo.  Go to Cleveland Rd W (US 6) and turn le . Turn right onto Rye Beach Rd (US 6), turn le  there and take the ramp onto US 6 E towards Cleveland.  Con nue on OH 2 E.  Take the OH 13/Huron/Norwalk Exit then turn right onto Mudbrook Rd (OH 13).  Turn le  onto US 250 N then turn le  onto W Church St (OH 113).  Turn right onto S Main St (OH 601) then turn le  onto St Rte 18 E (OH 18).  Con nue on St Rt 18E (OH 18) then turn right onto Gore Orphanage Rd.  Turn le  onto New London Eastern Rd (CR 40) and the parking lot headquarters is on the right.  You will see the tracking flags, portapo y and the other cars. YAHOO DIRECTIONS ADDRESS: 48799 New London Eastern Rd, Wellington,OH 44090. This is the closest numeric address we can guess mate. The test headquarters is a parking lot.  Look for the flags!

DCA Awards Banquet ‐ Friday, May 17 at 6:00 PM

Wrap up a great week with a delicious dinner.  Kick back, eat and drink preceding the program for the evening.  Dinner choices are Chicken Sal mbocca served with roasted redskin potatoes and chef’s vegetable selec on, Lake Erie Perch served with Lyonnaise potatoes and green beans amandine, and BBQ Beef Brisket served with roasted red skin potatoes, southern style corn

DIRECTIONS TO ROAD TRIAL Go South from Huron, Ohio on Ohio Rt. 13.  Ohio Rt. 13 intersects U. S. 250. Go South to Ashland, Ohio.  Go South from Ashland on Ohio Rt.60 through Loudensville to Nashville.  Go South from Nashville on Ohio Rt. 514 to Danville, Ohio.  In Danville turn East on U.S. Rt. 62. At 2.5 miles start looking for Prichard Road on the le . This is a gravel road. If you cross a bridge on U.S.62 you have passed Prichard Road. Turn le  onto Prichard Road. Go 1.3 miles to where the road makes a T intersec on.  At the T intersec on turn right and go a li le over one mile. Turkey Ridge Road dead ends at the Camp Mohaven stone gate posts. Go through the gate posts and bear le  to reach the horse barn.  DO NOT USE GPS TO GO CROSS COUNTRY FROM NASHVILLE TO REACH CAMP MOHAVEN FROM THE NORTH. GPS WILL PUT YOU ON OLD CLOSED LUMBER ROADS WITH NO PLACE TO TURN AROUND.   RESORT HOTEL POLICY: A one‐ me $50.00 non‐refundable pet fee for the hotel room(s). The guest will be responsible for any damages in excess of their deposit.  Maximum of 4 dogs to a room.  All dogs must be registered upon check‐in, No Excep ons.  No bathing of dogs in the hotel rooms whatsoever.  No puppies under 4 months in the hotel rooms whatsoever.  Dogs must be crated when owners are not in a endance.  No excep ons will be made.  Protect the carpe ng by placing crates on plas c shee ng.  Please do not affix any signs, photos or anything else to the hotel room doors or walls.  Please use the door hanger provided when you are away from the room and your dog is inside the room. When walking in the hallways or public areas of the hotel your dog must be under control and on leash.  Be very careful in the use of Flexi‐leads.  Do not allow your dog to freely approach anyone.  Remember that others may not be dog people or, even if they are, may not want your dog to approach them.  You are responsible for cleaning up a er your own dogs.  The Show Commi ee will set up designated dog exercise sta ons and signs indica ng these areas.  These are the only areas where dogs may be exercised.  Excessively or senselessly barking dogs in or out of rooms must be quieted by the owner or they will be re‐moved to another loca on by the Show Commi ee if the owner cannot be located.  This will be enforced.  No dogs are allowed in any area designated by the hotel or otherwise posted.  DCA HOTEL POLICY: Any exhibitor who allows his/her dogs to be loose & una ended in a room or to damage hotel property & does not immediately contact the hotel management to make proper res tu on will be subject to a Show Event Commi ee ac on which could result in the loss of AKC privileges. If it is determined by the Commi ee hearing that rules are being neglected & destruc on and/or misuse of property is taking place, the Commi ee has the authority to correct the problem or seek AKC suspension.  ONLY DOGS THAT ARE ELIGIBLE to be shown under the American Kennel Club Rules shall be al‐ lowed within the Show Precincts. PUPPIES UNDER FOUR (4) MONTHS ARE NOT ALLOWED on the Show Precincts or at any events associated with or held in conjunc on with the DCA Specialty Show. The Show Event Commi ee has the authority to correct a viola on of this AKC Rule.

All dogs must be kept on leash, except when in the obedience ring. 

ONLY DOGS THAT ARE ELIGIBLE to be shown under the American Kennel Club rules shall be al‐ lowed within the Show Precincts. The Sawmill Creek Resort is the show site.  Puppies under four (4) months are not allowed. 

The Show Site & mee ng rooms will be available to exhibitors from 7:00 AM May 13, 2019. 

There will be day cra ng space available behind the ballroom. DCA reserves the right to require that all cra ng must be stacked. This will be the only area where cra ng will be permi ed. There will be no ringside cra ng. Dogs may be crated in the area from 6AM un l 6PM on May 13‐18, 2019. DOGS MAY NOT BE LEFT OVERNIGHT.

The show‐giving club, the Show Superintendent, the land owners or Sawmill Creek Resort, assume no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by the exhibitors, handlers or to any of their dogs or property.

No dogs allowed in rest rooms & no washing of animal food containers in rest rooms. Bathing of dogs limited to bathing area. 

Exercise dogs in designated areas only. 

No videotaping or photography during the events for resale is permi ed without Dalma an Club of America, Inc. approval.

No grooming allowed in the Ballroom. 

No unentered dogs or puppies allowed in building per AKC guidelines. 

No working (prac ce) in rings before or a er show hours. Dogs are allowed in rings only during judging hours and scheduled prac ce  mes. 

No baby strollers are allowed in the show site or adjacent hallways during show hours.

The show‐giving club assumes no responsibility for the welfare of children & further expects  exhibitors & spectators to keep their children under strict control. All AKC Rules and Regula ons will be enforced by the Show Event Commi ee under AKC guide‐ lines. Failure to comply with these rules will result in charges being brought before the Show Event Commi ee. Any event hearing, disciplinary ac on, rule viola ons, complaints, or charges will be resolved by the Dalma an Club of America, Inc. Na onal Specialty Event Commi ee. The Show Event Commi ee members are: Toni Linstedt, Chair, Dr. Charles Garvin, Kevin O’Con‐nell, Paula Olco , SarahAnne Vancleeve, Meg Hennessey and Linda Lombardi.

Unless otherwise specified, all trophies must be claimed the day of the show. None will be mailed, except for those trophies that have been specified herein. The club reserves the right to subs tute a prize of equal or greater value. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarian’s recommenda on to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases and have appropriate vaccina ons. 

This club does not agree to arbitrate claims as set forth on the Official AKC entry form for this event.

Please be advised: when an exhibitor/handler brings a dog to the podium for a win/placement photo they are establishing a de facto contract with the show photographer to purchase that     photo.

CANADIAN EXHIBITORS MUST SUBMIT ENTRIES WITH CHECKS DRAWN ON U.S. ACCOUNTS OR WITH INTER‐NATIONAL MONEY ORDERS IN U.S. FUNDS. 

A Recording Fee of 50 cents for each dog and an AKC Event Service Fee of $3.00 will be required for each recordable single entry class at any Licensed or Member Club Show or Obedience Trial. (American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 11, Section 2). A $3.50 AKC Recording Fee will be required for the first entry in Rally and $3.00 for each additional entry in Rally. (American Kennel Club Rally Regulation, Chapter 1, Section 5).  A $2.00 Event Service Fee will be required for each entry in 4‐6 Month Beginner Puppy. These Fees are paid to the American Kennel Club. 

RETURNED CHECKS / INVALID CREDIT CARDS do not constitute a valid entry.  The Superintendent  will add a collection fee of $25 to the amount of each returned check and credit card.  Subsequent returned checks and credit card from the same exhibitors may result in their being put on a cash‐only basis.   Entry Fee will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or judge, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee. 

No entry fees will be refunded if the Show cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturb‐ances, fire, extreme and or dangerous weather conditions, an  Act of God, public emergency, act of public enemy, strikes or any other cause beyond the control of the Club or the Superintendent. 

No Refund for Duplicate Entries. Every effort to find all duplicate entries will be made;  however, if entry has been processed, no refund will be made.     

Refunds made for cancellation of entries before the closing date will be subject to a $3.00 administrative/processing fee per entry.

No Entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any conditions as to its acceptance. Changes, additions or corrections to entry forms must be received in writing prior to close of entries.  Those received by telephone are not acceptable.

Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging.  Dogs must be ready for judging.  Neither the club nor the Superintendent will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class judging.   Judges need not wait for any dog holding up the class.  Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings.

Exhibitors should follow their veterinarian’s recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases and have appropriate vaccinations.

The show giving club, the Superintendent, their agents, employees, etc., assume no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by exhibitors or handlers to any of their dogs or property, and further assume no responsibility for injury to children. PUBLICATION RIGHTS By entering this show, all owners, handlers, breeders and kennels agree that all rights to televise, videotape, photograph, advertise, promote and publicize or otherwise exploit this show, or the persons or animals participating in it or the results of the competition before, during or after the event, shall belong solely to The American Kennel Club and their respective assigns, including the use of the names, likenesses or biographical matter of all dogs, owners, handlers, breeders and kennels participating in the show and no such owner, handler, breeder or kennel shall allow any other party to make commercial use of any videotape or photograph of any per‐son or animal participating in this competition.

FUTURITY REQUIREMENTS & CLASSIFICATION Dogs shown in Futurity must also be entered in one of the regular classes at the regular entry fee and on the regular entry form. Entrants may be shown by owners or agents. Indicate your Futuri‐ ty Class with the age division in the space provided for "Addi onal Class." Puppies born between November 11, 2017 and November 15, 2018 will be eligible for the 2019 Futurity ONLY. The Dalma an Club of America, Inc. Futurity is open to dogs & bitches that are from properly nominated li ers pursuant to DCA Futurity Rules & to dogs & bitches that have been properly nominated prior to four months of age. The breeder of the dog or bitch must be a member in good standing of the DCA. The name & AKC registra on number of each entry, as well as the owner’s name & address, must have been conveyed to the Futurity Chairman at least one month prior to the date of the Futurity. 

The following classes will be provided for both dogs and bitches whelped between November 11, 2017 and November 15, 2018

DIVISION OF FEES AS PRIZES The fee to enter a puppy in the 2019 Futurity shall be a total of $40.00, $10 of which shall be considered the sustaining fee and the remaining $30 is the actual entry fee to enter the class and will be retained by the superintendent and the Club for show expenses. The Futurity purse is the total of all nomina on fees and sustaining fees minus the 20% that is deducted from the total purse to be used for Futurity expenses.  

20% of total nomina on and sustaining fee purse will be retained by the Club for Futurity expens‐ es. 60% of the total purse will be divided according to the percent of the total entry represented by the number of dogs in each class. The division of monies in each class will be:

The Dalma an Club of America Futurity and the Dalma an Club of America (DCA) offers a “bonus cash Prize” as in incen ve program to increase DCA member’s par cipa on in health screenings and data collec on.  DCA will offer the following special prizes.  These prizes shall be awarded only if the Sire and Dam are CHIC listed. The Sire and Dam shall be deemed CHIC listed if they appear on the CHIC database 10 days before the judging of the Futurity.  

BREEDER(S) OF THE BEST IN FUTURITY winner shall be awarded $500.00 in aggregate by DCA. DCA MEMBER OWNER(S) OF THE SIRE OF THE BEST IN FUTURITY winner shall be awarded $500.00 in aggregate by DCA. DCA MEMBER OWNER(S) OF THE SIRE AND BREEDER OF THE BEST JUNIOR OR SENIOR THAT DOES NOT WIN BEST IN FUTURITY shall be awarded $200.00 in aggregate each by DCA.  

The Futurity chairman shall determine the eligibility of the winners as soon as possible a er the conclusion of Futurity judging. If possible, the special prizes shall be awarded during the Awards Banquet held in conjunc on with the DCA specialty.

NON‐REGULAR (ADDITIONAL) CLASSES INVOLVING MULTIPLE DOG ENTRIES

Note: Chapter 11, Sec on 8 of the Dog Show Rules provides that castrated males may be entered as the Stud Dog & spayed females may be entered as the Brood Bitch. As the judge's decision in the Non‐Regular Classes involving Mul ple Dog Entries is based on the merits of more than one dog or bitch, no one of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judged first in these classes will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won these classes.  

ATTENTION EXHIBITORS IN STUD DOG & BROOD BITCH CLASSES: Rules Applying to Dog Shows ‐ AKC Chapter 14, Sec on 2: (Applying to all Get & Produce Shown) “Any club or associa on giving a dog show must provide arm cards & shall see that every person exhibi ng a dog wears, when in the ring, an arm card containing thereon the catalog number of the dog being exhibited.”  

STUD DOG CLASS ‐ For Stud Dogs and two of their Get. It is not necessary that the Get be under the same ownership as that of the Stud Dog. The Stud Dog may be entered separately in one of the regular classes, or if a Champion of Record in Best of Breed Compe on, but MUST be entered in the Stud Dog Class, the Get MUST be entered in one of the regular classes. The Stud Dog shall be considered as one entry and requires one entry fee, this being the regular fee. The Stud Dog must be shown in the ring with the Get. The class will be judged on the merits of the Get. While the merits of the Stud Dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog must be examined to determine if it has a condi on that would require its disqualifica on or excusal under the AKC Dog Show Rules, AKC Policy, or the standard of the breed.  

BROOD BITCH CLASS ‐ Same as for the Stud Dog except subs tute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and Produce for Get.  

BRACE CLASS ‐ Two dogs with at least one or more common owner. Will require an entry fee of $35.00 as a unit. The two dogs comprising a Brace MUST be named at  me of entry. If a dog which is to be part of a Brace is not entered in another class, it must be entered for “BRACE CLASS ONLY” with a fee of $35.00 for each dog so entered. In making entries for “BRACE CLASS ONLY full par cu‐lars must be given for each dog on individual regular entry forms. An entry form for a dog entered in another class & entered as a part of a Brace MUST be marked accordingly in the space provided for Addi onal Class, “Brace Class.” If more than one Brace is entered by one or more common owner, the dogs comprising EACH Brace must be designated “Brace No 1, Brace No 2,” etc.

JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP COMPETITION

Novice Senior 15 & under 18 yrs • Open Senior 15 & under 18 yrs Master Class

Novice Class ‐ shall be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who at the time entries close have not won three (3) first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class. A first place in Novice without competition leading to a Best  Junior award with  competition would  count as one win  towards moving  to Open   at a licensed or member show.   Junior Handlers who win a third Novice Class with competition,  if a win  in Novice  leads  to a Best  Junior with competition present  it will count as one win  towards moving to Open, after the closing of entries for a show are required to transfer their entry from the Novice Class to the Open Class by notifying the Superintendent or Show Secretary prior to the judging of the class at the show. Open Class ‐ shall be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who have won three  (3)  first place awards  in a Novice Class or  if a win  in Novice leads to a Best Junior with competition present it will count as one win towards moving to Open in a licensed or member show. Master Class ‐  will be for boys & girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years on the day of the show, and who have won 10 Best Junior wins with competition. The calendar for this class will be consistent with the eligibility dates for the AKC National Championship. All Juniors meet‐ing the criteria for this class are required to enter the Master Class and must change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed.  Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class to complete for the following year.  

No entry may be changed or cancelled unless notice of the change or cancellation is received in writing by the Superintendent or Show Secretary named  in the premium  list to receive entries, prior to the closing date and hour for entries, except that a correction may be made from one age division to another, as well as, move from Master to Open or Open to Novice  if a win has been disallowed or the Junior miscalculated number of placements, provided this transfer is made by the Superintendent or Show Secretary prior to the judging of the class at the show. NOTICE: Junior Handlers must include their AKC JUNIOR HANDLER NUMBER on each entry. You may obtain your  junior  identification number by calling the AKC,  Judges Education Depart‐ment (919) 233‐9767.  BE SURE ALL INFORMATION for Junior Showmanship Classes is entered on front and back of entry form.

Special Performance Award – The Triathlete Challenge

If you and your dog are a mul ‐tasking team, set your sights on the SPECIALTY TRIATHLETE CHAL‐LENGE, a special award given to EACH Dalma an/handler team that earns a qualifying leg or pass‐ing  score  in  three  (3) or more performance venues during  the Na onal Specialty.   The eligible events are: Road Trial May 11th – CC, RD, RDX classes; Tracking Tests May 12th; Agility May 12th – all  tling classes; Obedience May 13th – all  tling classes; Rally May 13th – all  tling classes; Barn Hunt May 14th – all  tling classes; Scent Work May 15th and FAST CATS May 15th – all  tling classes.   Only one  score or performance  in each venue will  count  towards  this award, and  the performance must be at the  tling level, although the dog/handler team may already have earned the relevant  tle.  If your dog can hock, heel, sniff, run, jump, just pick your venues and go for the challenge!

The DCA and DCAF will be offering the James W Smith Memorial Health Clinics at the 2019 National Specialty show on Tuesday, May 14. OFA fees and part of the testing costs are underwritten by DCAF making this a great opportunity to update your health testing at an unbeatable price! PUPPY AND VETERAN SWEEPSTAKES Requirements & Classifica on 

Puppy Sweepstakes are open to all Dalma ans 6 months old and under 18 months old on the day of the show. Champions of Record are not allowed to compete.    

Veteran Sweepstakes are open to all Dalma ans 7 years old and over on the day of the show.    

Dogs shown in Sweepstakes MUST be entered in a regular class under the same event number at the regular entry fee.  Indicate your Puppy or Veteran Sweepstakes Class with the age division in the space provided for "Addi onal Classes".  

The following classes will be provided for both dogs and bitches: Junior, 6 months & under 9 months • Junior, 9 months & under 12 months

AGREEMENT I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog. 2.  The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed compe on: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which, according to their owners’ records, have completed the requirements  for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed compe on is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. 

3.    (Event Class) Consult  the classifica on  in  this premium  list.  If  the event class  in which you are entering your dog  is divided,  then,  in addi on  to designa ng  the class, specify  the par cular division of  the class  in which you are entering your dog, i.e., age division, color division, weight division. 

4.  A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the  me entries for an event closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event for which entries closed a er the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registra on cer fi‐cate indica ng that the dog is recorded in his name. State on entry form whether transfer applica on has been mailed to the AKC. (For complete rules, refer to Chapter 11, Sec on 3.) 

5.   Mixed Breed dogs entering classes for Agility, Obedience. and Rally trials should mark Breed as AKC Canine Partners Listed Dog “All American Dog/Mixed Breed.” Variety, Breeder, Sire, Dam informa on shall remain blank for mixed breed entrants.
