NSDB Circuit Inventory Gateway1.000 Release Highlights

The NSDB Circuit Inventory Gateway provides REACT with the capability to interface with the NSDBsystem over TCIS/TOPCOM. The following enhancements have been included in this release:

Provided support for multiple installations on the same platform to connect to more than

one NSDB system (one-to-one relationship between the instance of the interface and theNSDB system)

Increased buffer size for multipoint circuits

Provided a cron job to restart the NSDB server and FCIF parser as needed

Added a REACT config.sys option HNIS_CKTS which specifies whether the circuit accesscode (CAC) or circuit layout order (CLO) request types are supported

Added REACT config.sys options to enable the database server timeout to be independentfrom all other timeouts in REACT

    - DB_SERVER_COMM_TO_HDI_TIMEOUT(Sets database server communication toHekimian Database Interface [HDI])

    - GUI_COMM_TO_DB_SERVER_TIMEOUT(Sets GUI communication to the database server)

NOTE: The GUI_COMM_TO_DB_TIMEOUTcannot be less than theDB_SERVER_COMM_TO_HDI_TIMEOUT .

Additionally, the HDI Multiplexer Module Release 1.000 can be used with the NSDB Circuit InventoryGateway to fetch circuits from multiple NSDB systems from a single instance of the interface. Withthis module, REACT sends a circuit request through the HDI Multiplexer, which is configured to

broadcast the circuit request to multiple NSDB systems. If only one circuit is returned, the circuit isdisplayed in the REACT GUI. If multiple circuits are returned, the circuit that matches the requestedcircuit ID is displayed in the REACT GUI.

    4. The TCIS serverretrieves the circuit

in FCIF format fromthe NSDB source.

    5. The TCIS server sendsthe data to the NSDB

    Gateway Server.

    8. The HDI circuit

    message isreturned to the

    requesting OSS.

    3. The request is forwarded tothe NSDB gateway server,

which sends the request tothe TCIS server via TOPCOM.

    1. Spirents OSS

    requests a circuit.

    2. The HDI circuit

request is sent tothe FCIF Parser.

    6. The circuit data is forwarded

    to the FCIF Parser.

    7. The FCIF Parser receives thecircuit data and generates a

    circuit message in HDI format
