Pipe Clamps
Vardhman bearing offers a range of Pipe Clamps manufactured by vardhman bearings Clamping of pipes in
installations is required to dampen vibrations, provide support to the installation and prevent loosening of the
joints/welds. Vardhman bearing Clamps, with their unique 4-rib construction design, prevent the transmission of
vibrations from the pipe to the frame and vice-versa. They also provide rigid support to the pipe, both in lateral
and longitudinal directions, relieving stresses caused by unequal movements in the pipeline. The material of the
pipe clamps differs to suit working conditions - from relatively cold conditions to temperatures up to 5500C. Hyd-

Heavy Duty Pipe Clamps
Heavy Duty Pipe Clamps are used in installations where heavy pipes and high vibrations are encountered. They are
invariably used for trench layout of pipes and in open-weather conditions.
Heavy Duty Pipe Clamps are available with weld plate mounting for all sizes and for channel mounting with special
"T" nuts for pipe sizes up to 1" or 38 mm OD. Channels are available in lengths of 1/2" meter and are economical
for multiple mounting on a single channel. Both the weld plate and the channel mounting designs are available only
with a top plate in view of the heavy vibration and loading encountered.
Heavy Duty Pipe Clamps with polypropylene bodies are available for pipe sizes up to 8" or 222 mm OD. They are
available in a vertical mounting arrangement or a horizontal multi-clamp arrangement wither back to back or run.
Standard Duty Pipe Clamps
Standard Duty Pipe Clamps are used in installations having average loading with relatively light vibration in the
system. These clamps are ideal for machine tool applications and in instrumentation piping. The clamps may be
used without the top plate for reasons of economy where there is low/no vibration.
Standard Duty Pipe Clamps are also available for channel mounting with special "T" nuts. Channels are available in
lengths of V% meter and are useful for multiple clamping on a single base. They also allow flexibility of clamping
where the pitch between the pipes is uneven. Standard Duty Pipe Clamps are available for pipe sizes up to 2" or 50
mm OD.
Pipe Clamps Assembly with Weld Plate & Screws
Standard Duty Pipe Clamps are used in installations having average loading with relatively light vibration in the
system.These types of pipe clamps are ideal for machine tool applications and in instrumentation piping. The
clamps may be used without the top plate for reasons of economy in equipment with very low or no vibrations.
Where relatively light to moderate vibrations are encountered, the clamps may be used with a top plate for
additional support.
Standard Duty Pipe Clamps are also available for mounting on channels with 'T'nuts. Channels are available in
lengths of 1/2 meter and are useful for multiple clamping on a single base. They also allow flexibity of clamping
where the pitch between the pipes is uneven. Channel-mounted Pipe Clamps may be used with or without the top
plate, depending upon the application.Standard Duty Pipe Clamps are 4" or 101 mm OD.
Heavy Duty Pipe Clamp Assembly With Weld Plate, Top Plate & Hex Bolts
Heavy Duty Pipe Clamps are used in installations where heavy pipes and high vibrations are encountered. They are
invariably used for trench layout of pipes and in open-weather conditions.
Heavy Duty Pipe Clamps are available with weld plate mounting for all sizes and channel mounting with special "T"
nuts for pipe sizes upto 1" or 38 mm OD. Channels are available in lengths of 1 meter and are economical for
multiple mounting on single channel. Both weld plate and channel mounting designs are available only with top
plate in view of the heavy vibration and loading encountered where there are used.
Heavy Duty Clamps with polypropylene bodies are available for pipe size upto 8" or 220 mm OD in the current
program. Heavy Duty Pipe Clamps are also available in vertical mounting arrangement and horizontal multi-clamp
arrangement either back to back or run. Both Standard Duty and Heavy Duty pipe clamps are also available in
other mounting forms for compact and efficient piping where the installation has multiple lines stacked vertically or
horizontally. They may be used in horizontal back to back mounting where excessive loads and vibration are
encountered.

replacement of entire sections. Failures can potentially have catastrophic results.
The vardhman bearings Clamp is an innovatively designed solution for the installation of pipework where anti
corrosion properties are paramount, e.g. in the field of offshore oil and gas exploration. Its design, based on the
tried and tested Stauff Clamp according to DIN 3015, offers installation time reduction and long term cost savings
due to extended service intervals.
The vardhman bearings clamp body design is currently available for sizes 1A, 2 and 3 of the Standard Series.
Throughout its development, vardhman bearings Clamps have been subject to stringent testing at the company's
in-house facilities In order to ensure credibility of the product, the development process also involved independent
testing. To achieve this, the services of Centre for Corrosion Technology of University, have been utilized. In a
controlled laboratory environment, a salt spray test has been applied to various clamp configurations holding AISI
316 stainless steel tubing. Independent field test samples, based on a rig in the Dutch sector of the North Sea,
have also been assessed at the Sheffield Hallam University facility. Both independent tests have recorded positive
results in favour of the attributes of the new clamp.
Vardhman bearings Clamps are made of flame-retardant plastic material and have been designed in compliance
with offshore standard NORSOK Z-CR-010. They are available for the most common Metric and Imperial pipe
diameters from 6 mm to 25,4 mm (1/4 inch to 1 inch).
The geometrically designed rubber strips are in direct contact with the pipe. They avoid crevice corrosion formed
under the clamp body by formation of drainage channels to aid dispersal of water.
