Telling Ohio’s story to site selectors is part of our strategic plan. •  In a first ever, JobsOhio is holding “Ohio Days.” In 2013,

Atlanta, New York, Chicago and Columbus for site selectors.

Daisy Brand is investing $125,000,000 in a new Ohio production facility — Its first sour cream plant east of the Mississippi To win this complex project, JobsOhio forged and managed a team that included: •  Ohio Department of Agriculture •  Ohio EPA •  Ohio Department of Natural Resources •  The Ohio State University •  Team NEO •  City of Wooster •  Wayne Economic Development Council

•  Of the 220 JobsOhio projects won so far this year, 48 (22%) are

international

•  Those 48 projects resulted in the commitment of 2,939 new jobs; 8,235 retained jobs, and $642 million in capital investments.

•  There are 592 totals projects in the JobsOhio pipeline; 171 are

international •  The automotive and advanced manufacturing sectors lead all others in

FDI job growth and capital investment, with Polymers coming in third

•  In Q3, international companies committed to create 927 new jobs, retain 1,664 jobs, and make $132 million in capital investment

JobsOhio Helps Your County to Market Itself

JobsOhio administers the “Ohio One / Ohio In Site” location data base… one of the principal online property databases used by site selectors and consultants to find available sites in Ohio. In early 2013, JobsOhio completed a major overhaul to the system’s management. •  All local sites are now entered by a local economic

development organization into Ohio One through the regional partners to insure complete information and maximize competitiveness.

•  And, regional partners can track status of the request for information on JobsOhio’s SalesForce system…answering the local “what’s happening?” question.

JobsOhio regional partner Appalachian Partnership for Economic Growth collaborated with local EDOs to win a $1.7M federal grant to: •  Inventory available regional facilities and land to be

added into the OhioInsite database. •  Train incumbent workers in targeted industries: metal

fabrication, polymers and chemicals
