Pilot Course Results
Course delivered at DAU-South campus, 8-10 August 2006
17 students attended, 14 USAF, 3 Army, 0 Navy– USAF heavy class; Navy absence a concern– Students tended toward Level III expertise
4 DAU faculty participating (largely monitoring) 7 LOGSA SME’s presented tools 3 other LOGSA participants Bottom Line: Course shows potential, fills a workforce need, and
conforms with future DAU Core Plus framework….but Student feedback from pilot course reflects needed improvement

Course Manager After Action Report
Postpone planned 1Q FY 07 offering to facilitate course corrections and instructor training for LOGSA SMEs
Course manager to coordinate with LOGSA on corrective actions Identify more clearly ILS tools from USAF and Navy Course manager to coordinate with DAU ISD on learning objectives Format for course modules will be:
– Intro of ILS tool concept (e.g., ILS planning)– Explore the tool (e.g., LOGPARS)– Apply the tool in a practical exercise (e.g., LOGPARS supporting ILS
planning)– Evaluate/feedback to gauge learning
Identify DAU faculty for teaching certification Offer 2Q FY 07 course in Huntsville with largely Army audience Coordinate with FIPT to identify demand for other FY 07 offerings

Impacts…
• Features/Benefits…
- Basic training in Supportability Analysis (where little formal training currently exists )
- DoD-wide recognition/accessibility (DAU Course Number and listing)
- Greater use and standardization of Supportability Analysis tools - Minimal DAU resourcing (LOGSA & Service assistance in development, implementation, and instruction)
- Source for Supportability Analysis education and information exchange
- Tentatively planning four course offerings in FY 07
