Not Just Another Day

Today is not just another day. Today is a special day As it is none the less the very gift of life. There are many who have not lived to see this day But I was fortunate enough to awake to its beauty and promise. Let us not live this day as a repetition of yesterday For today is unique to itself; Rather, let us believe that in this day there will be found An-swers to yesterday’s questions And new puzzles and riddles of life to be explored On our way to our tomorrows. Let us take care of our today, As you see today is not just another day As it is my link to my past and the bridge to all my tomor-rows. This is not to say that your today Will always be free of pain or sorrow But that you are alive enough to feel the pinches of life That give the hope for another day To be not just another day. -Chaplain Stephen Fry

Becoming a Hospice Volunteer:

One of the greatest ways to find healing is to help others. PIH Heath Hospice offers rewarding

opportunities ranging from bereavement support, respite care and visiting with patients and families.

Volunteers also assist with clerical support such as phone calls, data entry, monthly mailings and so much more.

Training is provided to prepare volunteers for their chosen role.
