Services at St Peters’ Church Freston During January-February January 6th 11.00 Matins January 20th 11.00 Communion February 3rd 11-00 Matins February 17th 11.00 Communion

Freston Church Bazaar. A record year, the grand total of £1,176.00 was raised ! Many thanks to everyone who helped achieve this and make it such an enjoyable afternoon. It will help maintain the fabric of the church for another year. From Tessa Paul

Tessa and I would like to thank everyone who was able to come to the Carol Service and helping it make it a truly joyful occasion. I feel that this service above all others, shows what Christmas is all about and that all that was missing was snow gently falling ! I remember a Christmas 65 years ago when I lived at the Boot and on Christmas Eve it had snowed very heavily and by 10pm when we closed it was about a couple of feet thick. On getting up on Christmas morning we discovered that during the night, someone had climbed the Boot sign post and had hung a LARGE pair of ladies pink bloomers from the sign! We later found out that it was Jack Adams who lived in one of the cottages opposite the Boot. We put it down to one too many Brown and Milds! A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you. From Malcolm Churchwardens Tessa Paul and Malcolm Farman
