[The cast comes to sudden busy and vocal life. A very young newsboy shouts the traditional "Extra! Get your New York Herald!" Threebusiness men enter from different directions. In comic, stylized pantomime: One buys a flower from the vendor cart, offers a coin, not enough,has to pay more, the vendor shrugs. One gets his pants smudged by a barrel rolled by a porter as they both stare at a passing beauty. As thefirst two men quickly buy a paper from the newsboy, Mickey enters, steals one and steps in to quickly offer it to the last businessman.]
