physician locum tenens – a recruiter’s day!

Physician Locum Tenens – A Recruiter’s Day! I overheard two young doctors discussing their future prospects. They seemed to be fresh from the medical school and were perhaps apprentices or junior doctors who wanted to make it big and fast in the world. The term ‘physician locum tenens ’ cropped up time and again in their conversation. This gave me courage to approach them. In other words my innate recruiter tendencies forced me to approach them. Smiling I introduced myself, not wasting any moment of the valuable time and opportunity that lady luck smilingly offered me today. I was graciously asked to share their table. I plunged forthright into the subject when I proceeded to enlighten them about Nortek Medical Staffing and its expertise in placing medical students as locum tenens in various reputed organizations. One of the doctors showed keen interest in the position as physician locum tenens that he heard was available in one of the hospitals that he was keen to work with. But he had certain apprehensions on the nature of the job, his future prospects as a physician in his chosen organization and most importantly if he could job hop if he found the situation not suitable. Well locum tenens in any field is in great demand, thanks to the thawing of the frozen economy, jobs and opportunities are seeing the light of the day. Hospitals in fact prefer to pay day rate for locum tenens to come in and hold the fort. And all the leading reports wagered that by a wide margin providers are looking for primary care doctors who would readily fill in gaps or when they are understaffed. I proceeded to throw a juicy one when I told them that most hospitals pay extra wages. In fact the trimmings such as being paid per diem or a whopping a 35% extra nailed the doctor who proceeded to buy me my dinner.

Physician Locum Tenens – A Recruiter’s Day!

I overheard two young doctors discussing their future prospects. They seemed to be fresh from the medical school and were perhaps apprentices or junior doctors who wanted to make it big and fast in the world. The term ‘physician locum tenens’ cropped up time and again in their conversation.

I knew then that my day was made and all I needed to do was to get him to sign on the dotted line.
