What is Physical Literacy?
Individuals who are physically literate move with competence in a wide variety of physical activities that benefit the development of the whole person
-Physical and Health Education Canada
Why is Physical Literacy Important?
If a child misses out on learning fundamental movement skills, or has a negative physical education experience, they are unlikely to chose to take part in a sport activity that requires expertise in that skill

Why is it Important for Teachers?
The personal characteristics of an instructor can lead to either a good or a bad experience in a sporting activity
