  • Photosynthesis & Respiration Experiment Setup Using PASCOs carbon dioxide gas sensor makes it easy to quantity and study photosynthesis and respiration. The ease of use and calibration make this sensor perfect for student inquiry experiments. 1)Calibrate sensor by pushing the calibration button while the sensor is in the sample bottle. Build a page with a graph display of CO 2 vs. time. 2)Place sample in the bottle and allow 1-2min before beginning data collection for ~5min. 3)Use a reflective surface and CLF or LED bulb when studying photosynthesis. Highlights One-button sensor calibration Direct measurement of photosynthesis and respiration reactions. *Multiple Y-axis graphing Featured Products Carbon Dioxide Gas Sensor (PS-2110) *Optional Metabolism Chamber (ME-6936) Oxygen Gas Sensor (PS-2126A)

  • Enzyme Activity Experiment Setup Understanding the catalyzed decomposition of hydrogen peroxide is easy with PASCOs oxygen gas sensor. Using yeast, liver, or pant tissues as a source of catalase or peroxidase enzymes the reaction can be measured in the included sample bottle. 1)Calibrate the oxygen sensor in the empty sample bottle. Build a page with a graph display of O 2 vs. time. 2)Place ~20mL of 3% H2O2 into the sample bottle. Add ~2mL of yeast suspension and immediately place the sensor in the bottle. 3)Begin data collection for 90sec. Highlights One-button sensor calibration Direct measurement of photosynthesis and respiration reactions. Fast data collection, allowing time for student investigations Featured Products Metabolism Chamber (ME-6936) Oxygen Gas Sensor (PS-2126A) Carbon Dioxide Gas Sensor (PS-2110) Yeast suspension made using 1pkg of yeast in 500mL of water.
