ELLIS ISLAND, BROOKLYN BRIDGE • ALBANY, NY: Mid morning finds us approaching the Island of Manhattan. We board a passenger boat for a de-lightful sightseeing cruise. This is a great opportunity to get photos of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the Brooklyn Bridge. We make our way to Albany for our overnight.

NER AT THE LODGE: Today we make our way into Vermont where we visit the Shelburne Museum, a remarkable 45-acre reconstruction of three cen-turies of early American life. We check into the famous Trapp Family Lodge. Tonight we’ll treat you to a special New England dinner, served Austrian style in the surroundings of the Trapp Family Lodge. The Sound of Music is the most successful American musical film ever made. The famous Von Trapp Family Singers were on tour in the United States in 1939 when they discovered Stowe, Vermont. This tiny mountain

hamlet reminded them of the home they left behind in Austria. D

CREAM FACTORY TOUR • AFTER-NOON TEA AT TRAPP FAMILY LODGE • DINNER AT THE LODGE: After a hearty breakfast at the Trapp Family Lodge, we begin the day by visiting the Cold Hollow Cider Mill, which features a large cider press, a cider jelly making room, natural ingredient bakery, and impressive retail store. After this we take a tour of the factory that produc-es America’s favorite ice cream, Ben & Jerry’s. We’ll see how it all started in this little Vermont town. Later, back at the Trapp Family Lodge, we’ll enjoy an afternoon Tea and some free time before another tantalizing dinner. B D

HILDENE MANSION • ALBANY • DIN-NER: We have breakfast at the lodge this morning. The Vermont Country Store is known for those practical hard to find items. Step back in time as you browse the aisles of products that still work today as they did “back in the day.” This afternoon we visit Hildene, the stately home of Robert Todd Lincoln. The Georgian Revival mansion contains original furnishings, a

1,000-pipe organ and family memo-rabilia. Dinner is included this evening. Our overnight accommodations are in Albany. B D

6 LANCASTER • QUEEN ESTHER AT SIGHT & SOUND THEATRE •

DINNER: Today’s travels takes us south to Lancaster, PA. We are likely to meet a number of horse and buggies on our way. We arrive at the Sight & Sound Theatre for their inpirational production of Queen Esther. Set in the Persian Empire, it’s a story of bravery and beauty, as she finds the courage to trust God’s plan. After the show we enjoy dinner together before checking into our hotel. D

7 TRAVEL HOME: Continuing on our way home, our minds are filled with

beautiful sights and scenes of our getaway at the Trapp Family Lodge.
