The Paralegal Association of Florida, Inc. (PAF), is a professional association comprised of more than 1,000 paralegals and affiliated firms from across the State of Florida. The Association was incorporated in 1976 as Florida Legal Assistants, Inc. and in 2000, changed its name to more accurately reflect the substantive nature of the members' responsibilities in rendering legal services -- while under the supervision of an attorney -- and clearly distinguish their profession from other law office support personnel.

PAF is the largest and oldest statewide paralegal organization in Florida. An affiliate of the National Association of Legal Assistants, PAF is a recognized leader in the legal community with a strong history which provides PAF with the foundation to continue to provide an effective and well-respected voice for its members.

PAF exercises leadership, provides a strong continuing voice and vision to enhance professional standards, promotes continuing education, and encourages a high order of ethical and professional attainment within the paralegal profession.
