Strengthening ecosystem based adaptation, combating mitigation and invasive species

• by catalyzing funding to implement activities for islands,

• promoting EBA as a key component of the green        economy, climate change and development dialogues.

Linking conservation and sustainable livelihoods to development and the green economy.  

• promoting and catalyzing island leadership in advancing the green economy, 

• identify early leaders and successes as well as facilitate the exchange of experiences through a range of processes which lead up to the review of the Millennium Development Goals in 2015.

assisting more than 30 participant countries in conceiving launching or strengtheningconceiving, launching or strengthening commitments focused on conservation of islands.

securing more than US$ 125 million for islands.

Facilitated Collaboration

On The Ground Action

The Partnership supports participating countries and organizations that share in its mission by:
