Dear Friend, Throughout the month of August, I had the opportunity to travel all across the fourth district and meet with Arizonans from all walks of life, including veterans, farmers, business owners and teachers just to name a few. I had some great conversations and town halls listening to problems that many people are facing but more importantly I listened to the solutions and ideas that many of you offered to fix these problems. It’s amazing sometimes how simple these solutions can be when you use common sense (something sorely needed in Washington DC). I always say this everywhere I go and I’ll say it once more: “the solutions to the challenges our country faces are not going to be solved by bureaucrats in Washington, but rather by hard working folks on the front lines of our economy”. I heard from an overwhelming number of you that Washington must act to create a better environment for job growth, fix our immigration crisis and continue to cut waste, fraud and abuse from government spending. As I return to Washington I will remember your comments and commit myself to developing solutions to fix these important problems. PHOTO ALBUM FROM THE ROAD

Dear Friend,

Throughout the month of August, I had the opportunity to travel all across

the fourth district and meet with Arizonans from all walks of life,

including veterans, farmers, business owners and teachers just to name a

few. I had some great conversations and town halls listening to problems

that many people are facing but more importantly I listened to the

solutions and ideas that many of you offered to fix these problems. It’s

amazing sometimes how simple these solutions can be when you use

common sense (something sorely needed in Washington DC).

I always say this everywhere I go and I’ll say it once more: “the solutions

to the challenges our country faces are not going to be solved by

bureaucrats in Washington, but rather by hard working folks on the front

lines of our economy”.

I heard from an overwhelming number of you that Washington must act to

create a better environment for job growth, fix our immigration crisis and

continue to cut waste, fraud and abuse from government spending. As I

return to Washington I will remember your comments and commit myself

to developing solutions to fix these important problems.

On Thursday, August 28th, I met with local business owners in our San

Tan Valley office for our "Meet-Your-Neighbor" Business event. It was a

great gathering and I enjoyed the opportunity to build new relationships in

the community.

Nothing I love more than spending time with my wife at the Payson

Rodeo.

I met with Jim Salscheider, Lake Havasu Marine Association President

and CEO. I presented him with the Congressional Record Recognition for

LHMA's recent accomplishments. Thank you LHMA for continuing to

provide a safe and clean lake and river environment and enhance the

boating experience.

I was in Lake Havasu City for the Grand Opening of a new Goodwill. The

company provides a critical service to local communities and the new jobs

created by this store are of vital importance.

I visited the Kingman Regional Medical Center. I was able to speak with

medical students and physicians in the Emergency Department.Thank you

for your dedication to provide the best quality healthcare to the residents

of Kingman!

I had a wonderful time touring the Bullhead City Boy and Girls Club with

my friend Daisy Solis Esquer. Daisy was one of the 1st place winners for

my 2014 Easter Card Competition this past Spring. I am grateful for her

taking the time to show me around the Boys and Girls Club and

introducing me to her mother and big brothers. I'm happy to have her

friendship.

I met with the Arizona Lodging and Tourism Association, one of the

leading public policy advocates for Arizona's growing tourism industry.

They represent over 35,000 rooms statewide and 400+ members including

hotels, B&B's and related industry partners.

I visited the Hart Prairie Preserve to take a tour and see how forest

thinning is helping to make our state safer from catastrophic wildfires and

our forests healthier.

I toured the United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) of Central Arizona campus

which includes an Early Learning Center, Therapy Services and a Day

Treatment Therapy for children and adults. UCP serves children and

adults through comprehensive and innovative services designed to enable

“Life Without Limits”. Since its inception in 1952, UCP has been

committed to change and progress for people with disabilities and strives

to ensure their inclusion in every aspect of society.

I had a productive town hall with the Apache Junction Tea Party. This

great group is engaged in the important issues of today.

This past Saturday I was honored to participate in the opening precession

of the Prescott Valley Healing Field of Northern Arizona. It was a special

opportunity for all of the Northern Arizona community leaders to come

together to show unity and support for the families who suffered the loss

of loved ones in the tragic and horrific attack on the US on September 11,

2001.

Yesterday, I was in Apache Junction and held a town hall with the

Association of Mature American Citizens to discuss important issues

facing the senior citizens of Arizona.
