1.Vision

Therefore, we expect to develop a intelligence lock for all kind of

situation(daily office/hotel/access control) with the “phone” as the

key(the RFID card can be assisted a key if necessary), creating a more

secure and convenient life for human kind.

According to daily/office different demand on “lock”,

we have developed four lock categories for different

situation:(1). “BLE phone/card” dual mode: Community gate/ entrance/ door lock/

office building entrance/ warehouse/ mailbox/ elevator/ public

facilities…corresponding to situation which is “children/ old person” might

not have smart phone.

(2). “BLE phone” for long-distance: Vehicle and motorbike/ parking lot.

(3). Daily/ Personal NFC mobile phone: Safe box/ flash drive/ bicycle lock.

Providing all types of locks management in large community

public area:(1). Providing individual community a special unlock key program(PHONEKEY

LOCK DLL), we also can provide community management system if

necessary(chargeable).

(2). Both Card and Phone are able to unlock: Gates/ elevator/ mailbox/ public area

(3). Only resident can unlock: Parking lot entrance(long distance)

3-5.Daily/Office: Office management

Providing all types of locks management in large individual

company:(1). Providing individual company a special unlock key program(PHONEKEY

LOCK.DLL) to be integrated with human resource system.

(2). Card and phone are able to unlock: Entrance/ elevator/ mail box/ public area

(3). Only user can unlock: Parking lot entrance(long distance)

(4). Only resident can unlock: Parking lot entrance(long distance)

Safest home lock solution:(1). Home/office lock, by using phone or card to unlock, are the safest lock solution

based on patented variable value encryption process.

(2). Home lock key setting has major key and “configuration card” dual safety

mechanism, it also designed a safest and convenient “configure card lost reapply

mechanism”

(3). Every key can assign time limitation for convenient

management(resident/staff).

(1).Smart phone has been popularized around the

word,hotel can uses 『smart phone』 to interact

with its tenants instantly, this solution can

increase a very good service performance.

(2).Tenants won’t download hotel’s app without

reasons, unless the app can use mobile phone as

a key to replace a traditional door key, and

therefore tenant would have enough incentive

motivation to download the app.

(3). Still, there are not every tenants have smart

phone(NFC/BlueTooth4.0), that’s why we still keep

RFID room card for door pass, therefore we have

initialized Dual Mode Hotel Lock solution project.

4-2.Conditions

1.Internet connection needless:Technology still could not keep the

internet be always connectable. To assure the lock could be unlocked

in any conditions, thus we have schemed that it does not need internet

connection when unlocking by tenants’ phone key.

2. RFID card mode: Room card doesn’t need internet connection when

configuring and unlocking either.

3. Phone mode: The phone has to be internet connected when tenants

check in the hotel to gain the key combination. It won’t be internet

connected for unlocking thereafter. If the phone could not connect to

internet, we still could use RFID card mode for replacement.

4. Door battery consumption: The door lock do not need to connect the

internet, thus battery consumption is very low. Dry batteries are able

to meet the demand, it would be convenient for battery replacement

and saving the cost.

4-4-2.Situation: Arriving

Remarks:

1. Guest can only apply the room “key combination” during the reserved arrival date. It has be

used in one hour after acquire the “key combination” (decrease the risk of phone lost outside

the hotel)

2. The guest who is using phone as the room key do not need to check-in, therefore the guest

use the key via internet would consider as check-in succeed, guest won’t need to connect the

internet thereafter.

4-4-3.Situation:Departure/Change

1. The app have been divided into guest/staff versions, guest app could

only install one room key at the mean time. If guest request room change,

the program will delete the old room key when the guest acquire the new

room key at the same time. Staff’s app do not have this restriction.

2. Every “key” have time limitation, ordinary guest “key” would set the valid

time on Last Departure Date(or a little additional time), guest can not open

the door once the “key” expired; staff “key” can configure the valid

duration to match the hotel management.

4-4-4.Situation:Phone lost

1. Phone lost before check-in: Guest can use the new phone directly if the

phone number are the same, but if the phone number changed, guest

has to inform hotel to change the phone number to apply check-in.

2.Lost after room opened: To prevent others can use the lost phone to

enter the room, guest has to tell hotel in advance, hotel will notify staffs

immediately, staff open the door would terminate the lost phone’s authority

3. Return to hotel for inform the phone lost:

(1). If guest do not have new phone,

it would instead by a room card. But staff still

has to process the action of section 2 as

mentioned above.

(2) If guest has a new phone, it will reapply the new “key” under 『Phone

Lost』 situation. The new key contains original information about the previous “key”.

When the guest reopen the door, it will terminate the authority of previous “key”.

4-4-5.Situation: Card Mode

1.Check in setting: Using the system to select the room and duration, and then

place a specific card on reader, system will write a room key and valid duration on

card.

2. Card lost: If guest inform hotel that card

lost after check-in, to assure others won’t

open the door illegally, system will inform staff

to unlock the door and terminate the authority

of the card.

※ It won’t be take care anymore if the card

expire.

3. Recycle the card when guest depart from the hotel.

4. Union card: If hotel has situation which is using RFID application like elevator or

4-5-1.Safety Statement

1.Phone mode safety statement:

(1). Multi-layer variable encryption: The downloaded room “key”

won’t contains the original secret “key” information which is

stored in door lock, we won’t be worried about the “key” would

be cracked and cause the permanent destruction.

(2). Dual key combination design: One of the key is a variable key, which is

changed every time after unlocking the door, therefore we won’t be worried about

the key would be captured .

(3). The downloaded room “key” is boned to guest’s phone closely, it won’t be

activated when the “key” is copied into others phone.

(4). Every downloaded “key” have their time limitation, it won’t be activated once expired.

2. RFID Card mode safety statement:

※ Union card(Mifare compatible):

It compatible with encryptable card, each card has to be setting

every time:

1. Encrypted cards’ key different with each other, even

the unlock keys are also different with each other.

※ Those two keys have different algorithms, it is very hard to

decipher.

※ If there is no necessary for 「 union card 」, we can use

PhoneKey Card, with patented technology which has the

highest level of variable authentication code algorithm, the “key”

is continuing variation each time, making the capture useless.

4-5-3.Safety Statement

3. Door Lock「KEY」Safety Statement:

(1). Each door lock has individual “key”, making a variable authentication code through 『LOCK.DLL』 program to unlock, it does completely safe when the database security “key” is

under well protection.

(2). The “key” has to accompany with individual 『LOCK.DLL』 with specific hotel(ex. A281) to

make the unlock key combination, otherwise it won’t be able to unlock. Even the “key” has been

stolen from database, it still could not produce the unlock key for the hotel(A281) without original

“hotel management system”

(3). The change mechanism of the “key” has been offered, it could be changed if necessary.

4. “Common key” mechanism for door lock and indoor safe

※ Phone mode “common key” mechanism

When the guest check-in online, the server will send the

room key and safe’s key to registered phone at the mean

time, the phone can use corresponding key to open door

lock or the safe under real-time computing.

Staff’s app could not open the safe.

※ Card mode “common key” mechanism

Hotel desk gives the card to guest, the room card will store key of

the door lock and the safe at the same time, and the key will do

real-time computing when unlocking.

Staff can apply the specific card for safe unlock on hotel desk

when necessary, this card could only open the safe of assigned

room once, and the valid duration only has one hour.

4-6. Other infrastructure -- Union Card/Phone

1. Elevator Union Card/PhoneTo install a dual mode controller in original elevator

control system.

3. SPA Locker Union Card/PhoneTo install two module of dual mode controller in

original SPA locker system:

First module: Check-in and receive the SPA

locker tag bracelet.

Second module: Using the tag bracelet to

open the corresponding locker in SPA.

2. Union Card/Phone PayTo install a dual mode controller on original PoS

system.

4-7.Electronic Lock Power Supply

1.Power-saving design:Four AA-sized alkaline batteries might last 12 months under normal

operation.

3. Emergency Power Supply(OTG)The door contains emergency power supply socket for powerless

situation on occasion , and it also could be also supplied by phone or

OTG devices to unlock.

2. Staff’s app low battery capacity warning management

If the battery under low capacity situation, it will show the

warning automatically when unlocking door via the staff app,

and notify the management system automatically.

4-8.Data management

1. The data of lock operation can store more than 1,000 records.

The door lock operation will keep 1,000 records in database, it will

overwrite the oldest records when exceed the limit.

2. Lock operation record formatThe record format is 「UID/Time」, the UID would be the phone’s

IMEI code(if unlock by phone) or room card’s UID(if unlock by room

card).

3. Data surveillance management(1). The hotel desk assign the specific room number to authorized staff

(2). The assigned staff use staff app to obtain the key ID and

permission authority, the time limitation is 60 minutes.

(3). The assigned staff use staff app to read data from the specific

room, the data won’t keep on phone but upload onto server via the

phone’s network.

4-9.Statement of Staff’s Authority

1. Based on the management demand and responsibility of guest’s

privacy:

※ Staff use staff’s app to unlock any door has to be connected with

internet, and record the operation data at the mean time.

※ To respect guest’s privacy, guest use guest’s app doesn’t need to

connect the internet and neither transfer the operation data to server.

2. Access authority of indoor safe

※ Guest’s app can open the safe of the same room.

※ Staff’s app couldn’t open safe, it can apply “card” to open on desk if

necessary.

3. The staff can do time and attendance via app, and obtaining the authority at the

same time.

(1). The authority can be deactivated when the staff go of duty, and regain the authority after

sign in on next day.

(2). Hotel management system can assign the authority duty of which door could be opened via

staff(Vault/Safe…etc), and staff’s app will download the keys automatically(no quantity

limitation) after sign in attendance.

5-1.Lock Controller: Initial Idea

In the upcoming universal smart phone era, locks could not only just

“safekeeping”, but integrating with IOT(Internet of Things) technology to

makes locks can be unveiled with many management functions via

phone and cloud network, for example:

(1). It can meet the business demand(client/dispatch list, etc) to change

the authority of “unlocker” and to do time limitation control.

(2). This authority mechanism is by internet without space limitation.

(3). It is acceptable for lock transit(ex. Vehicle’s hatch lock).

(4). Central system can do lock’s operation data.

The “lock” is able to upgrade into one of the super

management tools, thus we will apply our R&D

experiences which are based on years accumulation to
