are you aged 16-25 and experiencing mental health issues which are impacting on your life significantly?

emerge can help.

The emerge program is located at headspace Edinburgh North and headspace Onkaparinga and is designed to be a ‘step up’ service from headspace for young people who require extra levels of support and care.

emerge offers professional counselling and support to young people aged 16-25 who are experiencing the following mental health conditions:• Severe Anxiety • Severe Depression• Eating Disorders• Borderline Personality Disorder

what to expect as part ofthe emerge serviceOur centre is designed to support young people and their family members/friends, and we always aim to be welcoming, friendly and supportive.

The emerge team will provide you with youth friendly therapy, peer support, functional recovery support, and help in coordinating your care and getting support from other services.

When you first come to our centre, you will be greeted by one of our friendly receptionists. You will then be asked to use an iPad to give us some details about your overall wellbeing, so we can offer you the best support possible.

After this, you will meet one of our workers, who will help you develop a care plan that works for you.

Our services are always free! We are here to listen and will keep your information private and confidential.

There are a bunch of ways you can make an appointment with us. Check out the information on the back of this brochure for contact details.

making a referral

The emerge service is for young people aged 16-25. As a young person, you can refer to the centre on your own, or you could be referred by a GP, school or health and community worker.

Family members, carers or friends can also refer on your behalf! However, referrals must take place with your consent.

To make a referral, simply call us with the number provided, or fill out the referral form available on our website and email or fax it to us.

Once we receive your referral, we will be in touch as soon as possible.
