Energy Exchange: Federal Sustainability for the Next Decade2

Learning Outcomes

By attending this session, attendees will:

• Know energy efficiency and renewable energy activities in both GSA-owned and leased buildings, including solar procurement with other federal agencies in California and other finance models.

• Learn about innovative water conservation projects through best practices and behavior changes during times of drought in the west.

• Identify opportunities to increase electric and hydrogen vehicles fueled by renewable energy, which can power our federal buildings during limited electricity availability (storms, earthquakes). Increasing the federal fleet by 5% would eliminate 18million gallons of fuel or save the federal government $55million in fuel per year.

• Describe how agencies can meet their mandated goals, through procurement of goods and services
