Master’s thesistitle Acoustic-to-Articulatory Inversion using the DoubleTalk Corpus

supervisors Steve Renals and Korin Richmonddescription In my thesis, I report on the use of the DoubleTalk corpus for acoustic-to-articulatory

inversion. The DoubleTalk corpus provides time-synchronized acoustic and artic-ulatory (EMA) data for 12 speakers for both read and spontaneous speech styles.Feedforward neural nets were used to perform the inversion. Investigations in-cluded the effects of 2-D versus 3-D space, speech style, and multiple speakers onarticulatory inversion.
